hey snugglebear, what an interesting journey every day. You get new stuffs every couple of days...I could think the excitement and thrill of finding out the next day if weight has gone up must have kept you pretty much on your feet! Wow, so exciting to have bread ... carbo again! I can just imagine myself shying away from it especially I have not taken it for close to 2.5 months. Keep it up gal, I'm pretty sure your weight is not final...you'll go down some more

Hey Jo!
Try not to let all the extra foods and amounts etc stess you!
Koh is right of course, now that you can mix proteins, you do not have to stick to the 5 hour rule anymore!
I initially split the extras we add in between my two main meals eg extra protein with meal 2 and extra veg with meal 3 with sometimes even adding some to meal 1 as we don't get very big meal 1s.

It's all about trial and error. The only thing you can't do is have the veg and protein as a snack, it actually has to be added to a meal.

Hope you get your new flash phone! Sounds great!

Vee

Hi Jo,

All seriousness aside:-
I'm almost CERTAIN we are X-rated - now what - Hhmmm?

Hehe - I just lurve having fun !! Or is that "making fun"?

Hey, Jo, seriously, I hope you had a really good day today. And thanks for the big kiss. G-rated or not, it felt good....

Just "lightening your load" in some way can often help so much. Maybe now refeed won't seem such a chore - and that has to be good eh?

Hugs,

Koh

Greetings

Day 9 refeed

And yet again weighed in at 64.6kg

I was certain I was going to weigh in heavy today after all the food I ate yesterday. But nope didn't. I didn't eat any of my bread yesterday, only managed 2 crackers. But rest assured I was eating all day. In fact I had some really sweet watermelon for dessert last night, yummmmmo!

Today I get 3 slices of bread (heavy sigh). I have already planned for a nice chicken salad sandwich for lunch, so that's 2 gone. I had my Meal 3 plus almost all the extras for brekkie, OMG huge. 2 pieces of steak plus veges, plus an old fruit, bulging belly. But at least this way I can eat light for the rest of the day. I had the next 2 days all sorted out, and then I changed it all. I believe a woman is entitled to change her mind. LOL.

Vee - I have been splitting all the extras but I was still trying to work to the time rules, things were getting stressful, but now the rules are off things will definitely get easier. Eating when I want to, well there's a change for the better. I got the new phone, still trying to figure out all the funny foibles. I (oh... ok hubby) managed to change to a downloaded ringtone and I changed the wallpaper. I have the Darth Vadar theme music to alert me of text messages tee hee hee.

FlaMie - I don't want to lose any more weight. I keep thinking I am going to gain overnight and it just keeps not happening. Brilliant though hey?

Yeti - I was luck that I managed to do a fair bit of travelling with Mum before she died. It is nice to have the memories but it isn't the holiday memories I hold dearest to my heart. Mum and I managed to disappear for a month to England and parts of Europe when I was 18. Hubby and I took her to Hong Kong and nearly lost her, she was short, wore glasses and had black hair and a tendency to wander off My Dad would have spewed if we had lost her. Her theory was you couldn't get lost if you had a tongue in your head. My biggest regret is that she died when Alex was 22 months old, and she had been sick for all of his life so she couldn't really enjoy him. You could always come with us to NZ...........now that would be a hoooooot!

Must go

Jo

Can I come too? I promise I won't be any trouble at all! Erm... yeah, I can't claim that... I won't be TOO much trouble... although I might not be able to promise that either... But can I come anyway?

It's sad that your mum couldn't enjoy Alex, but I'm sure she's watching over him and you. And that she's extremely proud of you!

How good is it that the program works like that? You eat and eat during refeed, and yet you don't gain weight! He's clever, the good doctor!

Big hugs to you, pretty lady!

HI Jo,

You're doing wonders to set my mind at rest, because I've been having those fears about gaining the weight back...I just have to trust that if I follow refeed I'll be okay.

Would love to come to NZ!!!! One can dream hey? I've got my trip to Broome in a few weeks, can't wait!

