Glad to hear you're back on track again mate. Sounds like another poll as well. "As a percentage how far along in your program were you when you had the first binge" It might show a correlation between the Cohen Range for target weights and the time when the dangers will most probably present itself (for future information for those come through later). Good post.

Thanks all - funny thing - the old bowls never changed - I was expecting it but .......nothing different to about every three days ........ belly rumbles constant but my body stored the lot I think. I did get a headache again on Monday and Tuesday - maybe connected more than likely as I have had very few aches and pains at all since starting.
Yep I reckon thats a good poll - will set it up soon. Hopefully thats it though - scary - but a learning tool no doubt for me. Its a long time to do the plan and mentally I am finding these few weeks more challenging than the start. When I started I had a kind of euphoric momentum that comes with a new toy - then it seemed to creep along and now it is as if I can see the finish line but not reach it !!!!!! So the old support is so important ......from start to finish...... from all sections of your life be it home work or this forum. Thanks to all Andy

Hi Andy. I've just been catching up with your recent trials and tribulations, and wanted to say I can totally relate to them.... the momentum at the start of the program is great, but after 30+ weeks it's hard to stay focussed at times. I had a week on holidays recently and it was hard to stay on program... and once I deviated I kind of gave myself permission to go a bit crazy at times. I was very disappointed in myself, but it gave me some insights into life after refeed on maintenance, when I am going to have to be very careful not to go completely off the rails.
You've done a great job to be deviation free until now - an amazing show of strength and persistence, and quite inspirational. But, we are all human and social situations can be hard on this program. You're so close to the end, with your track record it should only be a couple of weeks until you're ordering refeed. Go Andy!

Hi Andy
It's stories like yours that inspired me to start with Cohens so thank you for your honesty. I'm dropping by also because I used your smilie by mistake, I'm still getting used to the new forum and when I saw it it was the only smilie I wanted to use, it's a beauty! But I do apologise. The Hubby and I had a big talk this morning about this program and I was telling him that I know my enthusiasm will vary but that's why the forum is so important. Your experience and dedication help others to continue. And as for the apples...I'm impressed too! However I could eat 12 stewed apples in one go no worries. x Loulou

Slacko - and no change really
Well I have been super slack and not updated here in my diary this week - I had a funeral on Monday in Roma and left early to do the three hour trip - so Monday was gone after i got home at 9.00 pm
Tuesday I went pistol shooting and shoot a perfect round - never dropped a shot - and so very pleased at my new agility and flexibility - it was such a pleasure as I also had other training thats fairly physical by nature and it was very enjoyable. I also had a great win on Tuesday in that I acquired a further grant to obtain some more gym gear for our small but well equipped Gym at Augathella - which is well used by the locals and my staff. Its a community gym for the Healthy Living - and I run and look after it as a Community Service - so its great to obtain assistance form others to purchase new equipment. And today I have tried to sort out my office work - paperwork is a drag - and a few other things about the town. The bottom line is that my weight loss has stalled and I have stuck 100% - reread my plan and well its just doing what it does - but strangely enough I know I am loosing weight and its shifting all around my body - I can sense and feel it regardless of the scales - even more reason not to weigh daily - so I will tough it out - for the result it will be - sooner than later no doubt. I have my re feed but will not get to excited about it until I reach my goal weight - which I had expected to be at by 01/04/08 - what a fool I turned out to be on 01/04/08 - seriously though you should never count your chickens before they are hatched !!!!! I am also preparing to take 10 weeks off end of July with our little caravan and travel North to see our daughter who is a Ringer on Moolooloo NT and hopefully link up maybe with our other eldest son who is serving in Timor with the A.D.F - who should nearly be due for shore leave (or what ever the military call it) by end August start September - then head across the top end to WA and then down to Perth - and see if the chooks are about for a look !!!! and a cuppa - but have not seen the old hen on the boards for a while ....... then back through Adelaide and home to Augathella by Sept 20 - so if anyone is about at some stage I would love to catch up for a yarn or to say hello - although we will be up in the top end of Qld,NT, and WA mostly and there is not a lot of persons up that way. Hopefully will not have to do re feed on the road but if I do thats life .......and my lot.....and who cares - I am way past any negatives about food - I have looked it in the eye and stared it down and in doing so learnt so much about the "ME" that it does constantly amaze me. So thats what I have been at for a few days and hopefully things get a rolling again one day. I have enjoyed the frustration and mental challenge .......its all part of the learning curve and its great mental sharpening ... we don't always get things our way in life ....even our body decides at its rate what and when and how ...... we just have to apply the benefited results !!! Well hope every one is having a great week and learning a little something new each day....about themselves. have a good one Andy

Just a big happy hushpuppy I haven't "done" Cohens - Asy knows me from way back - she invited me to "take a look" here - I did, loved it, and stayed... And me? I'm a tall skinny-ish bloke (BMI ~25.5) and have been this way forever, so I haven't faced (weight-wise) what you all have !! |

Back again to do it all over again, starting from exactly the same weight as last time. My health is not good and my doctor is predicting all sorts of nasty things if I don't lose weight. What else do I do? I help people make money and I help people save money. Please take a look at http://www.acnlinks.clancie.com.au/ |
