And finally this morning I got on those scales - 70.2 kg, and I am in the normal BMI range!

So the quest enters a new phase.............. the pointy end!

Hi everyone

Well where to start, I cleaned out my wardrobe today and most of it is on the floor, but my recent stuff is good! So those worrying about the wardrobe policy - never fear I think more shopping is in order - so a trip to Singapore will be planned for hopefully September - family wedding in October so Caro needs a new dress, and shoes, and bags and, and, and.......................heehee, just need to win lotto and I'm set................

But I know that some people must be waiting for the head issues to start - they have - I am really enjoying the change in me, real confidence........priceless, it has affected everything.......my work - renewed passion for community engagement, my soul - I am the most important person in my life, but my relationship - not so good, the SO has become self-admittedly insecure and a bit jealous and feels an inkling to go back to a time when I needed him more.

This is hard, how do I deal with him not being able to deal with me dealing with the changes?

Unhappily- if the partner is insecure in the relationship , any change can be a catalyst
I often see it in education where one partner takes action to get a qual leading to a great job and independance
the other partner starts to feel left behind and begins to act out
lots of talk and- if you want to keep the relationship- EARLY intervention
I swear, the only time I saw couples in my psych practice was when it was too late and they just wanted someone else to say it was over
you also need to introspect, my dear, and work out who and what you want to be when you grow up ( because you probably haven't considered your own dreams in a long time eh?)

Unfortunately change is a very difficult thing for most people and in this case the change is HUGE (physical and emotional). The changes for you have come over time and will continue. Perhaps patience and communication is warranted for the SO for now. As you said they are feeling the world they know has been turned upside down a bit and since it wasn't their journey, it may take some time to adjust.

Alternatively, you have to think about who you are and what you want. You may find this has changed as you have. Lot's to ponder dear. Lot's to ponder as you continue your journey.
