Faithy people are looking at you because you are shining, vibrant, and have an amazing aura - and look smokin hot

When I feel really tired I increase my salt intake slightly on the advise from my consultant, and I find it helps. I don't always take vitamins, but haven't noticed if they slow my loss.

Hi Faithy

I just wanted to say I (and many others I am sure) appreciate your openess in discussing your various emotions in dealing with weight issues, confidence and your feelings (happy and sad at the same time). Your diary is great reading and you are such an important contributer here on the forum. I just wanted to say thanks for sharing the ups and the downs and working through these emotions to help you find the 'real you'

hi Faithy,

ditto to Hexi's comments.

about the vitamins - i've been taking them every day since forever - so i can't comment on if they slowed my weightloss or not.
what i'm wondering is, perhaps because they are being introduced into your system as a new thing they might change the fluid balance initially, therefore appearing to slow your weightloss.

would you consider trialling them for a month and see how that compares with an ordinary month?
(don't know that a week's trial would be enough as we already have such fluctuations during the weeks in a month)

i'm sure others on the Forum will have answers to this question.

cheers, cait.

Hi Faithy,

Just catching up with how you're doing and find it has be a bit of a tumultuous week. I am so sorry to hear about your friend and hope you find comfort now that she is at peace.

As far as being noticed goes it is all a learning curve. Once upon a time you would have been mortified to know that both men and women looked at you because maybe like me you had asked 'Why are they looking at me? Is it because I'm fat? Do I have something down my shirt? Am I trailing loo paper?'. Well you get the picture.

Now you are getting noticed for all the usual reasons not unlike you look at people in the street for whatever reason. Sometimes I find myself absorbed in trying to work out who this person is or reminds me of and I have to bring myself back to reality because I'm staring. I'm sure some looks are more sinister but on the whole most are for the right reasons.

I had to drop something off the other day on our way out and my Mr parked on the opposite side of the street, we have rear in parking, and I hurried across the crossing. When I got back to the car Mr said 'You have every reason to be proud of what you have achieved.' See even he looks. Got to love it.

Take care and enjoy life rather than look for at the bad bits. You are still evolving and will eventually find where you're comfortable. Until then savour every minute.

Melissa

Hi Faithy girl - they are checking you out because you are just shining now - you would be giving out those invisible happy pheromones that make you even more attractive (is that even possible!! )

Sorry...don't know about the vitamin question as I've been taking them since day 1. Perhaps you are just at your slow down point in your month and its just a coincidence that its the time you took your vitamins....who knows.

Give yourself a big hug and your man from me and I've sent you some happy hormones to keep you on target.

Irene

Hey Beautiful Ladies!!! Thank you for the constant support & advice. I just LOVE it!!!

I'm going to take myself off to this really good health food store with the list my consultant gave me of the to have & not to have so that should help.

It's been a really draining week. My friend's funeral was today & tonight I'm feeling incredibly tired & drained. (But happy )...
I've been waking up during the night nearly every single night this week & haven't been able to go back to sleep.

Today at the funeral there were so many people. Possibly 400. (she was a much loved lady).. A lot of those people I have none from my past, like 8 or more years ago. Most of them I haven't seen in all that time.. some I've seen maybe a year ago.. 90% of them didn't have a clue who I was till I told them my name. It was such a powerful feeling.. especially when this one woman, who for whatever reason decided she didn't like me, just looked at me without so much as mini expression on her face & says "I know who you are".. I just laughed. I actually walked away feeling incredibly confident & I honestly didn't care. Now that's a first for me.
Most people just looked at me & said "wow, you look amazing".. Some even called me by my sister's name & nearly died when I corrected them.

Through the help of my awesome hubby, a dear friend of mine & you guys .. I am slowly changing to be the confident woman I've always wanted to be.

I'm a totally honest, caring, decent woman who would never cause harm to anyone (not deliberately).. I am healthy & I am incredibly happy & in love with the most decent, caring man ever.. I have everything to be confident about & nothing to be ashamed of.

Thanks guys for always reading about me & my life.

Hi faith i am new to this forum n i have to say you are a total insperation to me. I only hope that i will end up with the vibrant outlook on life that you have... Im truelly sorry about your friend.. My deapest simpathy to all. I to know what it is like to loose someone truelly close, at 29 i burried my loving husband, not at all easy but with 4 children under 6 at the time all i could do is draw strength from this tragedy and be the best person i could possibly be to those of us he left behind.... It will take time but time really does heal old wounds..

You have the beauty the spirit and the love from your husband to get you to goal by your birthday NO WORRIES... I have faith in you.

Kind Regards Sha22y

Hi Faith,

I'm so pleased that such a sad day could at least provide something positive for you.

