Thanks Mette,
We're doing a bit better today... drugs do wonderous things for head colds and fevers!!
Bummer about me 'losing' my annual leave days though, in order to be at home with a sick head and a sick child! But hey, at least I'm not at work! Even better!
xxx
I really appreciate people popping in to my diary to leave words of encouragement, and to show they care. Even the Cohen experts pop in I see...

Ruby, I think you can change your annual leave into sick days. Go see your HR Manager, and it should be fine.

You seem to be losing so well - good on you for your great effort - you will well and truly have this wrapped up for Christmass by the way your traveling.

Just read a bit of your diary - its hard to keep up with every one now so i do a few different ones every few days.

Good to see you are still going down on your plan.

Lamb - I wish my plan had of had lamb in it !! ....I must have been unlucky as I only had beef on my shopping list. Hope you enjoy the lamb because its my favorite - although a bit fatty but trimmed its the best !!!

Anyway keep at it and having a win.

Andy

This is a bit funny quoting myself (?!), however, did this weighing 'trick' again today, and voila! - I was 200g lighter the second weigh in (1/2 hr after the first, with no food or liquid in between)... I am amazed. But also thrilled !!
Hence, this now means I can look towards working with my ticker again... after a not-so-good couple of days, my weight did not move at all in the right direction.

Onward and downward, and trying to hang out 'til Monday now for the next 'official' weigh in. Of course I will weigh, wait 1/2 hr, then weigh again!

Hi Andy

And apologies to Ruby for crashing her Diary, but Ruby doesn't have lamb on her program, she has explained that in the opinion of her consultant that lamb is doing her no harm!

Asy has checked with Cohens http://newyouforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6409 and NO ONE HAS LAMB ON THEIR PROGRAM

Cheers
Kristine

She is probably just pointing out that lamb is NOT on the plan in case someone new reads it and thinks that they can have lamb.
No big deal, surely?

Hi
Sorry Andy, I didn't get a chance to reply to you before someone else did it on my behalf.
Please see this message below, as posted by me in the thread titled: "Everyone's program is Different".
This was obviously an initial mistake on my behalf, and I obviously was not intentionally misleading anyone. Sorry for causing any confusion; but looks like someone else has already plainly stated my error on my behalf.
cheers (and NO LAMB for you!)
Ruby

I did query at the time why the bloods would have come back as 'all clear', but she couldn't really explain. So go figure.

Again, seems like different clinics dispense different advice. However, since having this discussion I have opted just to stick with beef & kangaroo to speed up the weight loss.

Thanks again for your interest,
Ruby

Just popping in to adjust the ticker - down to 60.7kg as of 7am today.
Still a frustrating 600gms off my "losing 16kgs" goal (and nearly a week late)... but still going strong and losing multiple 'hundreds' every day... Geez I'm glad I cut Lamb out of my diet, it must be that which is leading me to the path of the enlightened and free

Must have been " the lamb " - but none the less it is still a good result - much better than some others who are struggling a bit - but the main thing is not to give up !!!! ,,,,,or give in !!

Good to see you so near your goal.

Wow Ruby, I see you are awfully close to goal!
Way to go, gurl!!!
Hope all the colds and sickness are cleared up now so that you can power on to the end! It won't be long and you'll be looking like that initial photo that is your goal!!

Fantastic work!

Thanks Vee, much appreciated... though getting back to that initial avatar pic of me in a musk pink bikini...well....
I know I'm about 5kgs away, but the body has transmorphed somewhat since having a baby, as I'm sure those who have kids can attest to. I used to gain weight on my stomach and upper torso the most, but since DD's arrival, my body shape has also changed, and I find that I am carrying more weight around my thighs, hips and waist than before (even when I compare to when I was the same weight, these areas are larger).
My big annoyance at the moment though, is the residual cellulite on my upper arms. I wonder if others also have this issue? Despite losing 4cm from each arm, I still think they look rather large, and the cellulite deposits have not moved at all. Unlike other areas (thighs, buttocks etc) where the cellulite has pretty much gone.
I wonder if others can enlighten me (and my arms!)...? I'm wondering if I just started to do some light weights eg. bicep curls, tricep extensions, butterfly lifts etc if that may help - without going at it too hard, so as to keep the muscle building aspect minimised. Shell may be able to help, now that she is doing such a great job in the gym..?
Thanks guys, hope everyone is having anice weekend - it's a beautiful day here in Mexico (Melbourne).
xx Ruby

Hi Ruby, You have discovered my Saturday morning trick, wait a while and weigh again - I try to stay in bed as long as I can, then weigh, if I dont like the weight I either go back to bed or go and do something else for a while then come back and weigh - never fails. Though I really only have the luxury to do that one day a week as usually am up and off, but I look forward to my saturday morning sleep in and weight drop. I hope it keeps working for you!

Default end of week 13 - details to follow

no time to weigh in this morning... literally running out the door with toddler under arm at 7am, to a friend's place and then on to kinder gym...
so now we're home, and in need of refreshment

Details for end of week 13 to be posted tomorrow.

I have a feeling that the problem areas are what go last, Ruby. For you, it's your arms, for me it's my stomach. It just isn't budging. I have a feeling that by the end of it, the problem areas will be a thing of the past. I choose to believe that anyway

You're doing so well, powering along! Not long till refeed for you now!

Just a quick post.... loss of 600g for the week. So now down to 60.5kg. And a loss of another 2.5cms - mostly from chest and thighs.
Small but important losses at this end of the game...

Onward and downward.

Good work Ruby. I am going to be so jealous of you because I know that you will reach your goal, while I am bailing out.

I keep having those, maybe I shouldn't bail thoughts. Will see how I travel today. I am very addicted to the scales going down and not sure how I will feel about them going up on refeed!
