Up 200 gms this morning. I haven't been for a walk for days and I think that helps. Weather has been too hot and today it's raining. Yesterday DH went to 'high tea' and left me alone and I admit to sneaking a couple of jam shortbread biscuits. Back on track today.

Same weight as yesterday. I still haven't been for a walk. Today is looking good. I did realise that the blouse I'm wearing is a size 14, only one size above my aim of size 12. It's a bit snug, tight round the arms, but given that I started in size 18-20 a definite achievement.

Thanks for visiting Jessy.

Hi AJ

I'm just checking in to see how you're doing. Well done on fitting into the size 14 blouse!! That's a significant cm loss from size 18-20! I hope you managed your walk today - it certainly seems to help with your weight loss and of course it's good to keep moving

Have a great weekend

Louise

Thanks for checking Louise. I did walk yesterday but it didn't help with moving grams. Also, I slept in this morning which usually does help simply because I get up to go to the toilet a few times before I finally weigh. Anyway, no change this morning. DH took me for another walk, a shorter one today. He worries about me when I sleep in and keeps checking to see if I'm getting up yet, which doesn't help with the sleeping. I think he's concerned that he might have to call an ambulance.
It's a beautiful day here today. I'm looking out at numbers of little boats on the bay fishing.
I hope everyone is able to take advantage of the lovely weather and enjoy the weekend while sticking to their diet.

Yesterday was pizza day, and we followed the pizza with strawberries and ice cream. There may be a good reason why those foods are not on the list of allowed Cohen foods. This week I have to remove 800 gms or so before visitors for pizza next Sunday.

A good loss this morning. New fat is much easier to move. We walked yesterday too, which always seems to help. I'm not keen to walk today as it's raining.

A milestone reached. 11 kgs gone this morning. It's taken me two months to lose this last kilo. Of course, Christmas didn't help, nor do the weekly pizza days with visitors. They have shown me it's possible to lead the good life and maintain my weight. I've still got a way to go before I can prove this.

Yay for reaching 11kg gone! I think it's great that you can have the good life without letting your eating get out of control. It's also a good example of how to live well in maintenance Well done AJ!

Oops, didn't read the scales correctly yesterday. Still not 11 kgs gone, but only a couple of hundred grams away from it. DH is resurfacing the kitchen floor and the paint was wet yesterday lunch time so we went out for lunch. I had chicken and prosciutto salad with a glass of wine so didn't do too much damage. BIL has invited himself and partner here for pizza dinner tonight so that's not going to help. As long as I am slowly losing weight I think all of this extra eating is good practice for maintenance.

Still around the same weight. Pizza with BIL didn't help, nor did the chocolate ice cream they brought for dessert. Yesterday I was craving something sweet and raided the freezer for ice cream. I seldom have cravings like that fortunately. I'm definitely a sweet tooth and starting to find the restrictions of this diet a bit limiting.

I've had two good days of losses, despite making panna cotta for visitors tomorrow (it's delicious). I'm back at my low point, down 11 kgs. DH has insisted on taking me for a walk each morning, which has probably helped, despite that it exhausts me and I need to rest during the afternoon. I still can't see that I look slimmer but there's no doubt that my clothes no longer stretch over me to the same extent.

Aaah! You're definitely making this work for you - living the life you want while eating sensibly and continuing to lose weight, albeit slower than your first time round It's not a race to get to goal and what you're doing certainly sounds sustainable!

Go AJ!! You're doing a great job.

Thanks Louise. I'm gradually working off the extra grams I added last weekend. DH went to see a neighbour yesterday evening and invited her to come round for pizza next Sunday, so more off diet eating. DH and I have our birthdays on the same day and this year we are 80 and 70 respectively so we are inviting people to come and have a drink with us, and have organised a caterer for some finger food. DH has been making and freezing pizzas and calzone. He's keen to show off his pizza oven.

Hi AJ!
Ive been offline for the last couple of weeks, so Im just getting caught up on diaries.
Your recent trip looks amazing! So impressed you got on a camel! Thats been a dream/nightmare for me. Ive always wanted to ride on one, but would have recurrent dreams that the camel's knees would buckle at my weight. lol. I might just put that on my "reward" list for when I get back down to my goal weight.
Great job at maintaining and losing at the same time. Nearly 11kg is a major achievement!
Cheers, MM

Well, big rise yesterday morning after entertaining with pizza on Sunday, one kilo off my low point. 600 grams gone again this morning. When I get to goal maintenance should be easy.

That camel ride is quite a while ago now MM. Camels are very strong, so if you ever get the chance be sure to take it. I was no light weight and it had others to carry as well, and gave e no indication that the load was too heavy.

Amen to that thought, AJ - 'cos really, isn't that what you are doing right now? Maintaining your way back to health?

Plan is one of the tools of Maintenance and you have been using your Plan, even as you go on living, eating out, and just going about things sensibly. Life is important too, and friends, and enjoyment.

So too is good health. If you can combine both of them at once, that sounds pretty cool to me!!

I was out to lunch again yesterday, crumbed cutlets with peas and mash and a glass of wine. No change in weight this morning.

Pizza day yesterday so up a kilo today. It will be gone again in a few days if I don't have any other non-Cohen meals. My system at the moment is to eat diet meals normally, and to enjoy any non-Cohen meals that are available to me. I'm a bit surprised at how quickly I lose any extra weight that goes on. I didn't have any opportunity to eat either chocolate or hot cross buns, both of which I love, over Easter. DH does our grocery shopping and he doesn't buy either of those.
