Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Louise x 2, Vee, honeybuns. wooohoooo and all that dancing Loving it

Louise, I was shell shocked when she mentioned the R word. I know I complain about it feeling like forever on this diet. But then the next day it only feels like minutes. My consultant said after next BT, which is in 3 weeks they shall talk more seriously about ordering it. I guess there is the possibility I will be needing it over xmas/jan break and not be able to get it then. But either way.....it's very close and Im scared LOL. Just by seeing your ticker you aren't very far away yourself from ordering it. I was always under the impression 2kgs away from goal weight is the best time. So looks like you will be requesting it shortly YAY exciting but scarey isn't it. I'll be reading your Refeed diary avidly. Asking all sorts of nasty questions hehehe.

Vee, ty ty ty. hehehe. It did really boost my mojo on Saturday morn. Was floating on clouds all day. Hang on I'm rowing back to PI and getting you off that place. That's no party place there with or without cabana boys.

HB, ty. Yes it is exciting but also scarey. So far I have had the safety net of the rules to keep me in check, and going it alone. Well that scares the daylights out of me. But reading loads of Refeed and maintenance diaries has given me an insight into what goes on that mystical land of maintenance. But the way you are going it won't be long and you too will be discussing Refeed with your consultant too.

Well today heralded a jump to 70.0 (sigh back to 70's again). I'm not in the least bit surprised because I have been going hammer and tongs or should I say screwdrivers and chisels at removing my whole kitchen. And IM TIRED lol. I guess my body wasn't used to all that heavy lifting, shifting and swearing . But it's done now. Now all I have to do is survive the new one being put in this week. If anyone is interested I have uploaded a couple of b4 shots (where I have already started cleanout). The sparky was kind enough to remove that damn big old heavy stove for me with my son's help. And on a Saturday I bet I pay big time for that. Kids are worried about what they will eat for the next week, I just told them, anything that can be cooked in the microwave. They weren't impressed.

The last one is my makeshift kitchen (if I can stay 100% with this kitchen I can do it anytime ) lol

Here's hoping everyone is doing their cohen's jigs.

Happy losing

Katie

PS No more cravings BTW. It worked and no stopping me now!

Phew, I got tired just hearing about all the heavy work getting that kitchen out!
It will be so exciting getting your new one!
I bet having the makeshift one for a week will be more than compensated for once you get that lovely, shiny new kitchen!
Hope it all goes nice and smoothly!
Can't believe how close you are to goal, Kate! Awesome work!
A bit of rest and you will be back into the 60s, no worries!!
Giving you a friendly shove back down!!

Vee

Its amazing how little we really need to get by, often having to make do is a good reminder. I hope they get your new one in quickly, always exciting to have a dit of a renovation. I bet the weight change is just a momentary blip that will be gone in no time!

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Vee, Mette, Louise, Karen and Tara. I always feel so much better when I log in here and read some diaries and see the reply posts You are all such special people.

Vee, was tiring doing the kitchen. Now I'm watching how it all goes in. Going in smoothly so far, took 3 trips but the sparkies finally sorted out my electric problems. I'm sure they have my number on block now. Hahaha

Mette, wooohhoooo another party. I'm there with bells on. That 60's in an elusive number. I keep jumping up then down never passing my lowest which is on my ticker. I wouldn't mind sleeping past 4.30am to get some decent sleep. Oh well that will come.

Louise, it sure is to do renos (but stressing also). Should be completely done by 4 weeks Trademen in the Hill are just impossible to get. On a brighter note, my kids are really enjoying the BBQ. Great that it has warmed up enough.

Karen, ty. It has really transformed my kitchen (been waiting for it for nearly 9 years). I really hope all is going well with you. Haven't seen you around for awhile.

Tara, ty also. Not sure about the skinny bit yet. I think my fat goggles keep coming back. I make myself wear tight clothes to encourage myself to keep going to the end. Really hoping all went well today with you and ya dad.

Well I have proven the theory STRESS stuffs up the weight loss. I am sooo over these past few weeks. And still more to come. YIKES. Will I ever reach that elusive goal weight.

Took 3 trips but the sparkies finally sorted out my problems. App I had 2 problems on the go at the same time. YAY I can finally have a hot shower as well run the fridge and freezer, being that it is in the 30's it isn't a good time for the power to be playing up.

My weight isn't dropping at all lately. I'm not all that surprised since I have been a bit stressed lately. Have been really emotional too. But it will all settle down. It has too. I am sooo over this year LOL. Bring on NY's eve.

I have been doing a little experiment and am pretty sure that the yoghurt is triggering my sugar cravings. On the days I'm not eating it, I don't get any cravings at all. But when I do, wham, guaranteed I'm lusting after anything sugary. Food for thought for maintenance. Even though I am using the right one (it's not as nice as Yoplait or Vaalia ) it still happens.

Also have been having loads of dizzy spells. Use to only happen at work, but now it doesn't matter when, where or what I am doing. I get them. Have experimented with water, drinking more and less, and no change. So I took an extra vitamin at lunch (they are supposed to be 1 a day type) and that has helped a lot. Fingers crossed I just need 2 a day.

From reading a lot of refeed symptoms I could have been mistaken that I am getting ready for it. Backache, dizzy, slow losses, hunger, etc etc. But with my flabby tummy, no way am I ready. I'm going all the way to bikini land, or at least feel comfy in bathers =)

After all that, phew, what a mouthful. Have been 100% since last weeks little dev and feeling good.

