Going over contract question?
But we're only human, I went through some personal issues, fell through a hole and went off the program for over a month. I'm back on but have 16 kilos to lose in a month and a half. Which will most likely not happen as much as I wish and hope. So my question is... What happens if you dont lose enough weight in time? As in what happens if you're not ready for your refeed when your support contract is about to expire? I know I'm not the only one who had deviation/motivaton problems so I'm sure other people would like to know. Do you pay another $680 for another 6 months? Or can you pay for another month or two? I would really like to know! Thanks for any answers!

Re: An important question!
Sofiya,
I'm pretty sure that if you've been fairly dilligent and not yo-yoing and go over the time simply because that's your metabolism, they let you complete. If, however, you've been going on and off and 'mucking around' then it's only fair that they restrict you to the time limit. I will, however, ask Rosemary (who's the owner of the Booragoon clinic) to answer the question with the 'official line'. asy

Re: An important question!
From what I've been told by my clinic, there may be extra charges involved for going past the 6 months.
With me, it's a given that this will happen because I started with 77kg to lose. I think it's up to the clinic to decide if they will charge extra and and how much, on a case by case basis. |

Re: An important question!
I'm confident I'll finish before the time limit given too me so it's not too much of a concern.
Another way to look at it though. How much have you saved by being on Santa's program ? Cutting back in pizza's, fish & chips and other take away food. No more snacks and munchies in the house. Less eating out or snacking while out. It may turn out that you've already saved enough to warrant paying the extra charges. I wouldn't be surprised if you've already saved your initial Cohen's fee. I know I have and it's a *LOT* more expensive here in Singapore. |

Re: An important question!
Thanks heaps for the replies guys!
I started off as 87.5. I lost 7.5 first month, 6 second and 3.5 on the third, because I was skipping meals and having extra fruit because of work hours at my parents shop. Mid march my god son died, I was put in those stupid anti depressants, that and being off the program for a month caused me to gain 4 kilos. . My support contract expires mid june and I need to be around 59 kilos before my refeed. Am stressing out majorly because of that. I dont mind paying a bit extra but Im moving interstate in july and would like to be finished by then I guess. It would be a shame to spend 680 for an extra month or two. And Im a uni student so im poor all the time! But if it comes down to that, I will fork over the extra money, I shouldnt be putting a price on my health anyway. Asy, if your clinic consultant could give some advice that would be great. I've talked to mine but she's telling me not to worry as I should be able to lose most of the weight by then. Thanks heaps guys! xoxo Sofiya

Re: An important question!
Hello Sofiya,
I run the Booragoon clinic in Perth. People lose weight at different rates and on this program your body will only burn fat at the rate that is healthy for you. So because you are an individual, we can not work out exactly how long you will be on your program. We built a time limit into the contract because we had clients who follow their program 100% in the begining and then go way off track, puting most of the fat they have lost back on and then try to start again. The most important reason for this is because if you are on and off your program all the time, it eventually stops working. When you are not following your program 100%, the food you are eating changes the chemistry in your blood and then when you return to your program it is not "tailor made" for that chemistry, it starts to lose its effectiveness. At our clinic in Booragoon, if we have clients who we know are doing everything correctly, but their bodies simply burn fat at a slower rate, we extend their contract time at no cost. Each clinic has the right to set up their own policies with regards to the contract time, so you need to contact your clinic and ask them what they offer. There may be a monthly payment for ongoing support. The only time you would need to pay $680 again, is if you are ordering a new program because your biochemistry has altered too much or you have missed several repeat blood tests. You would then have the initial blood test and Dr Cohen would make up a new program based on the new chemistry of your blood, and you would then have a new contract time attached to that program. I trust I have answered you question adequately. Regards Rosemary |
