Katie 20kgs is fantastic. I carried a 20kg pack on my back when I did my recent hike and believe me I was glad it was on my back and not my body, especially as I hiked up the sides of mountains! I think that people who have not experienced dieting and the triumphs of weight loss are not supportive intentionally, its just that they dont realise what a triumph it is. I think its one of those things you really have to experience to understand, that is why this forum is so great!

Keep up the great work and Im happy to dance and party with you

Hi all

Thx for dropping by Louise and Kazza

Louise, I hear you about carrying around the extra weight. And to think we did it day in and day out. No wonder the old knees and ankles were cracking. I now watch overweight people walk and they all seem to have this shuffling lope that I must of had. If only I could scream out Cohen's to them and not look crazy

Kazza, Ty for the congrats. I think I'm behind you but just a good pee away. You must be jumping from the rafters also. Exciting times lay ahead.

Well what a day. I jumped on my computer to finish up my very last FINAL assignment, which was already half way thru (6hrs and 10pgs of typing) and guess what. It was gone. Not one sign of it anywhere. I bawled and got mad and bawled again My poor son had to console me. Love him to bits. So I spent a lot of time in here today instead of doing my work. And it has to be handed in tomorrow. Sigh. Is there some way that a mod can ban me so I get over my anxiety and just git it done. Koh HINT HINT!!! hehehe

The clinic left me a message on my mobile and suggested I order refeed Friday week. OMG that's exciting but scarey. I won't start it until my body signals it is ready. Hopefully I can last until I get back from Adelaide, sometime mid Jan. It's now all a waiting game. Wait and see. How exciting.

Hoping everyone has had a better day than me.

Katie

Gee, what bad luck in losing your assignment! I hope you managed to get it all completed in time.
Wow, refeed getting ordered... very exciting and I'm sure you will be ready for it probably before mid Jan! At least it's being ordered for you and you know it is there if you need it!

You are doing so great, Katie!!

Keep it up!

Vee

Hi all

Thx for dropping by Vee

Vee, it was only halfway done. I didn't take my usual precautions of emailing to myself. Lesson learnt the hard way. NVM it is now over. I got up early and completed what I had done from last night. So it is now completely over. And I emailed to myself How do you explain to the lecturer that the computer ate my assignment not once but twice. lol

Good news everyone. I have ordered my refeed. they won't actually order it until Friday week. But sometime in the next fortnight I shall have it in my hot little hands YAY, but it's scarey too. Had a good talk with the clinic, and with my avg loss of 1kg a week, I will be ready in Jan. OMG how soon has that been.

We even discussed xmas . She advised that I could eat what I wanted Cohen's wise, but stay off the bad foods. Then all I had to be was a good girl for a week before starting refeed. Advised to have a Dev really threw me. But it being soooo close to the finish, I don't think so. Already had my plan of attack ready for that day. Chose a few things I would want to eat, and freeze them. That way I feel like I'm getting what I want, without actualy eating them.

Have a great fat busting day.

Katie

PS still sitting pretty on 65.5, fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I had to giggle when I read this... I had a quater of a brownie, half a dreamy donut and an anzac biscuit in my freezer for a while there. It was so much easier to resist at the time knowing I could have them later (ended up giving them to my husband anyway because I decided I didn't need them)

How exciting for you ordering refeed - not long to go now at all!! Christmas season always goes so quickly too, you'll be at through refeed and on maintenance in no time

Hey Katie,

Wow, so close to the end for you! Yes, I will be missing out on a couple of Chrissy celebrations and am planning to put some goodies in the freezer so I don't feel I'm missing out. Whatever makes us feel better hey?

You'll be there in no time, take it easy.

Suzie

Hi Katie,

As long as you don't count on mid Jan - 'cos I reckon you are selling yourself short !! I believe it has been even quicker than you think !!!

Katie, you are doing better than that !!! Thus, you could be ready for refeed ahead of mid-Jan - just allow for it, eh?

Mathematically speaking, you've been doing this for not quite 21 weeks (yes?) and have lost 30Kgs.... Allow another 4 weeks for that "first month double drop" and we could say you've lost 30Kgs in 25 weeks - so, allow 1.2 Kg per week, or 5Kg per month, and see where that takes you.

To me, it says you could be "ready" around New Year.

As long as you ALLOW that this could happen (and even earlier, depending on YOU) you'll be fine. However it works out, stay flexible and happy (I'm sure you will - you seem to have that attribute )

Koh

PS Good luck for tomorrow - maybe refeed can start on Boxing Day

Doncha just love technology katie? grrrrr

At least you got it done, in time and all over with,....that must be such a relief!

How exciting for you to be so close to refeed, with both you and Louise going through refeed close together, I will be watching avidly (and a little jealously too I might add! hehehe not really but kinda...you know what I mean?)

Have a wonderful weekend Katie!

