findingmeagain says it all...
CONGRATULATIONS ON 28CM DOWN AND GONE FOREVER!!! That is brilliant work! A absolutely admire your strength to wait the 4 weeks to weigh in, it is great that your focus is on how your feeling and the cm's your loosing, rather than the numbers on the scales. It will be such an exciting day when you do weigh in, I can't wait to check in to see your ticker go DOWN!!! I'm can't even weight 7 days before needing to check my progress. But, you never know, your ability to wait might just rub off!!!! All the best for the week ahead FMA, keep up the great work! LJ |

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
Actually I do!! I just feel better in general really. It is easy in a way no diet has ever been. I find I forget I am even doing anything special and just prepare my meals on auto-pilot now. Which makes it so much easier too.

FMA
You have reached the point where food is your FUEL - not your happiness, entertainment, reason for social occasions etc. I know you are waiting for 4 weeks to weigh in (stronger person than me!) but why don't you add your CM losses to your ticker? Then we all see how well you are doing and every time you make a post YOU are reminded of how much you have lost! |

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
I I have no clue how to add it to my ticker, so added it to my sig instead.
One thing I am struggling with...maybe thats the wrong word...one thing that weirds me out/makes me think...is the habits we form. I stop to get fuel and somewhere from the dark, evil depths of my mind is this impulse to buy a bag of chips or a chocolate. Late sunday arvo and I drop into the shops to buy some cabbage and once again from the dark, evil depths of my mind comes an impulse to grab some junk to have while watching a movie that night. At none of these moments am I hungry, do I honestly even desire these evil things that made me fat to start with!! It is my evil, messed up sub-conscience that makes me THINK I need them. I am learning to reset these impulses, but I get the feeling it will take a while. Do I replace them with new habits?? Maybe buying a bottle of water...or taking an apple to eat when I get fuel. Or do I have to get into the habit of just filling up the car and driving away. I don't want these things and am not hungry at all...it's really just the battle in my head that I need to overcome!!

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
I have discovered how much of a difference measuring in the morning compared to measuring in the evening makes! My first two measurments were taken first thing in the morning. Then yesterday I forgot and did it in the evening. I was a bit disappointed to have only lost 4cm. So I tried again this morning just 12hrs later and had lost a further 9cm from around the waist/hips. Gotta love that afternoon bloating!!

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
I have a holiday booked to bali on the 6th October for 8 nights. I won't be at goal by then but I really hope (fingers, toes, legs, arms and eyes crossed) that I can be an 80's girl by then...even if it's 89.9! But my main worry is doing Bali deviation free!!
You can take crispbreads over so I plan to take my whole allowance. We are staying in a private villa that has a supermarket just a short distance up the road so I plan to stash my small scales in my carry-on luggage and buy some eggs/mushrooms/onion for breakfast. I am just worried about the other 2 meals a day. It's very hot over there and I am not sure how I would carry my lunch with me when we plan to spend every day out shopping or sight seeing. Maybe I could take one of those small icepack thingies (so technical)...can I take that through customs? I am not sure if I can eat salad without getting Bali Belly?? Does anyone know how all that works? I don't really have to eat cold veggies out on the run. I have also heard that as far as fruit goes you have to peel everything. Is that true? Surely you can eat apples with the skin on?? And I know here we can request special meals if we go out...but how do you trust that you get what you ask for when there is a language barrier? I am sure they probably don't even really have scales in most resturants. I don't want to deviate and slow my loss...but I do want to have a little fun and maybe eat out for dinner now and then too. So hard to know what to do isn't it! My consultant said you only live once and go off for the holiday...but I am so affriad to get out of the zone and take the risk that I will never get back on the bus. How hard will it be to do it deviation free in a third world country??? Something to worry about for the next 4 months!!! hehehehehehe

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
make sure you catch bali belli and it will all even out
but seriously folks- even if you cant get the weights right, you should have a handle on how big something looks- grilled/steamed fish with asian vegies is a good choice ( just make sure you add the condiments and not them) for chilling- take some clip lock bags and a small cooler bag. your hotel will have ice- put this in the clip lock bags , i find a couple of bags will easily last till after lunch. tins of tuna, tomato and, capsicum, cucumber - all easy to carry and estimate ( if you do a test lunch before you go , you will know the amounts) cheers mark

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
Perhaps rather than salad you would be better to get some stir fried veges. Once things are cooked they are usually ok, The reason for peeling the fruit is to remove the remants of any contaminated water they may have been washed with, so a peeled apple would be fine. When I went there I drank bottle water and just had all my foods cooked and I never had a problem. You would not be able to take any fresh food to bali, but tinned food would probably be ok. Good luck with your plans

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
hehe!
Completely agree. I know my 'wonderful' stretch marks tell a story of my journey blah blah blah but even at goal (if/when i get there) I think tankini is the best I could hope for |

Re: findingmeagain says it all...
At least you have kids to use as an excuse - I got my first hip stretch marks at the age of 12 and the lower stomach ones followed when I was about 17 - no kids, no real journey or story to tell - just that I was fat and lazy lol I'm rather confident now, other than showing off my legs - NO WAY - so when I reach goal, I dont care about my stretch marks or if I have loose skin. I will be wearing a bikini proudly and dont care what any one thinks Hell after living as a fat chick for my whole life and then completing Cohens I think I'll deserve to feel confident showing a little (a lot) more off at the pool or beach. My ultimate goal - be able to wear a "Bride" bikini on my honeymoon. CANT WAIT. World watch out

I bet you will look fantastic in that bride bikini...can't wait to see your honeymoon pics!!!
