Well done. I don't now about you, but I've realised doing this plan how little I listened to my body telling me it was thirsty before - I've resolved to keep drinking like I am now

Back again for the support. Still think the diet and the forum are the best ever, but too old to do it again. Now losing again slowly on maintenance diet. Ticker shows next intermediate goal only (5 kilos).

Another 1.3 kg gone this week; so a TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS of 8.9kg in 4 weeks. Have to say am really happy with this loss. Weight now at 67.2kg, after starting at 76.1kg on 11th August.
Also, another 9cm gone off the bod; so a TOTAL SIZE LOSS of 45.5cm in 4 weeks. As I said to hubby this morning - I have lost nearly 1/2 a metre of fat in a month !! Am nearly half way, and feeling great.

Wow Ruby you really are doing well and will be at goal in the blink of an eye! I love yr avatar pic and i see from yr profile that it is actually YOU! Well done with yr body sculpting and one lucky factor for you is, you already know what it feels like to be slim and toned in a bikini shot and so that memory can help hugely with self belief! Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us! Pandora

Hi Ruby,

Going SO well, girl !! And you have to LOVE where those cms are all coming from eh? Waist and hips mainly..... (yep, saw your photos - don't you look pleased - and why not???)

Reading around, there are others who'd kill to have that result

And already nearly halfway? Woohooo - you're aceing this ....

Hi Ruby,

Koh suggested that I drop in on your diary for some inspiration. I am at day 7 and not doing so well. We have similar goal (except for the conceiving bit! I have one and have recognised my limitations as a mother!).

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and congrats and I will be following your (our) journey with interest.

Hey Ruby,

What fantastic results and all the girls are right... your picture is certainly a nice reminder to what is ahead for all of us.

Your results are amazing and have just convinced me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is possible. So thank you!

Good luck with the next 4 weeks, If you keep it up you could be done by then!

Hope your blood test results are all good.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Unhappy facing trouble...

WOW such kind words, from a great bunch of support people... I do appreciate your interest.
I am concerned however, as I have to attend a wedding on Saturday late afternoon/evening, and like everyone am worried that there will be too many temptations for me.
I should be able to get up early enough to eat a 6am brekky, then have an early lunch at 11.30am, but after that I have a 3 hour drive (so limited water intake !!) and am attending a wedding which starts at 3.30pm, with the reception at 5.30pm and will obviously finish WAY past 9pm... so what to do to 'save' myself...??? I know all about focusing, being strong, and using visualisations - heck, I've been espousing them to all and sundry !! - BUT the challenge of 'facing' forbidden fruit is one which I have yet to master. There have been a couple of slip ups here and there, but this function is a real concern to me... I wasn't on the program when I RSVP'd to the wedding, so didn't arrange for a 'diabetic' meal...
Can anyone help me with some strategies to use, while I'm surrounded by hors d'oeuvres, cheese platters etc etc. I'm sure I'll have no trouble ignoring the alcohol on offer, but feel a bit nervous about making sound choices re food intake for dinner...
Ruby

Hey there Ruby

I'm the last person who should be dispensing advice on your question, seeing how I just went completely off the wagon during a wedding! But I think I am qualified to say - DON'T DEVIATE. It really isn't worth it. I'm holding onto a belly that's considerably bigger than it was last week AND my skin is awful. You really do see the effects of deviation and the feeling is plain lousy.

Be prepared. Make a list of everything you need, and then, do like Santa does - check it twice!

You can do this hon. Just think of me as a cautionary tale!

Red face 5 weeks down... how many to go...?

Well, at the end of week 5 I had a mammoth weight loss of 100 grams !!!
Am not too concerned though, as I did an awful lot of walking this past week, and attended a wedding on Sat night, where I could not follow the program for my main meal. I did without the alcohol no probs, but ate a soup & a chicken concoction with (non Cohen) veggies too. I did skip dessert which was easy, as I'm no fan of chocolatey things.
So I am accepting of the teensy weensy loss this week, as despite the small number, I still lost 6cm. Funny huh ? At the end of week 3, I lost 1.7kg, but only 4cm from the bod.
I am staying positive, and am pleased that a 6cm loss compensates for a 'poor' weight loss week.
Anyway, onward and downward (with the weight!)... I still have 2 weeks left 'til AFL GF day, and exactly 1kg to lose so that I can tick off my personal goal #2... so shouldn't be a problem to lose 1 more kg in 2 weeks...
Keep on keeping on...
Ruby

Congratulations on another great week Ruby I would say that given how many temptations you were faced with at the wedding you probably did quite well to keep your intake limited, and as close to your program as you could. I'm sure you'll hit goal #2 in no time at all!

And WoOohooo for CM's! That really is amazing!

Hi Ruby

I sent you a PM about the question you asked me on my diary.

Great cm losses this week - in a way, that can be more important than the weight loss since cms are what the world at large (and you) actually sees - well done! Have a great week!

Well done on your losses. I know 100g is disappointing, but at least it's the right direction!

Hang in there - you are doing so well and a great inspiration to me. Thanks for stopping by my diary.

Hey Ruby, I know that the 100grams is a bit of a disappointment, but at least it's a loss! And you still had some good centimetres coming off too! I think you did well with a difficult situation like the wedding! And as long as you jump straight back on the program, the scales will start moving again in no time!

Have a great week!
