Hey Maya!

Im' soooooooooo happy to hear that you are so much more satisfied on refeed this time around! That is so great! Your food sounds really yummy! I have to say, I've enjoyed the pineapple, and so has my son! Another one of those fruits I was never too fussed about, but now really like. Sorry to hear about the knee with its swelling etc. It sounds rather painful! It does sound as if you need to take it a bit easier on it, and gradually build up the walking so as not to aggravate it so much! It is also wonderful that you now are having a lot of energy! It kicked in for you quite quickly! That is great!

I mean to do the dry skin brushing every day, but I always forget and them remember when I'm actually in the shower! Mmmm me thinks its a self sabotage thing of mine! I really want to work on the loose skin I have, as I have a fair bit and I really want it to shrink back faster!!! LOL

Anyway, you sound very happy, my friend, and I'm so glad for you!
Keep on going from strength to strength!!

Vee

Good morning Maya, sounds like your coming to a great place with yourself as you mentioned I am happy with the weight my body is at for the time being even though you loved being the weight you were at 50 or so...

Remember we are older, maybe more muscle (sounds like your quite an active chick even if you werent intentionally exercising on phase 1 of the diet and always on the go) Our bodies are more intelligent than what we sometimes give ourselves credit for...

I love watching my daughter that eats what she likes and usually most of the time its really healthy and subconsiously like I made her chicken soup from scratch yesterday and the frames had some fat on it which led to oil drops on the stock (which I didnt take off) She basically refused to eat it and said mum I only like when the soup is clear colour...Or that she prefers not to drink milk and eat cheese..(tells me it hurts her tummy) Lactose maybe...
Anyhow I hope to get back to that place which slowly I have reagained by clearing my head with preservatives and gluten and basically crap that even my 85 year old dad tells me that its cause of the crap that we have the illness's we have in the society...
Completely true I dont know but makes sense also..

You have done so well, have inspired many here I am sure to be able to get back on the wagon. Going through your own thing and still taking time out for each of us also.

Thanks for posting in my diary.. Everything you write makes so much sense...

Thanks for being you...

Good morning Maya

I was interested in the DRY BRUSHING theory you were talking about so I looked it up and thought others might like to read this very informative link! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, Maria, thank You so much!!!
I know what you're saying - it would be so nice to get our own bodie's wisdom back, wouldnt it? I think it is doable. Hard, but doable.

Vee, you are just a legend. And it is beautiful sharing this part of journey with you. I can't wait till you read the books.

Honeybuns, hello hello, welcome! Yup, skin brushing - have been doing it through last round on Cohens. I simply love it and will always recommend it.

I do wish to visit more diaries, but I'm kind of busy right now...with translations and all that...

I'm also trying to do the refeed as well as I can - spreading the fruit, making sure I eat EVEYRTHING on the plan - that is SO important...

So, this was yesterday:

Day 5 Saturday 54.3 kg

starting weight: 54.6 kg
today's weight: 54.3 kg
change from yesterday: -400g
change from day 1: -300g

Breakfast-fish allowance+extra, Veg allowance + extra, mango
Lunch- beef allowance + extra, Veg allowance + extra, apple, slice of bread
Snack- orange
Dinner-yogurt, 120 g pineapple, ricecake

EXTRA: new good fruit (pineapple)

I'm also having more and more energy and it is hard not to workout. I do walk, though. An hour in the morning (is my meditation, my EFT time, my grounding)... and maybe half hour in the afternoon. Mostly I'm sedentary through day, so that helps.

Just really enjoying refeed this time. Hexi - you were 100% right.
I'm in a good place.

Very happy, thankful, satisfied...

I am who I wanna be.
Thank You Life!

I love your presence up here... And I do believe you will be just GREAT and really - for me second time around wasnt that hard... really really really trully. The weight did go down slower and yes, it was GOOD to order NEW program. But I am sooo glad I did it.

Not much new here.
Have been working on this translations and I'm loving this extra food now. It is really yumm now.

