Thanks everyone for popping in.
I am off to my clinic appointment very soon - to collect my refeed program!
Weight this morning down 200g - so now sitting pretty at 56.5 kgs.

Is it my imagination, or is this getting easy now ??!!! <joking>
anyway, my clinic asked me for some 'start of refeed' photos, so I snapped a couple this morning... just loading them now.
Have a great day everyone.
Ruby

Smile This is a LONG post - proceed with caution !!

Well, I have news... I am now officially through Day 1 of Refeed....!!!
After my appointment this morning, it all looked so logical, that I decided to start immediately! And so I am really writing in the wrong space now I guess. Anyway, I am wanting to revisit (for myself) where I started the journey, and why I wanted so desperately to get through it. And of course, for it to work!
I posted my 'mantra' a couple of times, to help with motivation... and then stuck it all over the walls of my home (ala Chailee style)! This helped too!
So I want to go back (not in terms of where I was physically), but on a psychological level... so much has now changed for me, and more importantly, in me! I now believe IN ME, and that is a feeling I want to preserve.
So, looking back at the mantra, did I succeed in ticking off all my hopes/goals/aspirations...? Well, let's see...

1. I have paid for a program, so I need to make it worthwhile

2. I want to lose 20 kg in 18 weeks, so I NEED to stick to it to do this

3. I want to be able to conceive safely in December, so I NEED to be at my goal weight by the start of December, in order to finish the re-feeding program by Christmas

4. It makes me feel better – no bloating, no lethargy, no stomach pain, no gas, lots more energy, better night sleeps, less mood swings

5. I WANT to be able to wear a nice dress at Christmas & New Year

6. I WANT to feel sexy again

7. I WANT to feel like I have succeeded at finishing this !!

8. Because it is IMPORTANT

9. Because no food or drink is AS IMPORTANT as the end goal

10. Because I WANT TO DO IT FOR ME
I guess I can safely answer YES to all but one of these statements... (still working on #3). So even more reason to celebrate by raising my cup of peppermint tea to myself, and saying, "well done girl... you're nearly there".
Well really, I feel as though I am already 'there', coz right now, Refeed feels like the prize!
Am still deciding whether or not I'll start a Refeed diary on the Forum... will see how I feel after a couple of days. But, this has been great.
Thank you especially to Chailee (TwoZeds), Justine, Francesca and other long lost buddies, Kate (Enough!), Felicity (Cocopop) and Cindy (CNM?) for sharing in my journey. And of course others who have stopped by with interest and provided support to me in my endeavour.
I'll be back to sniff around and see how you're all getting on, but I guess it's time to sadly wave goodbye, and leave my diary here...
[and say Hello to Refeed land]
Bye now,
XOXO

Hi Ruby

WOW! Congratulations on making it to refeed!

I love your last post - what an awesome way to end your diary!

I saw your photos posted in the photos section and you look amazing!

I haven't followed your whole journey, but I feel kinda sad that you are leaving the diaries! however, you have managed to complete your mantra list with style and you are happy, healthy, super slim and on your way to completing no.3 !

Well done girl and I sincerely hope you get to complete your no.3 super soon and that you will have a spring baby in 09!

Congratulations Ruby!

May your refeed and maintenance be trouble free and as easy as possible!

You have done amazingly well, and I am sure you will be hearing the patter of little feet again very soon!

Thank you for sharing your journey with those of us still struggling along the path. I know your struggles have helped lots of other people as well as me, it was very generous of you to include us in your Cohen's family.

Best wishes

Fab work, Ruby to be able to cross all but one of your goals off your list. I'm sure it won't be too long before you will be crossing that last one off too, and sure your other half doesn't mind helping you with that one!!

Enjoy the refeed prize! and attaining maintenance status!

Default Diary re-instatement please?

hi Asy/ Shell / admin people etc...!!!
Can I pls have my dairy re-instated to the diaries section...?
I am about to embark on this for the second time in a short period of time. Not proud of myself; in fact quite the opposite.
So ashamed and annoyed, and feeling very stupid. However, the desire is there, so am thinking that it would be more stupid to NOT do this again. And then do it once and for all.

Welcome back Ruby!!!

And dont be ashamed by any means at a small increase in weight!!! You did so well with sticking totally to the plan last time (I am a lurker)

Many people here had a glitch over Chrissy and New Year and I think the important thing is that you are back in control and the weight will go really quickly!!!! It is great that we have a tool that we know works quickly and in a healthy way and our bodies seem to like it!!!

Look foward to hearing about your speedy losses

Chantel x

Hi New Ruby

I too have to start all over again. I never finished refeed and had a lot of fun during the holiday season, but like yourself I am determined once again to trim. I will keep in touch, maybe we can do this together!

Take care Helena
