Ha Ha - I actually get that now too. My Mum is gorgeous and I wouldnt mind in the least if when I am 80 + I look like her, dress like her and have the same attitude. She is the best!

I'm actually ok if Mum Chum looks more like me but she is a GRANDMA - LOL to nearly 3 little uns and I am not, so shall not accept her being younger. LOL

Must be time I joined this conversation - I'm sure I will be looking the youngest - even if I am a grandma.
Thats what keeps me young lol. (And probably partly why I was inspired to do Cohens - if I got down on the floor, I was scared I wouldn't be able to get up. Now I regularly pop down & crawl around). It really is awesome how much better I feel

Actually, I was tempted to say I really am famous, but trying not to tell anyone - lol.

FYM. I just had a look at your photos and while I recognize the first one I want to know who's pic you are trying to flog off on us as being you! That person looks a good 10 years younger than you! If it weren't for the gentleman beside you I wouldn't know it was you!

Good job! You are looking great!

LOL, thanks!

Although I think today I must be looking more like my mum than my younger sister as a woman in IKEA asked if my son was my son or my grandson. I suppose I should be glad he's 3 and not 17!

Weigh day again:

Week 1: 5.1kg, 8cm gone
Week 2: 1.7kg, 4cm
Week 3: 1.6kg, 8cm
Week 4: 1.2kg,8cm
Week 5: 1.5kg, 3cm
Week 6: 1.2kg, 3cm
Week 7: 1.4kg, 0cm
Week 8: 1.4kg, 7cm
Week 9: 1.3kg, given up measuring as I'm so crap at it. Clothes sizes are getting smaller, that'll do me!
Week 10: 1.2kg,
Week 11: 1.2 kg
Week 12: 1.4kg
Week 13: 1.2kg
Week 14: 0.5kg
Week 15: 1.2kg
Week 16: 1.7kg
Week 17: 1.4kg
Total: 26.2kg

All good except that me and my son have a really heavy cold so I only had about 3 hours sleep last night and feel like crap. My husband arrives back from the UK in a few hours so I have to try to stop him getting it as he's a bit run down and gets floored by stuff like this.

Just had a call from my parents' mobile. They hardly ever use it so I thought there was some crisis (various medical things going on). I'd sent some pictures, including the group shot on my album, and my dad was just calling to tell me how great I look.

I said "I'll look even slimmer when you see me, as I'll be 1.5 stones lighter than that picture" and he said "Don't overdo it, you don't want to get too thin." And this is the man who's been nagging me for years to lose weight and who's made some incredibly tactless comments over the years.

You gotta larf!

Just took my son to the doc as his cold/flu isn't going. We haven't been for a while and when we walked in the two receptionists' jaws just literally dropped open. Very funny.

Nice girls, and obviously struggling with their weight too. They asked all about Cohens but at $1450 a shot I think they'd struggle to afford this in Singapore.

Slow this week, but the last two weeks were good so can't complain.

Lots of compliments again this week and also realised that, for the first time in about 20 years, I am substantially lighter than my husband.

Maybe he needs to go on a diet..........

Just finished a clothes sort. I had 5 bags of stuff that I'd worn last time I lost weight, bought to encourage me to lose more, and bought as the weight went back on to encourage me to lose it (if only I'd known about Cohens).

Well I've finally got to the end of them. Interestingly about 90% of the stuff I'd bought I'll never wear because it doesn't suit me - I think last time I was so excited about being able to buy normal sizes that I didn't really think about things looking good - I still felt fat. Now I feel slim and want to look good.

And the pair of black jeans that I used to struggle to get into while laying on the bed now fit (slightly big actually), but don't look good. Straight into the ebay bag unworn......

Went for a blood test this week (week 16, will explain later) and HAD to pop into M+S to try on clothes. I've been trying stuff on in Singapore and then buying it online in a size 12 to be delivered to my Mum in the UK (much cheaper). Tried on some black bootleg jeans in a size 16 but were too big, so tried on and bought them in a size 14 and they fit and look pretty good (wearing them now). This is the fist time in at least 15 years (probably longer) that I've worn proper jeans and I feel damned good.