But then, was it a sad day? Often we think that funeral's are sad - but I've attended some where it was purely a celebration of a well-lived life - a little bit sad, yes, (especially for immediate families) but with a huge dollop of gratefulness for having known the person, and appreciation for what they gave to this world. I hope this was so for this special lady (who had SO many people turn up to bid her farewell).

Whatever the answer re the above, it is GOOD to see you back here - may tomorrow hold more good than sad thoughts for you,

Koh

Hi Faithy, Glad you got some positives from a sad day. Your friends must have been well loved to have such a huge turnout to pay their respects. Your diary is nothing short of inspiring and you are one hot chickie babe my dear! As for the lady who said "I know who you are" with no expression on her face when no one else was recognising you - she was jealous - plain and simple! And your response to laugh was awesome - well done! Isn't Cohen's great - the more we lose our flab and inhibitions the more confidence we gain - and you can stand proud Faithy - you "sexy thang!"

Hi Faithy,

I loved your comment about the lady that was not that into you and how you just walked away without a care in the world. We should only care about what
people think when we have the highest respect for those people and most of all we should care about what we ourselves think.

I have been taking vitamins since day one and take more than they allow - vitamins and minerals plus 3 fish oil and 3 evening primrose oil. I am not sure if it has an impact only
loss but i would be nervous to stop them. It will be interesting to see if your loss slows long term or just initially.

Good luck sweety.
Cheers
Daisy.

Thanks Daisy

Does it matter what fish oil tablets you take? I guess it wouldn't really would it??!!

Thanks guys so much.. it did feel good to be able to walk away like I did... and the best part is I'm still smiling about it now..

I was told today by a dear friend of mine that al those people who didn't recognise me that day went on about it for ages.. they're all still in shock.
I bumped in to my old bestie today & she said to me she recognised my hubby but it took her a while to realise that it was me with him... THAT flt so good. She is amazed at how far I've come & that I'm still going.

Today, also, I had a lot of people come up to me saying I was looking really good & surely I was near goal. I just smiled & said yes, I'm nearly there. That's ALL I care to share .. It's funny because these are those same people that gave me such a hard time 50 kilos ago & since then.

In fact my head really may swell to majestic proportions today as I had SOOO many compliments & what I put it down to honestly is that I am glowing with self confidence & happiness.

I tired on my wedding dress today from when I was 18.. FAR OUT man it fitted :P..

Yet that OLD part of me still struggles to accept the fact that I am no longer that obese person. It could be a negative feeling to some, but for me I turn it to a positive because it means I won't take my new body for granted... EVER!!!

Koh

It was a little bit of a sad day. Generally it was indeed a celebration of her life with so many beautiful family photos shared.. her daughter sang too.. it was beautiful.
The saddest time came when this video the family had made up.. had the tittle "The Love Affair" & they had pictures of her & her hubby... they were SOO in love & the tears I cried were for him. He's lost his partner, the love of his life.. & they were together for about 30 years or so.. & still madly in love. During her battle with cancer he said quite often that her strength just made him fall in love with her all over again.

It was a beautiful day & not one person had a bad word to say about it.

Hi Faith,

I'm sitting here a bit stunned - I love your words, and am so pleased that this woman's life was CELEBRATED at her funeral. And yet, your words have brought home the pain that those close to her are feeling. Hmm, but I guess it doesn't get much better than that eh? When someone dies, someone else loses - it is a sobering thought (yet, respectful too). It sounds like it was a worthy celebration of a well-loved person.

Thank you for sharing this,

Hugs,

Koh

Faithy - You have no idea of who you really are and how much of an impact you are already having on all of us and everyone in your world! You are touching and blessing people everywhere, across the board, you are an inspiration and i feel humble in your presence. You have already achieved soo much and as for my pretty mediocre efforts i'd say, and i've even been tempted with a few wines! This week will be my Faithy week! If you can do it (and you SO can! ) so can i! Thats my motivation you gorgeous thing you!

Then you say :

In fact my head really may swell to majestic proportions today as I had SOOO many compliments & what I put it down to honestly is that I am glowing with self confidence & happiness. What else can you expect? You must get used to it, you are almost like a celebrity now, you have done what very many other people only dream about AND you are also lucky enough to be naturally gorgeous! Faithy you and what you have achieved, you can make a difference and empower a lot of other unhappy "fat" people to believe in themselves once again and dare to dream! Wow!

Faithy I'm glad your friend had a wonderful send-off. And that you are still doing well emotionally. I too unfortunately farwelled a wonderful few friends over the last few months. It made reflect back and gave me a better understanding of the life I want to make for myself. Life is short. And I want to enjoy mine.

You are sounding so focused and the end is in sight
