HI Mum Chum,
I am a FT worker too, so I am thinking a Saturday or Sunday afternoon catchup, at a coffee shop somewhere?

Hi Judi
I don't see any problem with taking your toddler along.
Where are you located at?

Mum Chum,
Where abouts are you located?

I'm at Wishart - close to Gateway & Freeway so doesn't take long wherever I go - usually

Count me in please! I missed the last one so I would like to make it this time. Can we set a date not too far away? (I am impatient!)

Me too - Especially if Phillida is coming now. Where are the rest of the Brisbane people. Do we target them - is that allowed?

Ooooh wait for us!!! I for one would love to meet up and I'm sure Rose will be too. Our only issue is that if it is a weekend it would work better for us if it was one when our kids are at their dad's. If that's too hard to manage I'm sure we can work something out

This weekend we are finishing now was a kid weekend, so every alternate one from 29th Jan is kid free!

Will be great to meet everyone!

Sue

OK - so for you Brisbane girls - I can access gem squash for (Yesterday) $2 per kg. They will only be available for 4 more weeks tho. I spoke to the grower at our local markets. I am buying a bundle and will cook them up & freeze the pulp for when the season finishes. for me, they are my potato/pumpkin alternative altho I don't have it all the time like I used to with potato / pumpkin.

I am also buying mangos flat out & freezing them in serving sizes as well. Yesterday I bought a tray (about 20) for $12 plus at another stall it was fill a bag for $5 so will be busy this week as they ripen. Bit worried about how much space I'll have in the freezer - lol. Especially when I also buy meat as a full piece & that is in there as well (in serving sizes).

The point of all this was if anyone wants gem squash - let me know & I can get them. They are supposed to last a good month sitting on the bench so it doesn't matter if I pre buy them.

I am very keen to meet other Cohenites, but my sister is due to have a baby any day now (she has never gone past 36 weeks before), so I will go along with any date the majority decide on, but my attendance depends on when the baby comes, as I will need to travel down on a weekend ...
Hope this makes sense.

Hi everyone. That gives a few options. On Saturday Feb 13 I have been asked to do a show and tell at a local tapestry group (I design in my spare time). That goes from 1.30 but I should be able to slope off by say, 3.30. So here are some options. Friday 12 for dinner, (say 7.00pm), Saturday, Feb 13 for morning coffee which could possibly run in to an early lunch but then I will have to leave (say 10.30am) or afternoon tea or dinner that day or Sunday lunch (Sunday being Valentines day of course but that shouldn't afffect me to much but it may others).
Does that weekend seem to suit?

Ok well how about this for a time: Saturday February 13 at 10.30 or 11.00? And place? All suggestions gratefully recieved. The Bulimba place didn't have a clue about Cohens last time I went - they have new owners. But if it is just for morning tea then it shouldn't be a problem. If you want to extend into lunch then that is a different kettle of fish. There are heaps of places in Oxford Street so maybe we could make it somewhere there. What about Cafe Citrus? http://www.cafecitrusbulimba.com.au/index.html Riverbend books, Coffee Club, Mary Ryan? If I knew numbers I could call ahead and put in a request for lunches. Maybe we could just ask for chicken or fish and salad and I can bring my handbag size scales.
Just a thought.

Sounds good to me. I can make that either 10.30 or 11.
I would prefer to just have a coffee, so maybe 10.30 is good!
Any one of the places you mentioned sounds good to me, so long as there is coffee!! The Cafe Citrus looks good and it is in an easy to find location!

Are they digital ones in 1g increments? if so where did you get them? I am travelling in March and need something to take with me and don't want to lug the big ones around in my bag!!

I too live in Brisbane and would love to meet everyone but may be out of town on 13 Feb. I live near Ipswich if anyone else is in that area

Incidentally, I was also wondering if any Brisbane ladies would be interested in a clothes swap? Get rid of the clothes that no longer fit you and get someone else's that no longer fit them? I imagine everyone is a different size so it should work...

Let me know what you think and I will try to organise it!
