Ticker problem - "Session Halted"

Hi all,

It seems many are having a problem with one of the Ticker providers. i.e. attempting to make a ticker, and/or updating their ticker and getting a white page with "Session Halted" after clicking "Next".

I had stayed "out of this", as I don't use a ticker (never have, never will ) - but today I tried - AND HAD THE SAME RESULT !!

Now, this kind of "backroom meltdown" is WAY our of my league, and would require the input from either Baloo or Asy.

I will notify them, to see if they can source a resolution. Meanwhile, if anyone else HAD that problem and found a "cure", please post it. Or simply add "an idea" to this thread that might help others.

Hi Koh,

I am trying to update mine and it keeps saying 'Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file' everytime I try to upload my new signature url.

Hi Mel,

I'm not sure, but it sounds a little bit "local" going by the wording (i.e. might be something to do with YOUR computer). Can you try it using a friend's computer?

The good thing about that post is that it takes you by the hand and does a step-by-step walk through the making (and updating) of a ticker.

If it STILL doesn't work for you after this (at all) try what I suggested about "someone else's computer" (in case yours has a weird problem).

After all that, as long as some part of your ticker appears in your sig, we can often do a bit of a repair. In your case, Mel, your signature area is blank, so nothing to work with.....

I had actually tried on two computers but I was doing it the way that I used to do it with a different code type. But the one listed on your link up there worked a treat, so I shall do it that way from now on.
