Hello and thanks
Hello!
Good to be back. I did cohens in 2008 and lost 14 kgs. I felt amazing. I did not do refeed properly and then was yo-yo-ing between Cohens and Carbs for 2 year. Then I got married, had babies. Skip 10 years and here we are... Last July I started Keto and went from 105kgs to 79kgs in Dec, but I have been stalling since. I believe my calorie intake is just to high to actually lose anymore fat. All the Keot fans say Calories dont matter, but I'm still wanting to lose another 10 kgs so I am wanting to return to Cohens as this was the only way I had ever successfully went to a small size.... So tomorrow I start. Eeeek! Thanks Helena |

Re: Hello and thanks
Hi Helena,
Good on you for having another go. I think a second or third go can be just what is needed for many. See, the first time, it all feels a bit surreal, and we are fighting the nay-sayers (and sometimes even family/friends). Then success comes, but so too does life, and all kinds of things can happen to have us relax or simply make a mistake, and on can come the weight again. On a repeat though, you already KNOW it works, so no second-guessing needs to happen. It works and you know it does - so you just have to "pay the dues" and it will all work, right? Also, having completed your Plan and receiving Refeed and even Maintenance guidelines, you will already be aware of so much more than you were in your first attempt. So, the signs are all good for you. There are a few still around on here - though the joint isn't jumping like it was back in 2008 eh? But some of us are still here..... Koh

Thanks Kohinoor!
I remember you from that time. Always so kind and supportive. Its a shame that Facebook groups have changed forums (not just this one). It is lovely to know that this safe space still exists though. Have a lovely day. |

Re: Hello and thanks
Hi Helena,
I note you have just joined under this monicker. Would I have known you as another name back then? I tended to keep an eye on Kiwi friends as I are one myself .....
