Default Day 3

Starting weight: 65.1
Today's weight: 64.4
Difference: -700gms

I'm so happy the scales have moved DOWN today! Looks like everyone was right and I needed my refeed! Well done everyone! I think the fact that I also drank 4 litres of water helped a great deal!

Yesterday I stayed on the same old protein increase and old veg increase, and was also allowed a good fruit. Mette, you are right, the pineapple was divine!! So lovely and sweet!

Yesterday the extras were nice but already not enough. I was feeling hungry, mostly in the afternoon and evening. I had my meal 2 and meal 3 for breakfast and lunch and had yoghurt and mango for my dinner. I do have to say, the 1 slice of bread making my chicken salad sandwhich with 1/2 my mayo allowance was terribly yummo! I've used the Burgen Soy and Linseed bread, and I've had no "side effects" from having the bread.

Today I get to increase my old protein a bit more, stay with the veg allowance, the slice of bread and the good fruit.

I've found it easier to add the extra protein into just one meal, and the extra veg into just one meal as well. Haven't yet done it in the same meal.

I do, however, still get the worst hormonal headaches with TOM and today have a real douzie! Woke up with it and it is not a pleasant experience. I've swallowed the ibuprofen but no effect as yet (an hour later) so may have to take some more soon.

Shanara, I had some blueberries on my first day, and they were divine too! First time I've really had them and I'm sure not the last!

Kay, thanks so much. I have to say I'm very happy with my changed personal appearance thanks to Cohens, but even more so, I'm so happy with my changed mental attitude and the tools to keep healthy AND look good! It's all waiting for you too!

Thanks Louise, it has helped me to feel better already! It has also helped to start shifting some weight again, like it did for you! Sorry to hear that your refeed is not going so well with your travelling/job! I hope you get to do it without too much trouble!

Vee

Hey Vee

On refeed when it says bread, does it have to be bread bread?? or can it be flat bread or wraps?? I can live without bread but would love a torilla.

I hope your head is feeling better today, headaches suck. TOM sucks and I get headaches that drugs simply don't fix too. Try Panadeine Extra they seem to work when nothing else does.

I think your body is loving refeed, keep up the awesome work Vee.

Cheers

Jo

Thanks Katrin and Jo.

Jo, it says bread - sliced (not health bread), nothing about wraps etc But it does give you a choice of white, wholemeal, etc. The tortilla will have to wait until you are finished!

Hey Vee - congrats on the downwards movement - excellent and interested hearing about what you are and aren't getting on refeed (haven't read a lot of refeed diaries just yet). Agree with your comments re the head stuff and can't wait to also see how my brain changes through this, not just my body.

Cheers - Kay.

Hi Vee, Looks like day 1 worked a treat for you. I am excited about getting mine just to see how long it is and what and when I get to add new stuff.

I'd say we'll be in hanging out together in here soon enough!!!

For my bread today, I decided to try the Woolies bread, just to see if I'm sensitive to the preservatives. Well, it's been 4 hours now, and feel fine, no bloating or anything horrible. So looks like I'm fine. Shall see if the scales think so as well tomorrow.

Thanks for the visits Jo, Drexyl, Connie, Kay, Kezza and Jenny!
Awesome stuff Jenny, we need more people in the refeed section! It certainly sounds like you are ready for it!

Default Day 4

Starting weight: 65.1
Today's weight: 65.0
Difference: -100gm

Got on the scales and I was up 600gms this morning. So it looks like while I may not have felt any after effects of the Woolies bread, my body certainly did and is retaining fluid.

Today I get to add more of the old veg and old protein, but in slightly larger quantities, also add a good fruit and a slice of bread. I might go back to the Burgen bread today to see if it makes any difference, otherwise stick to CBs for the rest.

It feels now like the food is more satisfying in quantity amounts. I'm beginning to wonder how I'm going to be able to eat the amounts coming up in the rest of the days!!

At least I don't feel like I need to raid each and every takeaway place I see, so the food seems to be emotionally satisfying me as well.

Thanks for dropping by Penny, Shanara, Mette, Louise and Hexi! As always, lovely to see you and thanks so much for all your support!

Vee

Hey Vee

I am seeing a pattern here, Woolies bread is the work of the devil. I will have to keep this little fact in mind when I start. I am still bummed about the tortillas .

Sounds like refeed is really just what you needed Vee, keep up the awesome work.

Cheers

Jo

The increase in the quantities do a lot for us both physically and mentally. It's funny, actually, I always thought that I would be eating this that and the other when I was done with the program, but mostly I've stuck to the refeed guidelines with a few additions (love red capsicum!)

I think you're making a wise decision in leaving the Woolies bread alone. Seems many of us have problems with it. I hope the Burgen works out better for you!

Stay strong and keep smiling!
