Default Making soup

OK, I'm no cook, and I'm struggling with salad for lunch now that the weather is colder and I no longer have any insulation on my body.

So, my work colleague suggested soup.. but apart from the canned variety, I've never made soup.

So, any tips/ recipes to help warm me up over the next few weeks before refeed?

I made this recipe the other day and it was yum, nice and filling.
diced steak allow
onion, mushroom zucchini, cauliflower allow
1 cup water, ground pepper, chilli and garlic, little salt to taste
2 crispbread crushed
heat skillet and spray little oil, brown steak and onion, add all spices, cook about a minute, add water and sprinkle crushed crackers mix until combined, the crackers thicken it a bit, put other vegies into small casserole dish, steam in micrcowave about 2 minutes, add steak and onion mixture and a little more water, so all ingredients are covered, cover with lid or alfoil, cook in mod oven for about 1/2 hour
It is a cross between a soup and a casserole and very tasty, you could make up a few at a time then just reheat for lunches.

Also another favourite you might want to try is sweet and spicy!
you can make this with beef chicken or tofu so....
meat allowance, onion & mushrooms (a portion of vegie allowance save some to have with the dish), diet caff free coke, curry.

Fry meat & onion & mushrooms quickly to seal in flavour, sprinkle desired amount of curry and any other favourite spices, then pour over 1/4 to half can of the coke, cook until moisture is absorbed, serve with desired left over veggies, finely shredded cabbaged lightly steamed is nice.

Does everybody get a recipe book with their program?

I did and it has some really yummy recipes on there such as the chicken soup which i made yesterday.

It was really filling too.

If anybody would like like I am more than happy to type it out on here.

Anna

I got a collection of recipes at the back of my eating plan. I also found heaps of them on the cohens site. I printed all of them off and made myself a recipe book by putting them into one of those display books with a heading for each different section. Easy to find.

Ros.