Hi Folks

Thanks for dropping by Ellabelle, Suzie and Koh

Ellabelle, hehehe seems like I'm not the only one squirreling away. Glad to see it's a normal behaviour and not me being finicky. You are so close, must be getting exciting for ya

Suzie, another squirreler. Dr Cohen needs to change the name of this diet to Squirrel race. Wow you are soooo close. How's it feel to be there. I'm still a few weeks behind you.

Koh, oh wise one Hail oh king koh. You are right on the button with your calcs. Amazes me the knowledge you have stored away. Hope you haven't forgotten how red leather is made I didnt' want to get cut short over that time so I insisted it be here before xmas. Must have known it could be quicker than I thought.

Well that's week 21 done and dusted. And oh boy what a week. Only registering 2 drops all week, and loads of shrinking wowee. This diet never quits to amaze me. So this week with a healthy drop of 1.2kg bringing me in at a sweet 65 with a total shrinkage of 2.75" (approx 7cm) I'm overwhelmed how it is still happening at this late stage. I haven't had a shrinkage like that since week 11 according to my records.

Ooops DD, I just found your post. Sooo sorry. I didn't have a mother's look. Ty for dropping by, and I hate technology. But only when things go wrong. Otherwise it's my best friend. I have a sneaking suspicion Louise will be going through just that little bit sooner than me, but I get to follow her trail blaze. I know what you mean about jealousy hehe all that extra food and no room to fit it in and omg bickies and wine, how do they ever cope I'm actually looking forward to having a banana and maybe some pineapple. Bring on the bad fruit I say. LOL

Everyone have a great fat busting weekend

Katie

Those are fab stats for the week, Katie!! A good loss in kgs and cms!
So exciting! And having ordered refeed too! Woooooooohooooooooo!
You must be very excited!
Interesting what your consultant said to you about Christmas and what to do. I haven't heard back from my consultant, so will try ringing them. Christmas time is getting so close now!
Anyway, have a great rest of your weekend and keep dropping that fat to goal!!

Hi Katie

A big HURRAH for those awesome cm losses this week!

I think my losses did speed up a bit as I approached the end. I also entered a bizarre loss pattern where my weight would hold remarkably stable for a week to 10 days and then suddenly the next week, I'd lose lots of weight.

I guess the good doctor just wants to keep things exciting for us!

You're doing really well. Koh is right - it really won't be long now! I try not to overthink the timelines too much, but at the same time, it's nice to know you're not far from that pot of gold!

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Kazza, Vee, and Francesca

Kazza, awww ty. You are right. Both give me a thrill even after 5months

Vee, wooohooo I just seen your ticker, you are single digits, and a 60's girl. Way to go, and just a whisker away from Normal BMI. Going over to your diary next for the big party that must be happening

Francesca, I'm trying not to worry bout timelines etc. The losses happen when I don't worry about it.

Ok just a quick log to say I have finally posted my 30kg record pics. Technically they are 31kgs as my son took them today.

Hoping all is having a great weekend.

Katie

Yep, party in my diary, and party in your pic diary!!! Looking super fab!!!

Interesting what Francesca wrote about her loss patterns towards the end, as that is exactly what has been happening to me, and I still have a ways to go!!

Keep up the losses right to the end!!

Hi all

Thanks for dropping by Vee

Vee, I agree about the crazy way we lose weight at the end. I'm seeing a difference in my tummy area now. I think I'm tending to do a lot of shrinking right now. I may only register 1 or 2 drops a week now. But they are big drops.

It's kind of a sad but happy day for me today. Today is my very last EEN day. I will get my life back, and no more study, but just coming together weekly with like minded people was fun. So I shall miss that social interaction. And my study group. We had a lot of fun studying and not studying ie movies etc. hehehe.

My weight is again hovering above the 65 at 65.3kg. But a BM today (finally) will hopefully get things moving.

I uploaded a pic of the girls as they are a wonderful pair of women. Oh and of the wonderful lecturer who carried us through thick and thin. I just love this lady.

We had a terribly naughty morning tea. Lamingtons, chicken wings, cakes, rum balls etc etc. But I sat there and ate my apple. Was a good girl. I provided the paperplates and cups so wasn't much temptation to dig into those kept me on the straight and narrow.

Hubby's due today yaaaaaaaayy!!! but he's bringing back the baby rebel. sigh. Only here for a few days then gone again. So that's something to be happy about (his coming not leaving)

Ok everyone take care, have a great fat busting day.

Congratulations on your last day!! Good girl chosing the apple over the other snacks... it's not easy, especially when everything is spread out in front of you like that.

YEY that Hubby is coming back - hope you enjoy the few days you have

Congrats on finishing up the EEN stuff. While you may miss the group, I'm sure you won't miss the study!/work!! LOL

Yipee that hubby is coming home again, and I bet you are just as pleased about the baby rebel! Hope you have a great time together over the next few days!

Keep up the great work on the shrinking front!
