Hey Louise

Just what you need, a cyclone!!!!!!!!! Heavens above with the rain and the dengue fever what else can happen to you?? I hope you stocked up, just in case.

I don't think my shopping really counts as it is a "mates rates" kind of deal. But I was still pretty stoked

Glad dinner was good, and free.....even better.

One week to maintenance OMG legend .

Take care and stay dry

Jo

HI Louise,

So glad to see you only have a week to go - the refeed journey for you must have seemed very long. I think it will probably serve you well when you get to maintenance as you have had a great chance to really get to know your body and how it handles different foods.

Well between you, Yeti and Jo - I need lessons in bargain shopping! You three are bargain queens. Will have to stalk each of you.....lol.

I can feel a big party coming on in your new maintenance diary.

Keep smiling
Shanara

Hey Louise,

Thought I'd cruise by and see how you are going. All this talk about Rockmelons, watermelons and bananas, um, don't remember the taste of those. lol. They are not on my shopping list (except for the other family members). Glad to hear you are going along nicely.

Isn't that great about your Bf's son paying the bill on the sly? A lovely thing to do, and a nice gesture without a lot of fanfare from a teenager deserves a special mention!

Hope you've stocked up well hon, the cyclone could be a doozy.
Cheering you all the way to maintenance...

Smile Day 12

Day 12

Weight remains constant - just cruising. I had some corn today - very nice!

I had a big afternoon in the garden and did run out of petrol- that made a really nice change, I will be able to ramp up my physical activity again - my garden will be happy about that!

HBs, thank you for your support and cheers, Im pleased to hear that things are starting to get back on track for yourself!

JO, I think that cycone is on its way down to you now! mates rates or not, it doesnt matter, its all about the final price. I got a nice pair of pin striped trousers for work today $50, marked down to $7, by the time i got through the check out and a pair of togs fro $12 also originally $50. I had tried on the togs a couple of months ago when they were more expensive and didnt fit so well either. I feel like Ive been on refeed forever. I think I have actually roughly established my long term eating style. I dant see myself suddenly changing drastically as its kind of habit now.

Yeti, I really hope that cyclong fixxes out before it hits anyone, I wouldnt wish those winds on anyone - 280kms/hr. Nice to have the tables turned for a change with the bfs son!

Michele, sorry to mention those forbidden foods! But must say it is nice to indulge after 6months without- I never appreciated bananas before and never appreciated how filling they were!

Shanara, that maintenance is just around the corner! I think to secret to shpping success is lots of practice! MInd you this recession that we are apparently not having is sure affecting prices for the better!

Lovely to hear from all my lovely forum friends. Thank you for taking an interest in my journey! I am off to bed very soon as exhausted from all the gardening. We have been cutting up trees that were pushed over in the last lot of trees - before the next lot - lol.

Have a great day everyone and I hope the scales are kind!

Hey Louise

Yes, I noticed that you are shoving that cyclone down towards me. Thank you in advance for any rain that we may get. My problem is now that the boat leaves here next Saturday and I would really love for Hamish to have blown himself out. Sea sickness is NOT fun.

It is sad that I will miss you next week but I am sure there will be another time. Hopefully when I am all finished

Take care pretty lady and stay dry

Jo

Glad that the refeed has helped you to establish an ongoing routine!
That sounds really good and the key to staying nice and slim.
If you are going to be in and around Brisbane CBD on the 19th, I can meet up for lunch or something. I guess it all depends where you need to be. Let me know!

Keep going well, keep finding those great bargains!!

Vee

Hey Louise - refeed sounds like its going really well. Am watching your shopping news with great interest - am going to have to find out when I get to goal where you shop that you get such fabulous bargains. I, like Jo, will be needing to relearn the whole art of shopping I think. I sat in a room with about 40 other women the other day and only one of them was wearing anything I thought I'd like to wear (and that was a pin stripe grey business suit - not quite what I'll be wanting for weekends and non-work outings!!!).

Wish you well for the rest of refeed - not long now by the looks!!

Cheers - Kay.

Smile day 13 and a little navel gazing

Day 13

All is going well, I think I have basically been doing refeed in one form or another for 6 weeks, only a couple of days until I finish. I feel quite comfortable in my eating pattern. I have been basically eating this way (with more on refeed) for 8 months and I think I am in a fairly stable pattern. Now that I can have the extra fruit and bigger meals I am pretty happy. I have been within a few kgs of the same weight since last November so am feeling that I have been stable for a while.

Vee I would love to catch up, I ll send you a message a bit closer to my visit and we can organise a suitable time/place.

Kay- Katies, Target , rockmans and katies have really been the place for bargains up my way of late, just a matter of keeping your eyes open- no I dont think the suit would be the most comfy thing for weekends!

Jo may I recommend Kwell, they are great if you are prone to motion sickness - I get it at the drop of a hat, but with my kwell Im fine. I am sure we can catch up on another trip!

Well if I may do a touch of navel gazing, I must say I am feeling happy with where I am at. Getting dressed in the morning is a joy - with all the nice new clothes and new body! I think it does give you that extra confidence when you are feeling good - I dont think i lacked confidence before, back I think this is really the icing on the cake. I dont know that I would have persisted as long without the wonderful support of all the lovely folk (each and every one of you) on this forum, you has been a real godsend - from the bottom of my heart I thank you all.

so on that note I must keep doing some more presentations (never seems to end) but what can I say except God is in his kingdom and all is well in my world!!!

