Default Day 4 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 75KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY +400G
OVERALL -900G

Increase in old vege
Same 1 good fruit
1 slice bread

This mornings 400g increase is not to much of a worry at the moment.
I have just had a yummy brekky I made "toad in the hole" my dad used to make it for us. I cut a hole in my slice of bread with a small glass and put it in my non stick fry pan with a little olive oil spray and cracked an egg in the hole cooked both sides and toasted the circle of bread that was cut out. Cooked up some mushies and tomato for my vege allowance

I was really hungry still yesterday between brekky and lunch and for some reason I have hunger after dinner??? My refeed amounts are so very slowly increased but I know it's what Dr Cohen decided is best for me so I will wait it out!!!!

Thanks to Koh (who always makes me smile) Vee and yeti for dropping by and especially my Aunty Anne, thanks for dropping by your support is so great I know Aunty Rosemary is loving it aswell. She will look absolutely awesome at goal!!!!

Have a great day everyone, we are off to our good friends, daughters 2nd bday BBQ today. I will be taking along my chicken and salad and fruit, definately no D's or guessing at the moment.

Hey Jenny!

Hope you have a great day today!

The increases in the beginning are slow, but there will come a day real soon where you will all of a sudden be satisfied! It will feel like a great day!!
I just hope you don't have the anxiety attack like I did!

Keep on enjoying refeed!

Vee

Hi Jenny
Rats that the hunger is still kicking around. I grew up with that brekky tooo - but I can't remember what we called it. Great that you can have it though! Keep strong - it is great that you are getting through this!

Default Day 5 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.8KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY -200G
OVERALL -1.1KG

Same vege & protein weights
2 good fruits
1 slice bread

Happy to see a 200g drop from yesterday, indicating that my body is slowly stabilising I hope. Also nice to be under 75kg I think this will be the weight I would like to maintain, but I will wait till refeed is over and see where it takes me.

Had a nice day yesterday with our friends for their 2yr olds bday party, found it very easy to not want any of the goodies on the table and even the Elmo birthday cake did nothing for me

It was not until after dinner I got these terrible cravings I didn't really even know what I wanted and I was experiencing some hunger but I sat down and talked to my hubby about what I was experiencing and it seemed to work talking about it and recognising it for just what it was a craving and after I had a shower it seemed to have passed. I just thought about how disappointed I would have been to look on the scales today if I had fallen into a binge....so overall very proud of myself and am in a good frame of mind again today.

So all thats new today is another good fruit. So for brekky I had some rockmelon in my yoghurt it was delicious. I am enjoying my 1 slice of bread at the moment I go up to 2 a day on Wednesday.....yipee a real sandwich
The only thing I am noticing with adding the bread is that I am back to daily BM's. My tummy seems fine with it so I guess when I go up to 2 slices I will see how I go.

Have a great day everyone

Hi Jenny, Refeed seems to be giving you great results. I just love seeing your progress and can only imagine what it will be like for me.

Great to see Aunty Anne commenting on your diary. She is amazed with the support you have had during this journey, which makes it all the easier to be DF.

Be nice to your self ....

Cheers Aunty Rosemary

Default Day 6 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.7KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY -100G
OVERALL -1.2KG

Down another 100g today very happy with that, almost back to my refeed low. Todays changes are exactly the same as yesterdays so not to much to report. Have my 12hr day at work today so packed all my food for the day. Spent most of yesterday arvo planning the rest of my refeed it does get quite complicated towards the end but nothing to hard to work out. The good doctor has reasons for his methods and who are we to argue...look at our results!!!!

Have a great day everyone

Hi Jenny!

Yes, the refeed does take a fair bit of planning, especially at the end with all the adding and subtracting.
Well done on your great losses! Hopefully you are feeling a lot more satisfied now that you are getting more food and a bit more of a variety!

Keep enjoying refeed!

Vee

Hey Jenny - just catching up on your refeed - sounds like you are doing really well (avoiding binges and working through what's going on is a great sign of maintaining your weight loss). Good on you and wish you well for the rest!!

Cheers - Kay.

Hi Jenny,

So pleased you are finding refeed agreeing with you. Wonderful to see you so strong. Hope you are soon eating enough that hunger is not present.

Some bananas for you - and you can eat the real thing!

Keep up the good work.

Default Day 7 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 75.1KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY +400G
OVERALL -800G

Increase in protein
Same vege weights
2 good fruits
2 slices bread

Up 400g this morning, was expected as I always eat later on Tuesday and once again was up early and not a good sleep last night. Also after commenting on daily BM's since adding bread I haven't had one since....so I am guessing that could be a factor also

Today sees the addition of another slice of bread....I can make a real sandwich for lunch very exciting. Have decided on a steak sandwich yummy!!!!! Will be very interested in the scales tomorrow with adding more bread etc.

