Singapore Cohenites Gathering 2010

I did promise to be the "Organizer" for the next Cohen Gathering in our last gathering in Oct 09.....So here goes!

Details of 2010 gathering:

Date: 30 January 2009
Time: 2.30pm - 4.30pm
Venue: United Square - Cedele Restaurant

I remember Flamie like the Cedele Restaurant in United Square so I thought it will be nice to at least have one gathering there.

If you have friends who just join or are currently on Cohen, feel free to bring them.

Of course I'll be there, must have a look at another "New You" who, like Flamie, said they'd never be able to do it. But has ultimately learned a lot about herself in the process of this journey! Way to go gal!

Hey Fornight, not only is she from Singapore, she lists you as her referrer!

But she doesn't list a clinic yet so maybe someone you know pretty good!

We need to get CuriousGeorge at the meetup as well. He's one of my referrals like Matt was. Blue_Thunder has put the programme on the back burner for a while. Don't know what happened to Cedele or FlaMie's friend Lim. We need a bunch for fornight's coming out party!

Out of curiosity, why do you meet in Cedele when they sell mainly bread? To show your strong will-power?

You are right! It is a TEST of will power. In our last meetup, FlaMie had grilled dish and Sms had CHEESEcake while the rest of us drool.....

FlaMie said that Cedele has the same food concept of using food as "medicine".

See how you feel nearer the time, DP. I felt awful over the weekend (days 2 and 3) and getting out to wander around and feel normal really helped. I'll be drinking black coffee too!

I went to me mates 1st anniversary dinner the day I started the programme (and had a apple while they all had the best looking seafood barbeque I've seen in a while!) I went to 5 weddings and several flash chinese dinners as part of the People's Association as well. I never shunned any social occasion. It was something I had already made up my mind to do and by jove, I did it! And so can you. Actually, with this crowd, you don't have anything to worry about as we will keep you on the straight & narrow. Matter of fact, that first week or two before you get into the zone, is the best time to have a meetup just to see that we all are for real and not just bodies writing on a forum. I look forward to meeting those who I haven't met and who are just starting out and those who I've watched & encouraged throughout their journey. The gathering is a celebration for fornight, another proud graduate who has become one of the "New You"! Each meetup we have a good mix of newbies, in route & graduates & oldies! Can't ask for a better mix than that. Lot's of information in those meetups. Let's make this a big one!

Devine, you wouldn't need to worry really. In fact, I benefited so much from meeting up with SMS initially while on the programme. I think it really helped that I had my coke light and we chatted for close to 3 hours without food!!!!

Divine - the chit chatting really helps. If you are concerned about the food, I can put a ban on eating! I am, afterall, the organizer and should be entitled to some kind of "power". It can be like a group therapy and we can trash out lots of Questions to successful cohen graduates like sms and FlaMie.

Trust me! I always come out from these gatherings feeling more positive than ever!

firefox, you really would be totally blown over with the talk and sharings by SMS. He is one amazing Cohenite I must say. He is the one that has me committed and motivated till this very min. I truly give him all credits!
