And Refeed begins
Hi all
**Looks around and checks out where the loo is in Refeed Land. ***Waves to ruby and suzie "Hi guys" Day 1 Start Weight 61.9 Overnight mov/m 0gm Current Weight 61.9 Changes 1 good fruit Well today was sure exciting. Tis my first day in Refeed. Nothing to complicated. Just extra protein and veg. Made it easy and just had a bigger steak and veg. Already the meal size looks good. Made me worry about the end where the sizing gets HUGE!!! Shall take a leaf out of Suzie's book and split new foods betweens meals just to fit it all in. Have been busy planning, planning, planning my diet for every day of refeed. It is not so hard but must be very very accurate. I found a few mistakes and had to readjust, but will check and keep checking every day. I've decided to buy for a few days at a time re extra Protein and keep in the fridge rather than bag it up and freeze it. I think I will find that easier and less complicated. I think the biggest secret of Refeed is the boy scout motto "Be Prepared"!!! Oh today I got to add a new good fruit. So I chose pineapple. OMG yummoooooo. Was so nice to have another flavour after all this time. I split it and had it for morn and arvo snack. Tomorrow shall be interesting as I already add bread . After reading everyone's reactions towards it I am a bit hesitant. So I chose WB white Low GI no preservatives. Let's see how that goes. I've decided to have an egg on it for breaky. That way if I react I will have all day to get it out of my system before Monday. That's it for today. Time to go pick up my son. Take care all Katie |

Welcome to refeed...
in my opinion it's the 2nd most exciting part of the plan (huge weight loss being the MOST exciting) it takes a bit of time to prep but the food is so yummy it makes preparing it so much fun... or am i just going slightly coocoo love love love being healthy congratz **Chikita |

Wonderful news - so glad you made the decision. ...oh. oh ...security approaching ....no, sir, I'm with her and she belongs here!!!!...oh good they were going to throw me out ....knew I'm still too large for refeed Katie - they took one look at you and knew you were in exactly the right place!! Katie, congratulations on your amazing journey! And I think you can eat these ones. Well not all at once. So excited for oyu. Congratulations on getting to refeed, Katie. So many start out on diets, so few reach the end, and you've probably been one of the many who didn't make it on previous diets. It really is an incredible achievement to lose what you've lost and get to your ideal weight, and most of the overweight population can't do it, so revel in your achievement.
I made my own bread for refeed (bakers' flour, yeast, water, salt and oil) and had no problems eating the total I was allowed each day. Not everyone has a problem with bread, so you may be one of the lucky ones. Enjoy your new food tastes. AJ

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time. My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight. Refeed sounds just so complicated to me. Add abit here, add abit there good fruit, bad fruit. I like being told what to eat when, it doesn't give me any wriggle room. Discipline, just the way I like it. It's fine, I am still a long way off. You must be half way there, almost. Keep up the good work. J

For me, and many...
Refeed IS the best part of the program. And not just because of all the extra food! You actually begin to understand what your body can and can't deal with, and accept on a daily basis. I lost more weight on Refeed, and hope to stay within 'range' for as long as I live (pregnancy excluded!)... Katie, you are enjoying it aren't you? Ruby

Giving this another go as I know it works. It's been years since I fully completed the program, and with great success. But I'm not in a happy place now that menopause is on the menu. 2008 stats: Start weight= 89.9kg (8/8 ) Final weight > refeed = 54.1kg (24/12) |

Day 9, 10, 11
Hi all
Sorry to have taken so long to get back. It's really hard to find 5mins alone in a day to log on. So consequently I haven't bothered. I guess that is what comes with the silly season. Thanks for dropping by Koh, Ruby x2, Snugglebear and AJ Koh, hehehe. Approx there. Size 10's fit very comfortably so I haven't really gone clothes shopping in a bit. Not much spare left over from silly season. Hope you are enjoying your break. Ruby, Thanks for all the support. It's great to hear from those who blazed the trail before me. I'm not really having much effect from bread. I did the first time but persevered, am now eating all 3 slices a day. I switched over to the ordinary wholemeal and am enjoying it much more than the white. I have tried the milk and find I do react to it. Not in weight gain but in nasal drip. Hahah sorry about the graphics. Oh ya.....IM LOVING REFEED!!!! Snugglebear, Refeed is still very disciplined. It states exactly what you can have daily. Trust me, you will love it. AJ, I don't really react to bread now. Am eating all 3 slices a day, and will prob eat some during maint. as I do enjoy a sanga. Most days will be CBs. Hoping all is going well with maintenance. I bet it is. Day 9 Starting weight 61.9 ovn mo/m +200gm Current weight +100gm After looking forward to adding cherries for months, I can say they don't really do a thing for me. Funny how tastes changes. I also go to have my 3 slices a bread a day. Am really enjoying mixing proteins as I no longer have to honour the 5 hour rule. Not that I am eating on top of each other. Just means I get to sleep in longer. And that I LOVE !!! Day 10 Starting weight 61.9 ovn m/m +500gm current weight 62.5gm Didn't panic too much on this day. Late night and very early rising. I didn't get to wait till I weighed and this usually happens on those kind of morns. Stuck to the plan and enjoyed all it offered. No changes except more veg. Day 11 Starting weight 61.9 ovn m/m -900gm Current weight 61.6 Well after a loooong sleep in my theory worked. Dropping a cool 900gm and sitting 300gm below starting weight. Love it. Got to have my first hot cuppa coffee with milk today. And add new protein. Nothing to outrageous, just nicer moister meat off a chook. No effects. Oh got to add strawberries. YUMMMY. Am enjoying those with yoghurt breaky right now. Coffee was ok. Still prefer my black tea. But am following plan. Have decided to trust Dr C 100% and it's paying off. So anyone out there worrying about refeed and it's effects. Just go with it. Not much else to report. Will try to do today's food update tomorrow. And will get to other diaries in the NY. You seem to be following the path I followed, Katie. Eat everything, and it's all okay, and weight stays within range. Keep going with the milk. My consultant told me to stay close to a toilet when I first tried it. Not sure if it was the milk, but the first couple of times -- well, I won't go into detail, nothing too dramatic, but maybe a reaction. However, since then, no problems with milk. However, once on maintenance I've gone back to black coffee most of the time.

So excited to read abt others refeed and i hope to be ordering mine soon. You seem to be doing well Katie..how are the dizzy spells? I am not much of a milk drinker except in the occasional coffee but even the thought of havin sumthin that was forbidden for soo long makes me excited..
