Im into my 2nd week so day 13. I have been surprised at how easy I am finding the program and really enjoying the foods. I love the structure and how easy the meal planning has been. My husband has joined me in eating the same foods so its made preparing meals a lot easier. I have stayed on program 100% with no deviations. I had lost 6 pounds last time I weighed myself and haven't weighed since, since its TOM. I tend to retain water. I feel thinner and my clothes are fitting better. Today is a challenge. Im going to my cousins graduation and then they will go out for Mexican food. My plan is to eat before I go and take a snack with me. I will order a diet soda or plain iced tea and focus on spending time with my family. Its not all about the food but the company. I don't really think about food anymore and cravings are gone which is nice.

Fantastic Audree! It must be sooooo much easier to have both you and hubby eating the same food, it will be interesting if he sees benefits from that as well. The program is so inspiring when we lose so quickly, it really just encourages us to continue. It sounds like you're in the zone now, with not worrying about food, and craving gone...enjoy being on auto pilot!

As for missing posts, I used to hit the "new posts" button or flick to another page too quickly and that deletes your post...make sure the page has reloaded after you submit your post before moving on.

Great work Audree!! Don't you just love it when you start to feel skinny in your clothes!

Money cannot even buy that feeling!! Yay week 2, and extra yay that your husband is eating the same as you.
My husband pouts if I gave him my amounts...he always gets extra meats and salad and he helps himself to bread if he fancies it.
But it is so much nicer sitting down with him and eating the same foods!

You're doing fantastically well Audree! My hubby ate Cohen foods the last time I did it and while he didn't eat weighed foods, just eating the right foods with added potato or bread helped him lose more than 20kg! I'm sure your husband will feel so much better from eating Cohen friendly and you don't have to make separate meals

One of the things I really like about being on Cohens is the lack of cravings. Non Cohenites don't understand this but it's very real and is another great reason not to deviate.

Looking forward to seeing what your weight loss is this week

Louise

I am on day 14, about to start my third week. I have lost 9.5 pounds and feel great! I look.and feel a lot thinner. My.only issue has been trying to get my water intake in. I wasn't going to weigh yet since its TOM but its almost over. Im enjoying the structure of the program and how easy meal planning has been.

Wow! 9.5 pounds is 4.3kg (according to Google) - Excellent loss for 2 weeks but I think even better is that you feel and look thinner! Well done!!

Well done Audree! The water tends to be an issue for many people, especially if you're not in the hotter areas, persevere, you'll get there..

I have started on week 3 and I am down almost 10 pounds in two weeks! I feel thinner and people are noticing which is very motivating. I am enjoying the meal planning and the foods that I am eating on the program. I know that the holiday season is a difficult time as we are coming into holiday parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas but I am enjoying the way I feel and look more than food, which is temporary and will be there after I finish the program and refeed.

My hubby is also eating Cohen and he has lost 9.5 pounds in his first week! It seems like men lose faster, which I am happy for him and will keep him motivated to eat like I am. I read somewhere that it takes 3 weeks or so to make a habit and I feel like I am on may way there. Thank you everyone for the support! It makes a bid difference and I plan on being on here for a while, through program, re-feed and maintenance.

Apparently it's the testosterone that makes men lose faster. Great that hubby is doing it too, lots of support for you...I hope lol

Hi Audree!

Great news on your losses so far....you must be over the moon!!
I think it's great when your partner/ spouse chooses to eat similar meals to us....really it makes it a bit easier transitioning into a lifestyle of eating rather than a diet huh?

My husband was drooling over my meal tonight (steak with asparagus)!!!
I admit....I think I could eat asparagus at every meal!!!

How exciting Audree! You're doing so well! How does your Cohen's weight loss compare to your lapband weight loss so far?

Last I weighed had lost 10 pounds still but feel thinner. I'm trying not to weigh to often. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving also!

Well I got my band about 6 or so years ago. The way I'm eating on Cohen is the way we are supposed to be eating with the band only we learn ways to eat around it which stalls weight loss. The band rules are protein first then veggies. I haven't been able to follow the band rules and therefore couldn't lose any more weight. Seems the success on Cohen is better.

Tomorrow marks the end of week three for me. I've lost 11. 3pounds so far which is a lot for me. I'm hoping my body doesn't lose it so slow the entire time as I'm on plan 100% with no deviations. Yesterday was hard. My mom cooked another thanksgiving meal and it was a little challenge being there. I felt a little nauseous the last few days and hungry. This month also brings lots and lots of Christmas parties and birthdays plus our anno big Bear trip. I want to lose the weight even more then the food so I need to keep my eye on the prize!

I'm well into my third week and feeling pretty good. I haven't weighed myself since Sunday because it was coming off slowly and I didn't want to get discouraged. I notice my stomach growling lately. I have two Christmas parties this weekend to attend. I will eat before I go to Saturday party because there is only buffet style. The one on Friday is at a stir fry place that cooks fresh chicken or shrimp with zucchini. I'm going to ask they prepare mine separate and eye ball my portion and will take my snack have a weekend in big Bear the following weekend and will need to take my own food. I'm determined to lose this weight!!