I wish now I'd taken SMS's advice and taken some nude photos at the start, but I was worried about them flashing up randomly as a screen saver! I keep looking now at my tummy, love handles and muffiin top and thinking that they're changing shape but I've no point of reference. My husband is the only other person who sees me in the buff but because he sees me regularly there are no big changes for him to see either.

Realised this week that I no longer look totally hideous in a swimming costume. I tried going swimming without a fat covering/sun blocking tee shirt on top, but my son kept pulling the front and "flashing" me, so maybe I should continue.

Had a girls' night out on Monday. We went to a wine shop which didn't sell sparkling water, so I drank tap water all night while they ate and drank. Still, I got to dress up and show off my new red bag and shoes, and it was cheap, LOL.

I'm going back to the UK in 2 weeks for 4 weeks and should hopefully hit re-feed while I'm there. After lots of discussion with my consultant we decided to delay the week 16 blood test until week 18, order re-feed based on that, and take it with me. She said it's OK to use for 6-8 weeks after so timing should work.

I'm starting to feel a bit more humgry now, but no arm eating, have had a bit of back ache (and a migraine), and I'm not waking early but I'm having trouble getting to sleep, but I'm way off re-feed yet.

And increasing "Surely you've no more to lose comments". Well yeah, I'm not even in the OK weight range yet. However it must be 20+ yeears since I've been this close to it. Cool!

Mumandnana: thanks.

DP: Keep plugging away and you'll get there and look lovely on your wedding day.

Future Yummy Mummy - firstly : your post made me smile re being substantially smaller than your husband now. Likewise, mine needs to lose to be in healthy range, could not see himself surviving on what I survive on so now has taken up a strict exercise program and I hear him belting out on that twice daily.

secondly: interesting how ppl make comment about "Surely you've no more to lose comments". yet, we are not even healthy BMI or normal weight range yet. Never fails to make me smile within..

Would you like to join the 10kg or less to go thread. It is in the comps section via the home page. Added support, kick butt whatever is needed and only for those who are closing in on their goal weight.
You are doing great but there are a no of us who will be going through refeed at very similar times and then on to maintenance so if you would like to join in. Come along, all you need to do is say your interested and Ladybird (our champion leader) I am sure will welcome you with open arms. Your call. Have a super weekend Narelle

Ooh UK shipping trip for you!!! Yay!!! Will you be staying with your Mum? Will make refeed easier if you are than in a hotel!

(For any Aussies reading, a UK size 12 is an Australian size 10 so sounds like FYM has been stocking up on clothes for goal weight! Regardless of what some Internet sites tell you about it being something else, the conversion here is correct. Promise!)

Too busy (getting ready for UK trip) to update last week, so belatedly here it is (I did weight, just didn't post):

Weigh day again:

Week 1: 5.1kg, 8cm gone
Week 2: 1.7kg, 4cm
Week 3: 1.6kg, 8cm
Week 4: 1.2kg,8cm
Week 5: 1.5kg, 3cm
Week 6: 1.2kg, 3cm
Week 7: 1.4kg, 0cm
Week 8: 1.4kg, 7cm
Week 9: 1.3kg, given up measuring as I'm so crap at it. Clothes sizes are getting smaller, that'll do me!
Week 10: 1.2kg,
Week 11: 1.2 kg
Week 12: 1.4kg
Week 13: 1.2kg
Week 14: 0.5kg
Week 15: 1.2kg
Week 16: 1.7kg
Week 17: 1.4kg
Week 18: 0.8kg
Week 19: 1.2kg
Week 20: 0.5kg
Total: 28.7 kg

So exactly 10kg to go as of last week, I think this week will be better. Definitely feel like I'm "integrating" though.

Getting loads of bargains on ebay!

Remembered to post this week. Better than last week but not great. I blame it on my son coming into bed with me every night then keeping me awake. Still, worth it for the cuddles.......

At work today even though it's a public holiday, but then off for 6 weeks so can't really complain.

Going back to the UK on Sunday for 4 weeks with a side trip to Germany. Lots of stunned faces I imagine. Bizarrely I am stressing about what to wear on the plane so that I can look wonderful when my parents see me. I mean, huh?
