Unhappy Restarting Old Plan?

Hi all, I find myself back again to Cohens. Had a success in 2010 when I first started the program and lost about 35 - 40 kilos but ended up not doing refeeding after my honeymoon... I can't remember why anymore.

Had a baby in 2014 and new job in 2015 - and back to where I was and plus more. Sadly!

I am planning to restart using my old plan now that the Singapore Cohen clinic is no longer the same one and cost 50% more.

Anyone did the same and still successful?

I am doing my old plan again and is working for me
Not sure how you will go without your refeed and maintenance guidelines but iam sure your old plan should work
But then again hormones could play a part in it as well

I'm also using my old plan and so far it's working for me. While I do think it's important to have the right plan and quantities I also think that it is possible to lose weight on a plan with these strict amounts and guidelines even if it is a little slower than it might be if you had an up to date personalised one. Of course, refeed and maintenance could be an issue but you could contact a clinic and see if they will let you pay for just that portion when you get there, especially as you have paid for your original plan.

My clinic told me that I could just pay per visit if I needed help with maintaining in the future but so far I haven't used that option.

The Singapore clinic which I signed up with that time was closing down (change of ownership) and they were very kind to send me the refeed plan so I do have that.

I am getting ready to start the diet again.

Hi DP,

I had great success with 8+ kgs lost in 6 weeks early last year on my old plan from 11 years ago. I let life distract me and am starting again on the same original plan. A couple of kilos down after week one and feeling amazing!!

Best of luck on your weight loss journey. I look forward to reading about your experiences 😀

Although a little late in joining the hundreds of thousands of woman around the world who pledged their commitment and dedication to a healthy eating plan and weight-loss journey on 01 January (new years resolutions arent my thing), when I woke up this morning to a bloated belly and heavy feeling in my body again ....after a dinner get together with friends ..... I am 100% in the correct head-space to GET BACK ONTO THE COHEN DIET!

I previously tackled the Cohen Diet in 2012.
I followed the diet to the letter (no cheating off the menu selections and plenty of forum support) and watched as the kilograms started to move at a steady 1kg per week.
I felt full of energy, slept like a baby, had glowing skin and hair and just absolutley loved the new lighter me. However about 2kg away from goal weight, I got distracted. Colleagues and friends started noticing the changes in me and compliments came rolling in. STUPIDLY I took the praises to heart and allowed myself a celebratory slice of cake which soon turned into a glass of wine, a 3 course dinner, yummy desserts etc. Followed by curries and rice, pizzas, birthday cakes, no more weighing food portions and just allowing myself to eat what the rest of the family were eating. Needless to say, this did not work! My old ways soon caught up to me....and so did the weight.

I am embarrassed to say that I am now heavier than what I was before I started out on the Cohen programme in 2012
I CANNOT BEAR TO BE THIS SIZE ANY LONGER!
This weight has got to go.
I will not be bound down to excessive overeating, eating the wrong foods, eating the wrong combinations and falling prey to over-commercialised meals. I have had enough of this bad stuff
I am therefore back with a bang, a double dose of determination and a will to shed this excess fat, so that I can reconnect with the slimmer, healthier, happier, more energetic and vibrant version of me

I look forward to your posts of motivation and for all the tidbits that we share
Thank you Dr Cohen for laying the pathway that we can journey along

Hi everyone,

I am also on my old plan - well trying atrociously since 4 January 2016 when I weighed 102.7kg - I am now 96.5 (was that on Saturday - 19.03.2016) even though I have really probably kept to it 25% of the time.

Seeing other people lose faster because they are more committed, I have decided to recommit - since all of yesterday - came in here for support and accountability and hoping to gain some form of focus

I never got to refeed before. I am not sure what I will do when I get there because I don't know if I will afford to sign up again. But as I am still very far off... will cross that ocean when I get to its shore.

All of the best to us all

I also restarted Cohens 3 weeks ago using my original plan. I have lost 8 KG in 3 weeks so it is definitely working for me. My original Cohens journey was very successful. I started at 112 kgs and got down to 85 kgs in 3 months. My spiral started quite close to refeed.
I think I was feeling pretty good about myself and started going out a little more and not following my plan. It spiralled quickly and so did my self confidence.
This time I will be on the look out for those warning signs and be ready for them

Me too! Back on my original plan from 2010 and down 4kg in just over two weeks! Not sure where the four kilos came from as I don't remember seeing them on the scales- I was scared of the scales but now I'm moving in the right direction I've gotten brave again.

Hey gals, I'm from Singapore. I got my plan last year and lost abt 7kg on the program. I've stopped due to hair loss issue......However, I'm restarting my old plan and currently in week 3. I've lost about 4kg.......but the scale is not going down since 3rd week......I've not deviated at all.....wonder any reasons.

I was on zumba and personal training before starting this program and currently still doing it.