Hoping everyone's scales are kinder than mine

Katie

Hi Katie, I hope those tradesmen get their act together and get your kitchen in ASAP, I bet you cant wait- on those makeover shows on tv they seem to manage to do them in a matter of hours! I hope you can relax a bit so that you can see the weight coming down . Im like you determined to stick to this to the bitter end (or rather the sweet end)

Hey Katie,
Sounds like things have been a bit stressful for you lately! I live with my brother who has just bought this house we are in and we are thinking of starting renovations on the kitchen and lounge downstairs but there is so much to do we don't exactly know where to start!!
The losses will keep coming, you've proven that...I'm sure when you are a bit more relaxed you'll cruise down to refeed.
Just a thought about the yoghurt...I have been avoiding it too because I noticed it gave me cravings and I nearly always ate more than I should've - eggs seem to work for me so i stick to them in the mornings now.
Take Care,
Em x

'ello sweetheart! Sounds like our bodies are in sync. I've had slow losses, dizzy spells and back aches too. I have a feeling it's because of the stress more than anything else. Much rest needed! But we will get there in the end. Soon things will settle down, and our bodies can find their equilibrium. At least your kitchen is sorted and your sparky problem too! Take care, pretty lady, sending you lots of fat-melting hugs!

Hey there Katie!

Well done on getting through all the reno probs. Yep, sounds like you are experiencing all the ill effects of stress. It is weird how it affects different people in different ways. Sounds like it would be good if you can find ways to minimise it (the stress)! Not always an easy task!
Interesting about the yoghurt triggering sugar cravings. Perhaps it's because it is related to milk, and I've heard that milk is a big culprit for that. Good that you have figured it out so that you can avoid it from now on. You want to make life as easy as possible for yourself!

Big hugz to melt the stress away and the fat too!!

Vee

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Louise, Em, Mette and Vee

Louise, I do too. They are doing their best, cupboards are in, plumbing done today, hopefully sparkies can fit me in today, if not, won't be till monday. I'm just waiting on the gas cooktop. App it had to come from America If I knew that, I would have ordered one from Australia. I thought I had, since I went to the local elec store.

Em, Renos are exciting, esp when done LOL. Make sure ya have a backup plan when doing the kitchen. Good luck with them. But once you start ya can't stop hehehe

Mette, woohoo NORMAL BMI you go girl Ty for the hugs, Hugs right back at ya. Yep I'm feeling much better, it's all coming tog now.

Vee, Big hugs right back at ya. Hoping you are moving down too. I had read that too somewhere, so that is why I did the experiment. And it happens to me too. Luckily I like black tea. Tho really sorry to lose the yoghurt

Well woooooooooohhoooooooo, I have movement a whole huge 100gms hehehe. I don't care, at least it's on the way again. I reckon now that the elec and the kitchen is nearing completion I should be off again. Hopefully like a rocket. But time will tell. Funnily enough, the movements on the scale don't obsess me like they use to. But probably will now since I'm nearing my goal.

I went to bed, believing tonite's the night, I can feel a loss happening. And voila there goes 100gm. Ok now I'm going to think 900gm tonite hehehe

Really worried about my friend that is doing Cohens. She is deviating badly. It all started when she went away for the weekend, and now it is almost daily. She calls me a cohens robot, because I really try not to dev. I try and try to explain to her, that it is sooo important to stay on track, that that little nibble here, few drinks there, etc etc is going to hurt. She has come so far and seems to be throwing it all away. I just don't think she is in the zone. Any suggestions to wake her up. I know if this is what she wants, this is what she will do. I even sent her link after link of this website and she's not interested.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Happy losing

Katie

I'm afraid there is no wake up call that will get through to your friend, Katie. It's her choice. She's not doing Cohens, she's just limiting her intake of food. It's a shame, but there is no way of forcing people to realise that they're hurting themselves. Personally, I just never had it in me to waste 750$ and that has kept me on the straight and narrow. The only thing you can do is keep on keeping on. You know what's right for you, and you're doing so well!

Hee hee, you reminded me that I didn't update my ticker last week! I'm not as far behind as it was saying

*Nudges your scales* hope you get your 900grams tonight!
Have a great weekend, pretty lady!

Hi Katie, I hope they got their act together and finished your kitchen today!! Im sure your friend is actually disappointed with herself as she would not be losing as fast as she would like, but ultimately you cant do it for her, its up to her, just make sure your a shining example and you might bet her thinking

Hi Katie,

Wow, reno's can be "fun" eh? (Is that the right word? ) Still you seem to be handling it really well, so go you !!

Quote:
Yep I'm feeling much better, it's all coming tog now.
Ahh, that is SO GOOD to hear, as that will mean stress is dropping off - and guess what will accompany that?

Re your friend, I reckon it depends whether she EVER got "in the zone". If she didn't, then "she doesn't know what she's missing!" - but if she DID, then maybe she can be "turned around". As the others say, it is her call - you can point her in the right direction, but she needs to choose to walk that way

You're sounding great, Katie,

Hugs,

Koh

Oh Katie,

I am so sorry - somehow I have missed popping into your diary - forgive me please.

Wow katie - you are just powering on - so great.

You will be in refeed before you know it. Glad the kitchen is almost ready. In a little while the kitchen shall seem like part of the furniture - new kitchen for new body ....lolololol

Your friend sounds like she is just not in the zone - sometimes its hard to know how to support someone in that - glad it hasn't let you get out of the zone. Isn't it funny how people can project their stuff onto others - Cohens robot indeed - sounds llike envy to me.

Thanks for your support in my diary.
Keep up the great work
Blessings
Shanara
