Default jlou/floods

Have just text jlou as I know she lives in the city of Brisbane (I'm about 45 minutes away, on the bayside, so thankfully, not directly affected by the flooding).

She said everything is fine for now. They actually live right beside the river so she is watching the water creep up and they have no power, but they are dry and safe.

She asked me to let everyone on the forum know all is OK. I will update as I find out.

Sue

Heard from jlou again today. She is still coping OK, although there is no sign of power until probably Monday and they may have water turned off soon too. She's actually flooded in now!

She mentioned that a friend of hers, with 2 small boys, has water up to her roof. Jlou asked if anyone has any size 14 clothes that are too big now they might donate?

I certainly don't envy her, watching the boats and debris being swept down the river.

I'm sure everyone's thoughts and prayers are with her, and others who've been affected.

Sue

Thank you Sue for the report. I hope she has all the water she needs for her family if it is turned off ! Washing can wait but not drinking water. There are really bad floods elsewhere in the world too with villages wiped out.So much pain and heartache for so many.