Greetings

Day 10 refeed

Weight 64.5kg

Ok I need to get this off my chest. I ate so much yesterday I thought an explosion was imminent. In fact I felt vaguely ill, I honestly could not have put another thing in my mouth without puking. And I drop weight??? No, there was no major event (major or minor actually) with the bowels. I don't understand how I could eat a couple of kilos (Ok I am guessing) of food and lose weight. It is tripping me out. And yes, there was 2 slices of bread in there.

Anyway...............today I add 2 bad fruits and some extra veg. I don't know exactly what the rules are about this but I can't eat everything, honestly. So I am trying to make sure I eat the change food and the protein and veg but all the bread/crackers/old fruits not a chance. In fact I went back to yoghurt and fruit for brekkie and I was still full from yesterday.

Yeti - Don't stress about gaining weight back on refeed, no need. I am starting to dread the changes, it all just seems to mean more bl**dy food. I don't want more, I just want different. I know, be patient, it will come. Maintenance?? well that is a completely different animal.

Mette - Of course you can come baby. You can tease Alex in the backseat . Cadbury chocolate factory on the 2nd day so you can sit and try not to eat everything K? You could never be much trouble, could you?? Can you handle a 9 year old boy???? If so, yep the more the merrier

Time for morning tea (sickly groan), might just have some peppermint tea I think. Stomach complaining!!

Fat melters

Jo

Hey Jo - finally I find time to find your refeed diary and say g'day. Congratulations on getting here and it sounds like you are doing really well (making me very jealous the thought of having more food than I can physically manage to eat!! Oh for the day!). Sounds like fun getting the hang of all the changes to rules, etc.

Anyway, have subscribed so hopefully will stay up to date now - thanks for popping by my diary so often with encouragement - I need it - there are some mini wagon wheels in the fridge at present screaming at me to eat at least one of them (going to stay strong though - I think).

Cheers - Kay.

Hey Jo... Catching up on your refeed journey. The too much food thing sounds like a bit of a worry, hope your belly doesn't pop! Sounds like your having lots of fun buying new clothes too hehehe

Cant wait to read your diary next week when you eat the teddy, could you please go to extra detail for me?

I'm sure Alex and I would be just fine! Me thinks him and I would have the funnest fun at the chocolate factory! No trouble at all! (now where is that angelic smiley... all I can find is this - is the universe trying to tell me something?)

No exploding now! You still have a ways to go! More food!

Big hugs!

Greetings

Day 9 refeed

Weight increase 400grms - 64.9kg

I am not at all surprised by the weight gain, a girl can only eat so much. I must say that last night I had a disaster and tried to fix it best I could. I cooked some fish for dinner, this was a planned big meal. But the fish was 'orrible, inedible actually. I had the veges all cooked so I ate them while I tried to figure out how to fix the protein part. So I grabbed some approved cheese and had it with crackers. So a very odd dinner but........I did the best I could.

At this very minute I have some chicken breasts cooking in the oven so that I will have some old protein at the ready (also for lunch). I prefer cold chicken anyhow . Hubby wants a chicken and avocado sandwich.

Hubby is home, he has done his back again!!! I took him to the doctor this morning and I have to take him to the physio tomorrow. He is so twisted, he looks like he has bad scoliosis (yeah I know, not spelled properlike). He is on valium, anti-inflams and pain killers. He is off work for the rest of the week (at least) so I have 2 little boys to look after. I am supposed to be at work but if I leave him he will try to do something stupid and will end up on the floor, just like an upturned turtle.

OK, today I get to have milk again (hooray, because this means less old protein and a decent cup of tea). And I get some new protein. I have it all planned (and let's face it a backup plan too JIC).

