Hi Andy

Where is the Poll?

I intend to be 'finished' by Christmas but will probably be on refeed.

I have no intention at this stage. I see no problem in eating whatever the plan is at that time. If I am still losing weight then I will continue with that part of the program, if on refeed then I will stay on refeed.

I know what ham and Christmas Pudding and wine taste like. They taste the same as in 2007 and will taste the same in 2009. If need be, I shall put a serve aside and freeze it for later.

I know from bitter experience that one meal can mean no weight loss for that complete week. Phooey to that. No one meal tastes that good, that it's worth delaying the program for a week. Been there, done that.

So my primary intention is to be true to myself and give myself the best Christmas Dinner - a tasty Cohen's meal complete with all the trimmings - a bit of tinsel on my glass of soda water.

But January, well by January I should be past refeed, and by January I may even eat a sausage! How about that!!!

Cheers
Kristine

AND .... I shall weigh no more than 60 kilos when I eat that sausage and be swanning about in some new clothes which fit and which I don't spill over the top of! Yeah!!

Even when you finish your plan where you loose weight - you are not off Cohen's if you are following your maintenance guidelines - so with out getting into a big emotional debate - if you are not sticking to your refeed or your maintenance schedule and eating differently your not doing Cohens - its a lifestyle change - not a short term weight loss program where when your finished you hop right back into big heaps of food the same as you ate before you started.

So to answer your point - the answer is one of 2 - 3 -4

Andy

I am planning (fingers crossed) to be finished refeed before christmas. So, yes I am planning to indulge in normally off limits foods over Christmas whilst at social get togethers I admit. However, that doesn't mean I plan to binge. I just would like to sample whatever I fancy in small portions, then lose any kg I have put on straight after christmas. We are planning mostly seafood and salads for christmas anyway, the worst thing will be dessert.

Im planning on sticking 100% to cohens however if I fall of the wagon and have a drink I will not beat myself up, rather jump back on the first bus which will be the next meal.

I know I wont have an issue with the food as I dont have the urge to eat sugar and christmas for us is always seafood. I know that alcohol will be a temptation. I hope by then I will be able to fight it hard.

I would never consider getting off the program for a week or even a day. There is no way I could get back on if I did that.

Good Luck.

should be interesting- will be the first christmas in 30 years without a bottle of port for breakfast during the present openings. Going away just me and the child bride to a quiet coastal town- fresh air, fishing ,relaxing ( all cohens friendly eh)

Question Re: Christmas

Just a bump for all the new people on the forum for Christmas 2010.
It is time to start planning just what and how your going to approach Christmas and the huge pressure with eating and the mountains of food that appear around this time of the year ?
