Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
I have no idea how much weight I will gain since I'm travelling and have no access to scales but I know I will pay for it dearly. Oh well, back to day one. |

*hugs*
Deviating in an "out of control" way feels super terrible BUT there's no point beating yourself up about it. What's done is done and you can now only control what you do next. Onwards and upwards (or downwards in terms of the scales ) |

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
Thanks so much, Cazpaz! Well, I finally got on a scale and whew, at least it didnt go up. It's the same weight as
the day I left town. Weight loss might be stagnant but I will take that, rather than weight gain any day! Onwards and upwards! |

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
Hey Reenna!
Great that the scales didn't go up, but as you said, they may stay stagnant for a bit. What I think matters, is being able to learn from the experience. I mean, you felt pretty sh!t after, huh?! That out of control feeling, the regret... It aint fun!! Next time you're faced with something similar, try and remember how crap it feels! And perhaps next time, save yourself a cracker serving or something to be able to help you out... Or some diet coke etc.

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
I've been a member of this forum for a couple of years now, and this is my first post.
This is also my second attempt at Cohens. I deviated a few days ago, however, it differs from what I've mostly read in this thread in that it was planned and controlled. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. A very good friend of mine left town so we planned to have breakfast. She knew about Cohens and I had the intention of taking my breakfast with me, however, my partner and I spoke about it and he thought I should have breakfast from the menu. I thought about it constantly for a week. It consumed me. I was wanting to binge on hash browns and sausage, hollandaise, bacon etc etc. Flat whites, cappucinos etc etc. In the end, I decided to have breakfast from the menu but within the Cohen's guidelines: sort of. I had a poached egg, sauteed spinach, mushrooms and a side of smoked salmon. I didn't finish the salmon. I couldn't eat all of the mushrooms. I didn't obsess over the meal and I didn't make a fuss afterward. I simply enjoyed the food. I have been back on for a couple of days without deviation. In actual fact, I was happy to have my Cohens chicken stir fry lunch with crackers and an apple I haven't put on any weight. As contrary to the program as this sounds, by allowing myself to deviate I was able to afford myself some mental relief from the constant struggle of deviating. Having said this, I won't be deviating again. |

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
Sorry all but I am not that bad. Don't have the desire to eat a bag of lollies of bikkies being a guy.
So I guess: estimating grams whilst eating out and being pretty sure it was over. It is so hard to get a small steak like 130g. But when not on Cohens, getting BBQ ribs , dripping in sauce and saying, it is ok because stye are meat.... in sugar. Probably my worst weakness is cake with coffee. the whole social aspect i love. Even now, so hard to have coffee with a small cake/slice/croissant but i don't. Peter |

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
hi everyone, I have been on the programme for 5 weeks now. and I have been deviated quite few times
first time was in the weekend of my very first week, I think I drunk too much water and I had a packet of pickles...I just want something salty. second time was at my work, they were having a shared lunch and BBQ. we all take our lunch breaks at different time, when i was in the lunch room there werent anyone in there. I had a whole table to yummy food in front of me. I ate few cocktail sausages, and few pieces of salmon on mini pancake, and two pieces of chocolate..... third time was also at my work, and it happend 2 days ago morning tea provided by the company. I was in the lunch room by myself. I ate 3 mini pies, chicken and cranberry (my favt) x2, and bacon and egg..... everytime after I deviated, I feel realllllly guilty. after my first 4 week's blood test result come back. it shows I have been deviated, but my husband showing GREEN PLUS..so he was 100% deviation free. I have been kicking myself about this, I felt shame about it. but sometimes it is just so hard to say no to all yummy food. what should I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????? I have also have a trip coming up at beginning of next month, I am going back to Auckland to see all my friends, they dont know I am currently on Cohen. and I use to be a foody. they have planed big parties for me, dinner resverations.... |

Re: Your worst deviation - come on, fess up??
hi guys, I am almost 3 month on the plan, I was doing really well until recently I start craving for chocolate, so I bought myself some those almond chocolate, and ever since I been buying them twice a week. it has been three weeks now I have been deviating. on the other hand my husband is doing really well, he hasnt been deviated at all in 3 month. the weather in New Zealand is getting cooler and we dont drink as much water as we used too compare to summer. I got told drinking warm water is better in cooler weather, but we purchase bottled water, and it is just a hassle to heat them up
my husband has been lossing appox 2kg a week, but I am only lossing 800gram a week as I deviated. we are going for a blood test this Saturday and I am already know my blood test will show a big deviation sign....... I keep telling myself I have to stop buying chocolate.....but it is so hard |
