Hi Ruby,
If you do get pregnant I would imagine your hormones would change dramatically!
Have you asked your clinic?

Glad I motivated you ruby.
Nice compliment to end my great day!

Hi Ruby

Wow you are under some pressure to get there. I believe I read somewhere a lady had to stop because of becoming pregnant. But not sure if it would affect your refeed as your hormones have been calibrated (fixed whatever Dr C uses).

Really hoping it all goes to plan for ya. The trapize sounds like fun.

Heres to some fast drops

Katie

Hey Ruby, today's the day for the new Mango Challenge!! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Let me know if you would like the spreadsheet emailed to you to follow your progress, but if you are already d-free with no worries, then you will not need it.

Here's to a Dancing Mango on the 14th November!!

OK
I won't be able to get the computer on the 7th or the 14th... so I'll let you know on the 11th (for my banana) & then again on the 18th that I'm deserving of a dancing mango...
Ruby

P.S Just had THE worst lamb dinner.. how annoying.
Note to Ruby: DO NOT buy pre-chopped lamb at the market - unless you want to eat another old boot.

OMG, I don't have lamb on my plan...I think...it would make life easier if I did, as DH eats it for BF, Lunch and Tea!!

Lamb? Lamb? Did somebody say lamb? I DREAM about lamb. Surely t was a typo. Can't believe you are allowed to have it.

That's it, not sure I can continue to be your friend!

Hi .. well what can I say... Lamb Yes, Calamari Yes, Shellfish Yes.
Anyway, weighing in at 61.1kg today. Another 1/2 kg gone since Thurs. Yippee. Getting so close to 60 now; I can smell it!
Told you Koh - I am willing it off now !
Also, been thinking a lot about 'rushing' my way through the end stage, in order to get refeed ordered and done in time for Xmas. Had a HTH with DH, and he's suggested we wait for baby no.2's start date, until I am completely finished and everything is just DONE.
Makes me a bit nervous, as I don't really want my DD to be much closer to 3yo when no.2 arrives, but we decided I've put too much effort in thus far, to have all the hard work lost because we just couldn't wait one more month... Also, upon rechecking my 'goal' weight range, I realised that 56kg is the uPPER end, and if was to aim for the lower end, I'd be looking at getting down to 53kgs! I am happy to aim for the higher end, and then just listen to my body when I get there.
So Chailee, I'll be hanging around for a bit longer by the looks! More bananas/mangos for me then...!
xx Ruby

Back again, after just speaking with my clinic for 25 minutes on the phone... and it looks like Francesca, you were right on the money with your 'scenario C' !!
My consultant said it was absolutely fine for me to be aiming for the upper end of my weight range (i.e 56kg), and not to worry about getting down to 53kgs if I didn't want to. However, it was a little confusing, as she also said refeed may not work properly if I start too 'early' or too far away from my equilibrium. Hmmm
Another pearl of wisdom was that it is now official, I cannot get pregnant before fiishing refeed... this will totally muck everything up, so I have to get this done before we start on no.2 ! At least now I know.
Consultant helper also stated that I should have my 12 week blood test this Monday, wait another 3 weeks & jopefully drop another 3kgs (get down to 58kgs) and then order refeed. BUT the best part was, she said that my refeed program would come in to the clinic within 2-3 working days ! So I dunno why others are having to wait 2 weeks?
So, now I feel sorted... and the plan is simple: keep on losing weight, get to 58kgs, have another blood test, order refeed, go to the clinic, and voila! Start refeed and be done by Xmas day! Yippee.

Hi Ruby

Wow! Your losses have been really good - way to go!

Glad you got the blood test schedule question sorted out with your consultant - sounds like a good timetable to me! I've no science to back this up but I've always had the feeling that the more blood tests you have closer to ordering your refeed, the better! So it's good that Dr Cohen will have your 12 week test result as well as the one three weeks down the road when he designs your refeed. Well, that's just my theory anyway!

My understanding is that as long as you end up somewhere within your goal weight range (ie 56-53kg) you are in "equilibrium" so no worries about just wanting to get to the upper number.

Cross your legs Ruby. It's the best medical term available for not getting preggers!!

And, I understand the age gap. My "TwoZeds" are 3 years and 8 days apart. At times, I really wish we had of had them a bit closer...never mind, can't change that now!!

Go girl...you are doing so well.

Default End Week 12

Blood test done this morning, and just weighed in. Weight loss total may not be totally accurate, as I have had breakfast, lunch and about 2 Litres water already. Anyway...

Dear Diary,
MONDAY 3rd NOVEMBER – end of week 12

Happy Happy Joy Joy…!!!
The fight is definitely on now… with Ruby in the PINK corner, weighing in at an all time low of: 61.0 kgs!! and the ‘fight’ to get to 58kgs in 3 weeks (and therefore order reefed) now a reality, shakes nervously in the black corner!! ...15.1 kgs gone forever!
Couldn’t be happier… well that’s not necessarily true, as I haven’t quite made it down to a 16kg loss yet, in order to tick off my 4th goal by Melbourne Cup Day (missed it by 900g!), nor have I had any substantial movement on the scales since Thursday... but hey, I’ll live with it for now.

I’m still trying to mix things up a bit, following Francesca’s advice in swapping some meals around: again, not feeling hungry for the whole day, after having Meal 3 [steak] for brekky yesterday. Anyway, cm’s lost this week was small, like last week – losing 2cms this time.
Ho Hum...
Onward and downward; now on the downhill slide..

Cheers & no beers for all,
Ruby

ooops Justine,
I just realised I'm 1 kg off your pace, not 2kgs! Geeez, thought I would throw in the towel there for a minute, you looked so small in the distance running along the path to refeed land & leaving me behind...
Anyway, delerium over now, 1 kg to catch you & then 2 more to refeed town!

Thumbs down

wellllll...
we are all at home sick... and have been suffering a bit today. We are the house of viruses.
I have a throat infection, with a nice head cold. My DD has hand, foot and mouth virus (the human variety) so is covered in pus sores, and then she decided to catch a gastro bug to boot.
I took 2 days off work to REST, but have been at home sleeping and intermittently looking after sick child
No weighing going on today, really don't feel like it. But am doing really well on the plan - don't feel like eating at all, so it's easy to just do what i have to.
Willl check in later...

Oh noes, poor chook! That's terrible, both you and your daughter! I admire you for getting the food down, when I feel like that I don't want to eat at all! I hope both of you get better really soon! *hugs*

Default Lamb

Hi new_ruby

Could you check with your printed Program and your Consultant please regarding the option of Lamb.

I certainly don't have Lamb on my Program and to the best of my knowledge neither does anyone else http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6409

You may have been deviating without realising it

Thanks
Kristine