Louise - what a lovely post. It's wonderful to hear you so content and grateful. I think gratitude is a beautiful gift and also, now I think about it, the perfect maintenance tool.

Default Day 14- only 2 to go!

Day 14
Only 2 days to go!
The scales were up a bit this morning, but I was up and on the road at 5am so I will wait and see what they say tomorrow. I made it to Cairns again- no more rain at this stage - its all gone down south for now!

Still feeling comfortable. I think tomorrow is the day I can have a biscuit, I will have to decide what sort! Friday I will be in Maintenance land. I have a lot more energy with the extra food and look forward to getting outdoors to garden or exercise at the end of the day. Today I am exercising, going for a lovely walk up a hill through the rainforest.

Thank you for you lovely post Loulou, I think it is easy to focus on the negatives in life and forget to be thankful for all the good things and this program certainly brings a lot of good things into our lives!

Have a great day everyone and dont forget to celebrate your sucesses!

Default Rain, what rain!!?? oh THAT rain!

Ahhh Louise you spoke too soon...I am listening to the rain on the roof as I reply to your post!

I suppose with the early morning start you can expect a bit of a wobble in the scales, mine always seem to like a later start too...!

Sorry I haven't been around much...its been very hectic around here lately...outlaws visiting, *arriving tomorrow -yeeep the landlord coming on the weekend too...

Kel n I had a night out at Brother's League Club last Friday, went to see the Angels Reunited...what a blast it was! We have been together for over 10 yrs and that was the first concert we had been to together ! LMAO
Then when he went to work on the Saturday, I took the kids up to the Tablelands on a waterfall tour...lots of fun, but really tiring.

Looking forward to catching up if you have the time this visit...

Reread my plan before and discovered I am allowed both a biscuit and a glass of alcohol today!!!! 2 such big events on the same day. I went to the supermarket to get some biscuits, I had decided that I would get some arnotts scotch fingers and would you believe they didnt have any! I decided it was too big an event to compromise so I went to another supermarket and found them - now I have to go and find yet another supermarket that has the brand of yoghurt I like - I think if no 3 is unsuccessful I might have to go for an egg in the morning. I am not going to have the alcohol today, Ill save it for a day when I really feel like a drink - today is not that day!

Dedee, I did not get my walk as it started to rain and I could see the big black clouds hence why I headed to the shops! I would love to catch up, if you have time, I appreciate it might not be possible if you are caught up with the inlaws, just let me know! sounds like you are and have been busy - mind you life tends to be like that all the time I find! I hope you both enjoyed going to a concert together!

Thank you Jo - I think of you and your cruise everytime I see Hamish sitting off the coast down your way - I have my fingers crossed for you!

Perthwoman, I hope I have it sussed. What I do know it that I have to largely stay away from too many carbs as that definitely is what put the weight on for me. I will have to do the french women thing and just enjoy small quantities occasionally. One of my downfalls is nuts, I am really going to be careful there, I really have trouble stopping with just a few!

Well Im starving must go and find something to eat!! After dinner I am going to make myself a nice cup of green tea and sip it slowly and enjoy my 1 biscuit - make an occasional out of it like those french women!!!

Hi Louise Maintaince here you come by the looks of it..

Sorry I havent been popping in but I do read and get so inspired by your outlook on it all..

Mmmm 1 bikie with a cup of tea.. I would like to see that with me.. Once upon a time it would of been 1 packet easy!! Not anymore hopefully. that part is scary allowing yourself one. But like phase 1 I will haveto treat it like that I suppose.

If I had to have a chioce I would of travelled to 3 shops to find the bikkie of chioce also.

You are on a mission by the sounds of it!

Looking forward to hearing about maintaince.

I'm with Maria - a bikkie and a cuppa sounds like heaven. I kept thinking today that all I'd like was a latte, but a scotch finger to go with it would be pure decadence at present. Hope you enjoyed it once you found them - you deserve it!!

Cheers - Kay.

Maria and Kay, I am happy to report that I really enjoyed the scotch finger and tea. I made a bit of a ritual of it. I put it on a tray, I broke the biscuit in half to make it seem like more - I even smelt it, just I would with a nice wine! I had my piece of fruit afterwards as I thought if it was the last thing I had I would want more. I did think it would be better had I been able to buy just one, so I wouldnt have the rest of the packet to tempt me, Maria I understand your temptation. I even looked in a coffee shop with the thought of buying one biscuit, but they were so enormous that I gave up on that idea! Tomorrow I am allowed 2 biscuits!

I eventually gave up on the yoghurt mission, but I have decided to enjoyed a poached egg on toast for breakfast - that will be a real treat. I am going to go to a coffee shop on the marina and enjoy my egg, toast and coffee looking out at all the tourists heading off in the boats for the reef, pretend for a short while that I could even be on holidays before I have to head to work! One can dream!!

Wow Louise you look absolutely terrific. It's been a while since I last popped into your diary - what an inspiration. I think I'll have morning tea with my computer today and read some more.

Bye for now