Kay - Walk away from that Wagon Wheel!!!!! Seriously girl, get it out of the house, NOW! The too much food thing should improve now, it has dropped (finally) and I get the new stuff (just a little bit). It is so strange that I am supposed to eat more than I physically can. The quantities seem alot more manageable now.

missusb - My belly is definitely bulging, terrible really, it was getting quite flat. Buying new clothes is sooooo much fun, having a hubby who doesn't care how much I spend is pretty sweet too. He knew all along that it was going to be a whole new wardrobe so he is prepared. Funny thing is this morning the Doc told him that losing 10-15kg would help his back..........The Teddy....should I phone you and describe it in excruciating detail, nibble by nibble. Worse that Chinese Water Torture I would expect

Mette - You and Alex OMG!! My son, my daughter, my sanity..........................

Gotta go

Jo

Hey Jo - sorry to hear about your hubby, but you sound like you are going well (your dinner sounds ok - and far betting than eating orrible fish!! - my first cohens foray into cooking calamari put me off forever - only ever buy it out now as others can cook it where I simply cannot!).

I might tag along to the cadburys factory with you guys - who could resist!! Maybe as well as gaining a daughter in Mette, you could gain a surrogate sister in me

Anyway, keep enjoying those new foods! Cheers - Kay.

Hello my darling,
Hubby's with bad backs I know ALL about...hope he recovers quickly...
So, weight gain huh? Bummer. I'm hoping it's just fluid and you'll wee it out.
I want in on that food **** phone call - maybe a conference call is in order. And how many tiny teddy's are we talking? Surely more than one? I think three would be perfect - foreplay, main event and afterglow.

Hmmm... I'm starting to think that you're too rough with your husband... He sure seems to throw his back out a lot... I'm starting to think that there are some... naughty things happening in your house! Not helped by the tiny teddy foreplay-to-afterglow thing!

Greetings

Refeed Day ummmmmmmmmm 12

Weight increase 200grms 65.1kg

OMG I'm fat, I'm fat, I'm fat NOT!!! I am still not even eating what I am supposed to. I am not stressing about the weight gain at all TOM is approaching so I guess abit of water retention is to be expected (Mental note to go check calendar).

Ok today I have new protein and extra old veges (what a surprise). I did eat the bread at lunchtime, chicken salad sandwich, yum ,but I had to have extra chicken and salad on the side cos it wouldn't all fit in the sandwich . I am going to have to have veges for afternoon tea so that I don't have to eat (lemme see can't mention quantities) triple the amount I used to eat for dinner. Seriously!!!!

Hubby is still broken, he did go to the physio this morning and that helped a little bit. She suggested he have a CT scan though that isn't what we want to hear now is it?

Ok everyone I hate to ruin fantasies but I am NOT going to be eating tiny teddies. My biscuit of choice is called Teddy Bears, much bigger than its tiny cousins but in my opinion much yummier. In the Arnotts plain assorted packets there are these teddies. You didnt used to be able to buy them seperately but now you can. At work I used to ignore all the other bikkies and just eat the teddies. Now you can just buy a packet of Teddies, hoorah!! Now....is this still deserving of a conference call........in my opinion YES.

Missusb - I love cooking shows of any description. Love buying cook books, in fact bought another this morning, all about slow cooking............drool. But then again I love cooking too .

Will be back later, I have a parent/teacher interview this afternoon at 2.45pm. Will find out what the little darling has been up to all year.

Kisses

Jo

Drooooling. Chicken and salad sandwich yuuuum. Teddy Bear bikkies yuuuuuuuum. Oh to have the problem of too much food.

Don't worry about me I'm just turning green with jealousy. I seriously think I may need to stop reading refeed and maintainance diaries. Makes me soooo hungry.

Now when can I have that next cracker.........

Hey Jo,
Sounds like your coping well on refeed. I know exactly the Teddy biscuits you are talking about, they are yummo or were.

Well I might need to call on your Dr Jo services soon if things don't happen on 20th. I am sitting here typing with a bit of a sore tummy so hoping it's not going to escalate.

Hope hubby recovers soon, bad backs are dreadful.

Michele
