Default 'Good' fruits

I forgot to ask the consultant this question when I got my refeed, and its now a long weekend with public holidays where I am!

Need some help here:
By the addition of 'Good Fruits' does it also apply to our original list of fruit? i.e. can I have one more apple instead of pineapple?

Thanks in advance!

I think you can, Rakkiizoon. However, as the idea is to reintroduce your body to foods you haven't had for a long time (or maybe ever) and assess the effects on you I think it's wise to include as many of the new foods as you have on your plan.

Congratulations on your achievement.

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time.

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Thanks for the prompt advice, AJ!
Cos I dont have many options off the new 'good' fruit list that are easily available locally except the pineapple. But I guess I'll start to stock up on them!

Hi Rakkiizoon,
On account of me not liking ANY of the fruits on the 'good' fruit list, my consultant suggested I simply double up on one of the 'sweeter' fruits from the original list, such as the stone fruits or allowable melon. Hence today it was 1 peach, 1 apple, 1 nectarine for me.
The theory being I suppose that if I don't like them & I'm unlikely to eat them when on maintenance, why bother introducing the body to something unnecessarily...(as I won't be having it later on anyway).
I hope that makes sense!

Yeah I get what you mean... Perhaps they may be good gauge of similar fruits of the same threshold of sweetness?! I dunno! I'm rather disappointed with the new fruits and vege though!

I'm not sure if everyone has the same new veg list, but I think that the majority would restrict themselves to only a couple of the new veg that were on my list. What an amazing range of vegetables that very few people eat, and even fewer would eat regularly. I did eat everything except okra, which wasn't available (not to sorry about that either), but haven't eaten most since.

Hi

I know these aren't fruit. But in the good vegie section for maintenance, is broccoli, snow peas, or carrots allowed? I miss these ones.

You just made my day Ruby

Amazing what you crave when you can't have something. And it's not the awful donuts or chockies either

Thanks for that.

And Shanara don't stretch that telescope out too long, you will be getting towards goal much faster than you anticipate. This diet is amazingly fast.
And when you do, I will be here to spur you on.
