Are you waiting for Diary Approval?

I didn't receive a plan number. I've checked my info booklet and individual plan (South Africa). Does this mean I won't be able to start a diary?

Hi Chantalv, in Aus, the number is on the bottom of your plan book, mine has my name followed by letters and numbers, that's the number....hope that helps

Heya Chantal! I had a look at my plan and my nr is at the bottom left next to the wording 1st Personal diet. Its a funny nr. Use this one and I almost think that I started my diary withou the number and then simply forwarded it to the Mods as they need this for approval to move your diary from New to Personal!

It seems things haven't been running as they once were around here. Hopefully all is ok with the moderators but I think we will be staying in the new diary section until they come back? I've been in the new diary section since May?

Guys remember the mods on here are people too, this is not a job and certainly not a full time one. From what I understand; they have their own personal things happening at the moment.

The thing I don't get, is why does it matter which diary section we are in? Serious question??

Whatever the reason is that it bothers you, try to remember we all read all sections and the title of which thread you're in doesn't change where you are on your own journey!

That's true, Clairey!! But I do understand the want to be in the personal section. I went through it myself when I first started my diary many moons ago!! It's like a 'belonging' thing.

Don't feel bad for wanting to be in the personal diaries section, but do understand the mods are AWOL at the mo and they will be busy when they come back, I suspect... Have y'all seen all the spam around?!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. NO I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE SARI WRAPS!!! hahaha.

Personally, the reason behind wanting to be moved sections is if you are in the new section, everyone can see your diary. You do not need an account on the forum to read. The Personal diaries section is only viewable to registered forum members.

It has nothing to do with belonging or anything...just a little bit of privacy, for me.

Okay, fair point or people who care due to the privacy side of it. But I know some are panicking over belonging and even going as far as staying off the forum and even deviating because of their diary placement! Seems extreme

Yeah that sounds a bit extreme? I agree with Java on the privacy aspect though. Kinda wish us older timers who now have half our Cohen life story up could be awarded the same privacy... but alas I am happy to wait... not much else I can do! The community is worth it so it's not too big a deal.

Okay it's almost three weeks and I still didn't Get My diary. I've gone through all the steps. I've also been recording on the New members section my diary but would rather have my own diary section!
So hope I can get a reply soon please

You actually just start your own thread in the new diary section and then getting approved (which takes a pretty long time) actually means getting moved to the personal diary section.

Now I get it! Thought I was meant to start where it says New members start here duh! LoL.
Question I have now is if there is a way to shift that thread's location to the New diaries area. If so, to whom should I talk and what should I say?
Reason is that I've logged three weeks of updates almost.

Hey Witty!

Just keep updating that thread... Usually at the bottom of the thread there is a bit that says something like 'section moderators' or something like that. You can always pick one of them and PM them.

There is a moderator active at the moment... Kristine. (she has a thread in the challenges section) and you could PM her to ask.
