Default Simonja's refeed diary

Hello all who want to read this,

I have started Refeed, am on day 2...Hurray....but I still have almost 2 weeks of frozen weighed meats and poultry that of course I want to use. I am finding it a challenge to use up my 'parcels' without wasting anything or eating the same meats three times a day, three days in a row. ( a bit exagerated but you know what I mean) as I take XXgrams from this and XX grams from that to make up my extra protein serves.
How did you folk manage or were you more organised and did not have so much pre frozen before refeed?

I used to take my cheese or tuna for lunch to work but now this is also becoming more challengeing as I have to eventually mix proteins. Any suggestions there? I know I'm not allowed to change cheese portion but may I add eg chicken to my cheese when I need to mix proteins or does cheese, egg, yoghurt need to stay 'alone' proteins?

So sorry if I'm repeating something that may have already been answered but I could not find any thread to it.

Thank you for your help, much appreciated.

Have a great day and a wonderful Cohens Trip.

Somonja.

hey there! yay i have a friend in refeed hehe

you can add chicken or meat to your cheese or egg meals, which means you'd be allowed 1 egg with xamount of extra protein. i dont think you would want to add anything to your yoghurt meal!?! ive been adding an egg to my tuna salads or cottage cheese to tuna salads.. or cheese or egg to tofu.. so yes you can. but im sure you still have a few more days until you need to mix?? are you feeling good now that you've started refeed??

Thank you Hope Ful for your easy to understand advice and thanks Shanara for all those dancing Vitamin B's.

Yes, I do feel 'good' that I have reached this stage but at the moment I feel so 'full', as if I've eaten too much....

Tomorrow is another day, getting closer to the finish line, looking forward to a slice of baked cheese cake...yum LOL

Have a great new week friends

Simonja

Thanks LOUISE...you haven't done so badly yourself, I see you're going great. Terrific!

Well, I'm on day 7 of Refeed but at this stage I felt better on the original Cohen Plan than what I do on my Refeed menu. I do feel hungry but after eating a main meal I feel extremely full and sometimes even uncomfortable. I'm trying to eat all the food recommended. I have never drunk fizzy drinks or eaten the mayonaise, don't miss them either. Every morning I feel like I have put on weight but I haven't. I'll just trottle on and keep reading what others have to say about their Cohen's Journey.

Bye for now

Simonja.

Hi Simonja!

It sounds as if you are going really well on refeed. Do you add all your extras into one meal, or do you split them up over the main 2 meals of the day? I found initially that I felt rather full after eating what was required during refeed, but by splitting it up, I found it a lot easier to manage.

With refeed, I planned for only a couple of days in advance, I made note of the extra proteins I needed to add and then bought in some supplies and parceled them up in accordance to the new protein requirements or the old protein additional requirements. I found that made my life easier. I guess everyone is different and has to do what works best for them.

Hope you get to enjoy your refeed and the extra foods that you are able to enjoy! I found I used my mayo allowance only on refeed, when I had chicken salad sandwiches for lunch! I still have that now on maintenance. I love it!

Keep up the great work you are doing!

Vee

Smile Hi Simoja!

Glad to see someone else join me on Refeed.

I agree on the full feeling with more food now....
I have learned that one should be careful what they wish for. I was perfect on the plan and wished always that I could just have a little more food. Now I am struggling with the extra protein and scaled it back and I already went wrong with the carbs after I had bad side effects from bread. I added rice and extra crackers and I even had nuts that I couldn't resist. I am now up a full 5 pounds from first day of refeed...10 days ago!

Hope you are doing better than I am and that you succeed in keeping it going well! Take care,

Ms. Jiggles
