Shanara's Refeed Diary
Well that's it. I have started - today. Have been having the extra little bit of protein and Veges thinking I would continue along until i get a bit closer to goal and my departure date and yesterday and today the hungries have hit again. Today was hungry again and seriously looking for food one hour after breakfast.
Tonight I am again so hungry that i am having trouble going to sleep. This afternoon decided that's it - this is officially Day One. So today had the same extra protein and veges as I have been having for the last few days and introduced one 'good' fruit. was so trying to have blueberries but couldn't find any. Can we have frozen blueberries - must ring clinic and find out tomorrow? Had pineapple because it was available and tomorrow I have - wait for it - (drum roll!!!!!!) a slice of bread !!!!! Not sure how I will have it yet. Maybe for dinner or even afternoon tea time. The pineapple smelt great in the shop but when i cut it most of it was overripe so am taking it back tomorrow. I was trying to find fresh lychees - though they would be nice but ended up with pineapple and rockmelon. Ah - that is seasonal. So I am officially started Phase two - refeed. Hope I am reading my body well. Spoke to the clinic again today and she reminded me of your previous chats and says trust our decision. One thing I do know definitely is when I listen to my own inner knowing and voice then no matter how things turn out I am being true to me. I am very hungry tonight and I will not deviate now on refeed so have to go to sleep really hungry. Ah, day two coming up. Shanara

It's an exciting but lightening fast journey. I hope you can think further ahead in the meal planning than I can, it will definitely help. I'm sure you'll work it all out just fine. Good luck!

.3 down today - movement is good.
I am really enjoying the extra food. Pineapple did not taste that great - too sweet but the rockmelon was amazing. I also had a slice of bread this morning with my poached egg and veges and I really enjoyed the texture and I don't seem to have had any ill effect from the bread. I used the same bread i used to eat - cape seed loaf and it seems fine. I will see what the scales say tomorrow. I have noticed now I am really looking for the food each time - be it breakfast, another main meal or a snack. The beauty of having an extra piece of fruit is I get to have a snack between each meal. I am hungry again tonight - not ravenously but could have another snack although of course I won't. Today i went into a fruit store - and there were blueberries - all the way from Queensland - and $10 a punnet. Well I can't believe i did it but I paid the money and will enjoy them totally tomorrow. I have so missed blueberries. I intend to enjoy each and every little berry. Yes , I am enjoying refeed! Shanara

Hi everyone,
What a great day it was today! Weight down - food up - flirting - meeting new friends - peace with son - catching up with old friends - yes - a very good day! Oh, did I enjoy my blueberries today although I have to say the rockmelon has been the tastiest. Another piece of bread today so i had a piece of toast with curried egg on it for lunch today and some salad veges - so yum! Increase of old protein today so my Chilli Prawn Soup seemed to have a lot of prawns. So tasty - and more old protein again tomorrow - wow I can't believe all this extra food - wonderful. My body is loving it - I feel really good. Oh, and yes, I have a date tomorrow night - first one in a long time - so have been flirting ...and it's fun! Marc - sounds like you are also enjoying refeed. You don't have long to go - hope you enjoy the drink. Loving refeed, Shanara

Hopeful - $13 !!!I thought 10 was bad enough. Yes they are yummy. Purple Lady - yes, the rockmelons are sooooo tasty. Extra food is great. Koh - thanks puppy! Yes the smile on my face just gets wider and wider. And I have a date !!! Life just keeps getting better! FlaMie - I am betting that you will also enjoy your refeed very much. I love it and so does my body. Rosemary - Great to know you are visiting - lots to learn about refeed - it's an interesting journey. so far bread no problem for me. Glad your enjoying refeed Shanara.
With 3 days to go (after today) I feel a little bloated. Although this morning I lost 0.4kg of the 0.7kg I put on a couple of days ago. Not sure I'm enjoying refeed to be honest, and am now worried about being released into the wild. Captivity is my safe place and maybe I just need more time. I'll have to be very careful on holiday, that's for sure. I must try not to worry, at the end of the day, I would be happy to go back to pre-refeed programme for a week or two, but don't want to go through refeed again. Dilemma's! Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy your date. p.s. don't talk about Cohen's.

Have fun dating! I have been trying my hand at it too since loosing my weight and while most haven't worked out they have been fun and very good for the self esteem!

Well let me put your curiosity to rest - the date was wonderful. That's all I am saying! Sitting here tonight after extra protein and veges and FOUR fruits !! Had toast again for breakfast with my egg. No problems whatsoever with bread for me. Feels so wonderful to have a full tummy. The fire is on - so are my ugg boots. Watching DVD with my son, full tummy, warm...... does life get better? Weight was .2 up today - don't know why. Will see what tomorrow brings. Looking forward to a banana on tuesday! Had rockmelon and more blueberries today. Bought some ricotta cheese - might make a mango cheesecake tomorrow. oh, loving refeed! Shanara
