Your diary is my most fun read of all! You always manage to make me laugh and think that this Cohens diet is actually a whole lot of fun. And it is fun when we get to buy and flaunt new clothes.

What you say about limiting the artificial sweetners is very very true. There are countless articles about the role of aspartame in particular interfereing with the natural insulin release process in our bodies - I know all that but that is the one thing I REALLY find difficult - to live without my Coke Zero. It was one of the reasons I knew I could do this diet - because I could have that. (that and the no excercise thing!). But as the days go on, Im drinking less and less of it and am hoping to cure myself of my dependence on it. (I was drinking 2 litres of Coke Zero pre-cohens, now down to 1 or 2 glasses a day). I will be really interested to hear your "mini-trial" results and will join you on that. See whether I lose more on days I can manage to cut it out altogether.

Wow tomorrow is our regional show and my goal for the last 20 years has been to wear jeans - and this year I am!!!!

Lunch and snacks are all packed so I can keep away from the dagwood dogs (next year!!) and I am booked to go on some rides (no weight limit worries this year!!) with my niece and nephew and just hang out with a whole heap of people who I haven't seen for ages - can't wait for their reactions!!

So I will update on exploits from the K-Town Show tomorrow!!! Take care everyone...

Glad your having a great time shopping, its really great to be able to try anything!!! Its not to hard to get used to shopping is it??? When are you coming to Darwin for catchup??

Well where to start - wore my jeans, went into the jeans people to look at some more and the woman says - oh you do need new jeans! Thankyou very much - these are only a few weeks old - well good for you, you look great but you could look better - here try these on and come out and show me when you are in them - oh and they will be snug but pull them on anyway (for real 7/8 jeans - i think you are on drugs)!!! Did I really enter the twilight zone?? Is this woman pushy? Does she even work here or is she a random stranger? So I slipped behind the little curtain (little curtain) and pulled on the jeans - while she stood on the other side of the curtain talking - blah blah blah - need to go at least a size down in these, they do stretch, but you know that you own a pair!!! So out I come to a full length mirror and jeans that fit - snugly but I know they stretch because I own a pair!!!!!! 7/8 JEANS HOW COULD I SAY NO - so I bought two pairs!!!!! And thought gee that woman knows her stuff!!!

And we bought hats - now I just need dresses to go with them, and shoes and bags, but who can pass up a red race day hat? Or a silver one, or a gorgeous brown one???

Well I had a lot of comments, and apparently I was the topic of the dinner the night before- which is funny - and cute and mildly embarrassing. I hung out with my dad for the first hour and then caught up with my brothers family and did the yellow brick road - I love that- designed to take you all over the show and see everything - and the only give away that I could eat was the apples and oranges - so I spent the course swapping my other treats for apples and oranges!

So long term (20 years) goal beaten - jeans to the K-Town Show - The rides with the niece (do they have to spin so fast, whats the point?) were sickening but the weight restriction - way under, catching up with people I haven't seen for ages - priceless.

I am off again this morning and taking the SO back with me......he worked yesterday and dropped in at the Show only briefly for a walk through and a dagwood dog! So off to make lunch and get the snacks together.

Go the jeans at the show got to love it... always love new jeans - especially the smaller they get

And a huge cheer for the rides - I have such a fear of going near rides as always scared will be told to fat to get on... will be awesome to not have that problem.

So by the time I had lunch and snacks together and the SO organised we didn't end up going! I have had a sore throat for a couple of days but yesterday it got me and I spent the day in bed, on the recliner, in the hammock - doing nothing but snoozing! And today looks pretty much the same........ will catch up with more diaries soon!

OMG - I have to stop shopping! But the shirt-dress that was hanging in Rockmans was like a siren call........................ and now it's mine.................. with the comic book shoes should look a treat!!!!

But interestingly enough although I know I have gotten smaller the image in my head has a little way to catch up sometimes, but never fear the SO had an interesting idea! More an accident - but I will let him take the credit.

He stood in front of me and we looked in the mirror - and I no longer stick out around the edges of him! Proof positive I call it! So give it a try and see how you go - except for you Andrea - you have the doorframe!!!
