Re: A diary for the last tricky bit
Awesome Fflyer,
Sounding good, and likely feeling pretty darn good too. I hope the last few days go well too. Be sure to "tiptoe into maintenance" as others have suggested in the past. There is far too little time in Refeed to check out ALL foods that might trigger a weight gain, so just be mindful of everything you add over the next months. Keep a journal until you are well into maintenance, so you can check back if it seems like the wheels are falling off. Oh, and one other important thing - do check out this group of posts re RESET, in case you need to do that at some time - this info is SUPER important, so just click the link below:- https://newyouforum.com/forum/showth...654#post447654 Meanwhile, you go girl !! You are totally rocking this refeed thing !! Koh

Hey there,
How did Refeed go? Are you now maintaining? Do let us know, won't you? Koh

Re: A diary for the last tricky bit
So going along in maintenance land pretty happily ... I'd settled on a weight that was above my Cohen's goal range but felt good, clothes felt good ... then I got a flu and have had about 6 weeks of feeling generally unwell, and my weight has gone up and my tummy has got bigger and my clothes felt too tight. So I am doing a couple of weeks clean eating back to basic Cohen's - with an eye to evening out the hunger hormones and reducing inflammation. After just 2 days back 100% I've dropped weight, tummy is deflating and clothes are feeling better. Phew. This programme is gold.

I can honestly say I am so so glad I went back to it - but I did do it with a new plan and it was at a time when I could fully focus on myself and just knuckling down to the task - I think that made all the difference. But I think its a great thing to do for yourself. I hope you find its the right time for you |

Re: A diary for the last tricky bit
I have come here a couple times to see if doing this plan again may be the answer to help me stop being a yo yo dieter. And I can’t find my old program food amounts.. just the instruction booklet. I think my plan is too old and I’m a lot older so I may do what you did and get a new one. I find the price fairly reasonable.
My weight is causing me health problems and I’m ready to get it under control but honestly this program scares the beejeezus out of me. I have never done a good refeed and that is the most important part! I’m glad for your success. That really is motivating! |

Re: A diary for the last tricky bit
Hi again,
I just replied re your hypertension (I don't believe it will work against you getting a Plan - in fact, I think a Plan will HELP you to get the HBP down to Normal). So I hope you DO go get a new one - in that way, the food amounts will be tailored to YOU today. e.g. as we age, food requirements change too, and your new Plan will reflect that. And you'll get Refeed amounts too - as you say, the most important part of the whole deal. Do go for it, Ms J - I reckon it will be the making of you. Koh
