Day 146 (week 20) - Sunday 31st October

Hi everyone, just a quick short update for me. I'm feeling very, very emotional and sad at the moment. I got some horrific news on Friday. A good friend of mine at work died on Friday morning. He was 30yrs old, fit and healthy and yet suffered a heart attack at the station on the way to work. He has a wife and little baby who is just about to turn 1yr old.

He was such a nice guy, and we've been friends for about 3yrs. I can't even describe how terribly sad I feel about it. It keeps eating at me, and I just keep thinking of his wife and hoping that he kissed them both goodbye before he left for work.

Life is short and every moment is precious. Don't take anyone for granted and live every moment as if it's your last. Enjoy the people that you love, and don't waste the time on hating those that don't deserve you.

Oh honey, I was all set to write you a lovely message congratulating you about your refeed...but then I read your last post. So sorry to hear that, such awful news. Hold your loved ones a little closer tonight!

You are so right, life is so short and every moment indeed precious. My thoughts are with you and your co-workers, hope you can gain strength from each other to get through a very difficult time.

Hi DC,

It's times like this that have us turning our minds inside out asking "Why?" - and there is no answer that I have found yet.....

Hugs to you, darl - things like that are so hard to understand (and take) - but thank you for your timely reminder (we can so easily forget, can't we?)

Day 162 (week 23) - Tuesday 16th November

Well hello there pumpkins! How are you all..??!!

It feels like it's been such a long time since I've written in my diary on here. Have missed it very much. My life has been very stressful of late, and I think that took it's toll on me last week though me getting very sick. I thought at first it way hay fever, then I thought the flu, in the end I went to the drs and I had severe tonsillitis and ear infection - ugh! Haven't felt that sick and terrible in a long time!

I was very lucky though, as my beautiful mum cooked me lots of cohens shepherds pies (my fav!!) and I lived on them for the week as I couldn't even get out of bed for a few days there. I tried to go to work and ended up leaving early a few days, so glad that I'm feeling better now. I've still got a sore throat and I'm very tired but much much better than I was.

I have also noticed that if I don't get enough sleep I'm struggling to keep going the next day now. I think it's possibly a combination of stress, sickness and getting to the end of cohens.

I have my refeed in my hot little hands and I must admit I'm very afraid of eating the foods on there again, but I believe in the program so I must perservere! I'm going to visit my mum tonight and we're going to sit down and plan out my meals for the 21 days of my plan, and then we'll chat to Aimz and get some good ideas of foods that I can try. My plan is to start it this Saturday, and then I'll finish on the 10th December which is two days after my official end date on Cohens which is a nice little bonus!

I'm down to 74.9kg now and my goal was to get to 72kg so I'm confident that I'll reach that fairly soon and then if I can loose a little more during the refeed or after it that's a bonus. I'm just absolutely petrified of putting weight on... ugh... anyway. Will see how we go!

I hope that you are all well and I've just read most of your diaries so think that I'm all caught up now! Keep strong chickens and keep believing in yourself. You can do it!!

Hi DC,

Methinks thou doth THINK too much !!

Sweetie, it is NATURAL for weight to "move around a bit" - some girls find weight can move up/down 2 Kgs thoughout a DAY !! And, at certain times, you know, it is quite NATURAL !! So, do allow for your body to "move around" somewhat.

Many girls on Maintenance have found a way to "settle" into a way of allowing their bodies a RANGE of weight to be "OK" - and to only jump into action once their morning weigh-in exceeds a certain "trigger limit". And, seems to me, that is ALL you need to stay on top of your weight for LIFE !!

I hope one or two of them will pop in to point you to their Challenge - wherein they quote their Trigger Point, and live (and be happy) while staying below it. Once they go OVER, it's "action stations"

Stay happy, darl - and have Mum and Aimz read this too, so that they can pull you down when you start climbing walls over a few hundred grams

Hi, Mum, and Aimz - you two can keep this lovely lass settled, no doubt... She has done SO well, and will continue to, with you to help,

Hugs,

Koh

Day 163 (week 24) - Wednesday 17th November

Thanks so much Koh, you're such a gem - really appreciate your wise words and I promise I'll give myself a range and be happy with that.. Thanks also for saying how well I've done, it's so nice to hear that.

Ed thanks for your note, I think that I've read my programme about ten times now! It's good to know that although it's a bit overwhelming it'll settle down once I get started.

I had a really good session with my mum last night running through all of the new weights and foods and starting to plan my meals. It's a bit overwhelming but I'm excited too.

I just met up with a girlfriend for lunch (of course I was byo!) and she started crying when she saw me b/c she didn't know who I was! Wowee... that's the reminder that I needed that I've done well. It's the small things in life that are the best.

Have a lovely day muffins - stay tuned for the refeed updates as of Saturday!!

REFEED - DAY 1

Hey guys, it's pretty late and I'm so tired but just wanted to pop in quickly to say that I have started my refeed today. WOO HOO!! Can't believe it really. So happy to be here..!!

Today's not much of a change in my world, just slightly upping my protein and veggies so haven't really noticed a change, tomorrow's is the same, but then on the 3rd day - I get a piece of BREAD - excited and frightened all at the same time!!

Chrissie have you stared as yet? Haven't had a chance to read your diary as yet. Miss Nix glad that you enjoyed the omlette - they are great aren't they!!
Sunny my gorgeous thing, so glad that it helped inspire you. Keep it up you're doing sooo well!!

Night possums!!