No complaints whatsoever.

I didnt sleep well last night, kept waking up and then got a sad mail...I was working on this translation for Discovery chanel and it was ok, it was just hard without ANY dictionary into my language (documentaries can be tricky with all the technical stuff)...and deadline was very close...
But I also did this test for another movie company...a friend that is translating for them (7 years) checked it and corrected it for me...and I didnt pass... I was shocked. She was shocked even more. I mean, if she didnt pass, who will? She really is good...

So, I put my shoes, ipod with some good audiobooks and went walking at 5.30 am. It was cold very cold, but I had no choice... I had to get it out...and talk to myself, tapp and just...try to understand before I would feel like a failure...
And I got this -
that thank God I didnt get into it now and not later, when I would be probably having hard time...and maybe not seing better oportunities to come...and after all - eventhough translating movies is a special art (it's an art finding the right words, expressions, idioms, similar jokes that our people will understand, making it short enough to fit in subtitles...) - it is still just ranslating someone else's creativity into our language...so my angels said -
you will rather do something creative yourself...

So, I'm ok with that.
It wasn't easy though, specially when you have no job, failing something like this. But - after all - there are people that have been studying languages, translations...I never did. So, I shouldn't feel too bad, I guess...

And I still have Discovery for now and then, cuz it is fun and very educational...

My dearest friend is getting married on March 14th, just 3 days after I get home and I am sooo very excited!!!! I can't wait to go to her wedding! I will be probably few days after the refeed and that will defenitely keep me motivated to stay on track with my food and not get teased by taking some day off...No no no. Not this time.

OK - back to refeed.
Funny, I woke up hungry today. My weight is dropping slowly... but I am doing kind of a lot of walking,... around 11 000 steps a day. I have been walking in last month every day and it just feels right. Only one hour a day, though.
I'm eating EVERYTHING on the plan and I intend to do that until the end of the refeed. Just no milk. No need for that.
I'm trying to spread the fruit through the day, good fruit earlier in the day, sugary later in the day.

So far, I'm happy.
I LOVE BREAD and I have NO problems with it.

OK, going to bed now.

Vee, this is fun, isnt it?

Hey maya

Are you planning on sticking to refeed amounts when you are finished? I am thinking to stick with last day refeed for a month so I 'get it' the whole portion size stuff and adopt good eating habits...

Whats your plan?

Hexi, I'm gonna be done with the refeed just before my trip to Europe...

I don't wanna sound harsh or wrong ... but so far most of the poCohenites have problem in maintnence...and since what happened to me... I am not trusting my own judgment at that time, really...

so, I am already involved in some other program, which my coach is gonna help me with...

I'm sending her special reports each day of my refeed - with a bigger questionarry how food affects my body, mind, emotions...so she sees exact reaction of certain foods on me. Normaly she puts clients on this cleansing before (just no wheat, milk and sugar for 4 weeks) and then they start adding certain foods, very gently...before that there's huge questionarry you fill up, to see what kind of body type and all that you are. So, mostly you already know what foods should be good for you, she's only helping me twick (?) it in the end.

Since I was having no dairy (except yogurt) on the diet and I'm also not having any cheese now, I didnt have to do the cleansing again and refeed days are great now - slowly adding food.

So, after I'm done, I will follow what she will recommend me - I will still weigh myself every day for another 2 weeks, to see how new food will affect me, until I get it down perfectly - what is the best kind of food for my body. Then I will know and will be able to be more confident and slowly get rid of the scale and slowly get on with the life.

I am not planning to stay on the diet, refeed portions and stuff for very long.

Since I will be travelling just after the refeed is done, I will simply stick to more protein - some egg omletes, salads, sardines (I miss them) and keep some fruit. The last time I was trying too much to stay on protein only and that carried me away, my body went into a shock and ..well, that was a different story anyway.

Sorry, I am babbling now..sorry...

