Tourniquet Challenge: 8 kilosx6 weeks Monday 4th November-Sunday 15th December,2013
The Tourniquet Challenge #3: Eight '8' kilos in 6 weeks Monday 4th June to Sunday 15th December, 2013
G’day Following on from our previous Tourniquet Challenges of June and August, 2012 here we are with a new Tourniquet Challenge, just in time for Christmas 2013! This is an 8 kilo in 6 week Challenge This Challenge is about the fit of our clothes, and how the weight loss makes our clothes more comfortable! I am starting this from Monday 4th November, and it will run through to Sunday 15th December (6 Sundays). Weigh dates are the Mondays – so each Monday including Monday 16th December to cover off on the whole 6 weeks. Measurements are as per the size of your waisted skirts, pants or jeans. Please record your morning weight and the pant or jean size you are wearing on Monday 4th November, and if they are Tourniquet Fit, Tight Fit, or Trim Fit. If you miss weighing or measuring for the start date, you are welcome to join this Challenge anytime through the first two weeks (up to Monday 18th November) based on your weight and clothing size when you joined. Those of us who Challenged in previous Tourniquets achieved a better fit or are a smaller size of clothing. However, the most recent Challenge was 12th August, 2012 and I am back because I am wearing a larger size now than then! Have a look through your wardrobe and choose a couple of items you have kept for when you could fit them again. By the end of this Challenge you may be wearing them again – at least for a couple of weeks, before you lose more weight and those favoured items will then be too big! Won’t you join us? Let’s make Christmas a fashion statement to remember! Be there or be square! Cheers Kristine |

G’Day
OK, so this is me at the start of Tourniquet Challenge #3 Week Two Not a spectacular week but a week nonetheless: Name ... Size ............... Fit.............................Weight.Date... Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 85.00 04/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 83.80 11/11/2013 The size 16 jeans I bought in Glasgow in April are now requiring braces to be able to walk in comfortably ie the jeans not slipping all the time, but the Target jeans, my benchmark jeans, are still Tourniquet Tight! I look forward to the 6 o’clock whistle each day telling me I can now go and change into my Bonds trackie dacks – you know the sort of trackie dacks I mean, the ones which are too awful to wear even to bed but are true comfort dacks for a body which has been in a tourniquet all day! Well, it’s a bit lonely here, all by myself on the way to Loose Fit Land Won't you join me? Come One, Come All! Let’s show all those scoffers that we, too, can look fabulous by Christmas, and that the only muffins will be on the table (not on our hips!) Lotsa love Kristine On my way to a New Me!! |

G’Day
OK, so this is me at the start of Tourniquet Challenge #3 Week Three Reasonable progress this week: A sustained loss of 3.40 kilos Name ... Size ............... Fit.............................Weight.Date... Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 85.00 04/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 83.80 11/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..80.40 18/11/2013 The size 16 Target jeans are still very Tight but perhaps not Tourniquet Tight! This morning I tried on a pair of Miller size 14 jeans which fit comfortably when we went on our trip in February, 2013 I could actually get the zipper done up, but I wouldn’t have been able to sit down in them. I am much encouraged that I will be able to comfortably wear then when we go to Tasmania 15th December Well, it’s still lonely here, all by myself in this Challenge. Won't you join me? Let’s make sure those pretty Christmas clothes at the back of the wardrobe fit a bit better by next week Let’s make this a Muffin Top Free Christmas Zone! Lotsa love Kristine

G’Day
OK, so this is me at the start of Tourniquet Challenge #3 Week Four Thanks, Big Andy, for looking in. It's kinda lonely in here all by myself! I don’t know what weight progress I have made this week, as the scales seem to have lost the plot! On Saturday morning the reading was 74 kilos, today it is 84 kilos. Methinks that a trip to Kmart and a new set of scales may be on the agenda! However, I did make a few purchases at Millers on Saturday, and was quite pleased that the paunch is quite obviously a lot smaller than the last time I attempted to buy some new clothes. Name ... Size ............... Fit.............................Weight.Date... Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 85.00 04/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 83.80 11/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..80.40 18/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..80.40 25/11/2013 Due to the behaviour of the scales, I shall leave the weight record as per last week. I have just put on the size 16 Target jeans and just washed jeans are always a bit tighter than later in the day, but the muffin top is definitely smaller than a week ago. I look forward to our little trip to Tasmania on board Dawn Princess actually being able to wear some of my holiday / party clothes, without embarrassment. The invitation is still open to join me with this Challenge. If it’s just me then I can’t help but be the winner! Lotsa love Kristine

G’Day
OK, so this is me at the start of Tourniquet Challenge #3 Week Six We have our wiz around Tasmania starting on Sunday, so another trip to Millers was necessary. This time I bought some elastic waist pants, lovely and comfy and I could see that even though the scales are dancing around like fireflies the paunch is not as flobby and horrible as it was. Name ... Size ............... Fit.............................Weight.Date... Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 85.00 04/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tourniquet Tight! Huge Bulges!! 83.80 11/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..80.40 18/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..80.40 25/11/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..84.10 02/12/2013 Kristine Size 16 Target Jeans Tight! .......... Big Bulges!!..83.40 09/11/2013 So even though I probably won’t be achieving my goal of being below 80 kilos by the start of our trip I shall return to the program once we have returned to Melbourne Actually, to be fair this is more about maintenance than it is about being actually on the program. I am motivated but it seems, not enough. Emotionally and mentally I can’t seem to gear myself up and even though I want to weigh less than 70 kilos and preferably no more than 65 kilos I know that with a bit of maintenance I will get there without too much trouble … if I will just follow the maintenance rules! We enjoyed a lovely voyage on board Arcadia earlier in the year and during that time I didn’t put on any weight, so you never know I may be back from Tasmania weighing less than when I went. Being on board a passenger liner requires a lot more walking and moving around than the advertisements would have you believe. It’s not all deck chairs and with Tasmania, it is only 6 nights and three of the days are shore days which will be busy and certainly not just days sitting at table! So no posting from me next week and I shall make the final report on this Challenge early in Christmas week Thanks for looking in lil-doll. I see we share the same neck of the woods ... I have never been happier in my life than moving to Bayside, it must be the sea air but wow! I have also never seen so much salt on our cars, either!! Lotsa love Kristine
