Re: Deelight Diary
You don't have to start the refeed straight away if you don't want to but at least you will have it there the day you wake up and feel like you could eat the head off a horse!! Have you read this post from Asy: http://newyouforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=227067&postcount=11 Gives you the 2 out of 3 things to tell you that you are ready for refeed. Have a read of it and nude up in front of the mirror if necessary!! Hang in there..... be strong..... sleep as much as you can cos when you are asleep you aren't hungry AND Mr HGH will be doing his thing. I bet I will be the one posting the same stuff in a few weeks time so feel free to quote it back at me!! jlou P.S. You are spacing your crackers and fruit in between meals aren't you, not having them with meals? So you never have to go longer than 2.5 hours without food? Just checking |

Re: Deelight Diary
Hi Narelle
I really feel for you over this. I know how much you have invested in doing your absolute best on the program and that you had the goal on your ticker in sight the whole time. I think I would be reluctant to call the clinic too, wanting to go into refeed at the predetermined goal weight. But: I think Koh and Jlou have a point, and maybe just knowing the emergency backup of refeed is there will help you to either steel it out or make an informed decision about whether you should move on to the next stage. Also, I've noticed that it is quite common for people to lose a bit more on refeed. At any rate, you should call your clinic, as Jlou said, they must hear this quite often and maybe an extra piece of fruit a day will do the trick and bump your metabolism up a notch into the last weightloss phase. I can't honestly say I would want to go to refeed 'early' either, especially as I set my goal at the top of the range too, so I do feel sorry you for you over this. However, one of the cardinal rules of successful goal setting is flexibility, so maybe we both have to be prepared to bend a little with respect to our final refeed weights. I am concerned too that you don't feel well. Please be careful dear, and look out for yourself and listen to your body. At any rate, please ring the clinic for advice. Your friend Am |

Re: Deelight Diary
Aw thanks Koh. Yes, I will probably call them Tuesday. Wont get a chance Monday so a few more days to possibly sort me out. Just signed for the mango challenge so I am committed to d/free leading into refeed. So not prepared to jeapodise my success.
Jlou Code:
You are spacing your crackers and fruit in between meals aren't you, not having them with meals? So you never have to go longer than 2.5 hours without food? Oh dear - so wish I was closer. I wonder if it is a sabotage happening where because you are close your mind plays tricks on you and actually I am not even hungry - just pretending...... agggg

Re: Deelight Diary
Yep - I have definitely read that back pain is a sign.
Call the clinic Monday - Tuesday if you have to wait until then and speak with Larysa or Sue. Also - check out how much Hexi has lost in refeed - she is now BELOW goal weight..... you might need some extra food for a kick start |

Re: Deelight Diary
Hi Dee,
I just realised I forget one of the Goddess's first "beat the hunger" moves, and that is to invoke the "meal mix-up" (might apply to you too, Gug ) Go for MORE at breakfast and lunch - so, like Meal2 for breaky, Meal 3 for lunch, and Meal 1 for dinner. Gets you through the day with a lot more sustenance and less hunger, and, with a smaller meal at night, the HGH can get working earlier in the night, yeah? A win/win/win.... as you don't feel hungry when sleeping Re the "back Pain", many mention it - but I think I recall Asy says it is not one of the refeed signs. Still, with a lighter body, changes in posture, I wouldn't be surprised if it is simply a result of that - and can happen in later days even if not close to refeed. Koh

Re: Deelight Diary
Thanks all for dropping in and your lovely encouragement. Has been NO FUN in this space with the hungries.
Became all consuming and extremely frustrating as I don’t feel I am ready for refeed and don’t want to start sooner than I should. Mind you, I spoke to the clinic and already they have sent through refeed!!! Annoyed me cause I wanted it to be up to date for when I do start. Maybe it is the same for everyone. Who knows? I am not starting yet!! Suzieblues clinic told her to up her vitamins – another lot at lunch. Also to have the higher portion of protein from each meal group. I am doing that and switching meals around as well as changing some of my choices. I was having a lot of beef so I now have beef once every two or three days. I am not nearly as ravenous as I was so hopefully I can drop that extra little bit. I seem to have bought myself some time. Least now I can think straight again. Awful place and not one that I have experienced at all with my Cohen journey, so I guess that also was a bit of a shock to my system. I am hoping to hang out for another 2 maybe 3 kg which still means a few weeks. By end of June I will be in refeed land. Yay..... Narelle

Re: Deelight Diary
Oh Sweet Narelle, I read your post last night and I've been thinking about you all day, hoping you are not too hungry! It has helped me keep distracted from all that I've been doing.. though a little bit of retail therapy (hmm as if i needed anymore) has also helped me immensely!
Sending you quick loss vibes so you can get on and start that refeed! xoxo

Re: Deelight Diary
Hey Narelle
the clinic wouldn't have ordered refeed if it was going to expire so you will be fine. Did you get a chance to callyour usual consultant about the crackers ans fruit to clarify? We have the same consultant and she told me we can dothe crackers and fruits and not upset refeed - but you need to check the exact amounts you can have because it depends on how many are in your plan. Worth a call to check and get through those hungries! |

Re: Deelight Diary
Start date: 04/02/10 -17WEEKS ! !
Start Weight: 86.7kg Todays Weight: 65kg exactly exactly 4 kg to go. YIPPEE ! ! ! 21.7kg shattered !!!So with all the dramas and my body acting up over the last week I have implemented some changes. Firstly: added a second lot of vitamins at lunch time. Then changed my meal choices around. Had been doing the meal mix up for awhile but now including more of the cottage cheese, fish per Mum Chums experience. Based on results: 1 kg this week - I am preetty happy with that. I am still getting the hungries but no where near the knawing hunger I was experiencing thankfully. Weird. So off shopping today. Can hardly bear wrapping the size 14 pants around me much more. They are so baggy and look ridiculous - So tried on the size 12's and alas they are miles too lose. No way - size 10 in pants! You would have to be kidding me Well they look terrific, fit perfectly and look so good. I still cant believe it. I even tried a few different brands to make sure it wasnt just wrong sizing with one brand. " WOW " all I can say is " Wow" I am still coming to terms with it. Went back and bought the gorgeous jacket in size 10 I tried on the other day as well as another size 10 business jacket. Yes, I will take photos at some stage. I think when I actually put them up of me and compare I wont be able to believe the difference either. I see it in everyone else so well. Refeed approaching - news from the clinic today. Dr Cohen NO LONGER allows a cracker or fruit top up to tie you over. It is stay compliant to your prescription is the instruction. Also your refeed is applicable for up to 8 weeks so mine would not have changed even with another blood test due in 3 weeks. So stop stressing was my instruction and get on with the job of melting off the unneeded fat. Right - got it. So now - onwards and upwards happily I will go and drop down the last few kg into refeed land. As I have it so early I will probably know it off by heart by the time I am actually using it. Oh well - looks exciting. Nights everyone - off to find my possum gloves. LOL Narelle