I have today off and am taking my friend to the movies, she had her appendix out unexpectedly a week ago and has been stuck at home. We are going to see "Hes not that into you" should be a fun chick flick!!!
Also playing my second game of basketball tonight. Slowly the fitness will improve especially when I up the anti on exercise beyond refeed.

Assuming all goes well with refeed I am due to finish next Friday and hubby has decided to take me out to a beautiful resturant for dinner next Saturday. I am so excited I am not planning to go silly but enjoy the choices of food and I think indulge in a little dessert and a wine or two. I will apply all the maintenance guidelines for the meal and after so am happy that this will be how I navigate through maintenance and beyond.

Have a great day

hi jenny
this is my first post to you! ive seen "he's just not that into you"- its sooo good!!! happy and funny, you will love it. some people criticised the big cast, said there were too many famous people, but i think it makes it feel all homey and warm, like you know everyone hehe

well done on doing so well in refeed land!! hopefully i will be joining this magical land soon, as i am only 1.1kg above top weight range goal! you must be sooo excited for your hubby to take you out for dinner next sat, how great will you feel knowing that you are in total control when you order, and tasting the dessert and sipping wine (any sav blanc from marlborough new zealand is my fav; im very picky hehe). its so great that you have thought that out and have confidence in yourself that you will be able to "taste it" and not have more than you need. i think its all about making things a habit. if you make it a habit to taste a dessert, and have a few spoons and be satisfied, then eating more than that wont actually satisfy more! so in time, you wont feel the need to eat more than normal, and you wont put weight on like you may have in the past. it will be easy to go back to normal the next day without the guilt and the headache from the sugar and the rest of it..

ahh im reading along and salivating over extra veg, protein and bread! AND FRUIT! I AM MORE EXCITED TO ADD MORE FRUIT than anything else!! i could live on fresh fruit.... i would be sick with all the sugar and get really fat and bloated and gassy haha but i could live on fresh fruit..

im so excited for you to finish and get into maintenance. how amazing!

well done.. cant wait for your next update.. hmmm extra fruit...... i feel like homer simpson, dreaming about food in a little cloud above my head hehe

xxx

Good job on the refeed Jenny!

The hunger kicks in in the beginning I think, cuz your metabolism is speeding up again...after few days it will stop, you'll see...

Enjoy every day and dont worry about the scale going up - specially after not a good night sleep. It will all balance out in the end.

Good luck!

Default Day 8 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.3KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY -800G
OVERALL - 1.6KG

Same protein weights
Increase vege weights
2 good fruits
2 slices bread

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY, Great to see those scales drop to a new low for me today with a 800g loss. I had to wonder with the addition of 2 slices bread that maybe I would be carrying some fluid. The combo of a game of basketball and a good sleep does wonders!!!!

Really enjoyed the movie yesterday we had a great day. I am feeling like I have a lot more energy now the food has increased some what. I was feeling like I had lead in my legs last week at basketball. So I am excited at the process of getting fitter thats for sure.

The sensation of having a sandwich yesterday was really great. I will have my two slices again today and make a chicken and salad sandwich. No bloating in the tummy which is great, I imagine if I had gone for white bread it could have been another story.

Thanks for visiting Vee, Maya, Fi and hopeful.
Have a great day everyone. I am hoping to get to some diaries soon I have been very slack!!!

Yay, for an awesome drop, Jenny!!
Isn't that sandwich just the best???
It's what I plan to continue with for my lunches. It makes my lunch now look so huge compared to what I had on the programme for lunch! it is also so satisfying and filling.

Refeed time seems to go so quick, day 8 already! It's great you are enjoying it so much!

Hi Jenny

Congrats on getting to refeed! Just a question: how tall are you? My goal was set at 65kg and with yours being 70kg I assume you must be taller than my 5'7"?

Default Day 9 of 16

STARTING WEIGHT 75.9KG
TODAYS WEIGHT 74.9KG
DIFFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY +600G
OVERALL -1KG

Same protein weights (can cross protiens today..no 5hr rule anymore!)
Increase vege weights
1 "good" fruit
1 "bad" fruit
3 slices of bread

Once again an expected gain as I have found a pattern developed even in the program on Wed & Fri morn, weight was up from the night before..working late, eating late (still waiting just on 2hrs to sleep) and waking early. So I am pretty sure it will hopefully be gone tomorrow.

Today sees the bread jump to 3 slices. I am happy to keep my crackers for one slice and just have the 2 slices for a sandwich at lunch. For my "bad' fruit today I am going to try some figs for dessert tonight. Never really ate them as fresh fruit before so am excited to try something new.

Thanks for dropping by everyone. Honeybuns I am 175cm tall don't know in feet and inches and have a size 11 foot. My goal range was set at 67 - 70kg.

Busy Friday at wotk today, starting early so just a quick message.

Have a great day