So, no, I dont want to be trapped in the refeed sizes...I would like to find my own way soon. Adding carbs gently and slowly, but your idea is good - to let body get used to the new carbs...
I will see what my coach will say. I completely trust her.

Day 9 Wednesday 53.3 kg

starting weight: 54.6 kg
today's weight: 53.3 kg
change from yesterday: -500g
change from day 1: -1300g

Breakfast-fish allowance+extra, Veg allowance + extra, mango
Snack- apple
Lunch- beef allowance + extra, Veg allowance + extra, slice of bread, 50g banana, 60 g pineapple
Snack- apple, slice of bread
Dinner-yogurt, 60 g pineapple, 50 g banana, ricecake

extra: more veggies, 1 more bad fruit (banana)

I couldn't fall asleep last night. I kept waking up.
Maybe the black moon? I dont know. I haven't slept well in the last 3 nights. Maybe just stress.
I was gonna take some of this homeopathic Hyland's Calms tablets - but nothing says on it if it has anything i'm not suppose to have, just some herbs... So, I'm not taking it, I guess. UNlike the other homeopathic remedies, these do not dissolve under toungue but drink with water...so, probably no sugar in them?
Still not sure.

I was surprise to see such weight drop today, I must say.
My face finally looks normal now. It took a long time to get rid of those big cheeks.

Am still walking around 11.000 steps a day...as the whole time... and trying to get it all together -refeed is getting more and more complicated..seems like I forgot a lot, too???...Anyway, preparing to fly out to San Francisco on Saturday morning for the workshop. Will bring my scale with me, all the food for 2 days...so everything will be tak tak tak.

Hey Maya,

I notice your BMI - very, very close to underweight Missy!

Hey you also said in Vee's diary that you have been feeling hungry...do you think it is 'hunger' tummy growling or associating an emotion with hunger? I know I find it really hard to distinguish the feeling between hunger versus anxiety??

And the book it has a purply pink cover - he also gets us to ask our right hip/stomach if we are hungry before we eat!! lol

Yeah, I know, Hexi... Underweight is under 18.5... I'm still 19.6.... so still some buffer... and I'm sure it wont go lower for much longer as I will be adding more and more food now.

I was actually hungry last night...my stomach was hungry, but I AM EATING ALL THE FOOD.
...pineapples, bananas, everything from the list. All the bread. And I'm makin sure I'm not walking too much. Just that hour in the morning - it is for my own sanity I need that.

Oh, I thought that Think Thin Be Thin book...then it might not be the same one...

Hey beautiful girl! How good are you going! You sound so positive and organised, it's good to see! And I love how you handled the translation thing. I really do admire the way you think. When I don't have to work next week, I think I will take a leaf out of your book and start walking. After all, there's three big dogs in our house, so I should have plenty of opportunity!
Stay strong and keep smiling, pretty lady!

Im sure that the past mistakes are just that for you know past mistakes..

Hope you have a better night sleep... Stop thinking so much!!! Homeopathics should be fine theres a sleep well by martin and pleasant dont know if you can get that??
Hey also I read somewhere magnesium and calcium are 2 minerals we are depleted of when we dont sleep. We are allowed that and maybe take it before bed (better absorbed) but you know that proberly anyhow..

Hey Beautiful Maya!

I can't believe you are still hungry on refeed! I found it so satisfying so quickly! Maybe it was just that I needed a bit more variety to satisfy me!

The walking sounds good. I need to look at adjusting my schedule to fit in some kind of exercise now that I'm getting so close to the end. I always have good intentions, but end up not doing it! So will maybe have to make it a rule!

Yay for your great drops since start of refeed, 1.3kgs!! Awesome stuff!
You must be estatic!!

I hope you got some sleep last night, as a good night's sleep is so important!

Big relaxing, soothing hugz to you!

Vee

Hey Maya

I thought underweight BMI was 19 and under?

I would also check where you are having the bad fruits especially banana? Are you hungry after them...maybe have the bad fruits later in day with protein..

Well done you are doing so well
