Hi Jen

That's the spirit and I'm joining you.

These last few kgs are so stubborn but I need to keep reminding myself that it's that real unwanted fat that's slowly breaking up.

This challenge is on to be 100 %.

Just had my breakie now and drinking tons of water to flush out yesterday's sins.

Hi LF
Me too, I just couldn't handle what I was doing to myself (as Koh did so wisely point out), esp when I love the Cohen structure & simplicity.

Very proud of you too!

Hi Jen,
I just had a go and I think I managed to fix your ticker. Took me back a year or four though....

Seems you had copied just the [img] code without including the [url] stuff. If creating a new one, it needs two to three lines of code, starting with [url and finishing with /url]

Let me know if it is not right though....

Hi FM,
Looks better now... You shouldn't need to change it constantly. This one appears to work, so just do an "EDIT/UPDATE" each time and it should continue to work well.

Rock on, FM,

Waiting still for new scales, hope they are the nice type. So back on 100% for me until I do RF. & then maintain.

Not liking the way,I'm looking, feeling or eating when off plan, hence going back on.

Changed my yog brekkie, was ALWAYS as a smoothie with coke zero etc, but now am having it with decaf coffee & a sweetener, yum.

Take care
Jen

That sounds very positive for your future then... 'cos it follows that, even once on Maintenance, sticking to a good eating regime will keep you feeling good too. Of course there can be little indulgences too (if you wish) once in Maintenance, but those won't have the same "hold" as they used to if you keep on feeling good when eating well.

Meanwhile, that could be a good little quote to stick up around the place, eh?

Rock on, FM

Hi all
Hope everyone has had a safe Christmas.

My son, brought me for my present, with much guidance, The diet trap solution by Judith Beck, as I not only want to finish my Cohen's weight loss, but I need to maintain it then.
So, my journey begins, yet again 😊 And remember, it is consistency that counts.

Merry Xmas Jen! I’ve never heard of that book before. I’ve hit the ‘pause’ button for a couple of weeks because I just couldn’t stick to plan but have found I am easily maintaining the loss so far so at least when I jump back on (hopefully in a week or 2 when we get back from holidays) I won’t have done any real damage! I’ve got a girls weekend booked in Feb so hopefully that gives me motivation to stick to plan so I can feel comfortable lazing around the pool in bikinis ☺️

Thank you Tess, lovely to hear from you!

I think this book is relatively newish, but very useful, more so than her original book for me.

Well done on maintaining, you'll get there!

All the best everyone

Default Re: Findingme's Diary,

Thank you Marmaduke, I'm hoping it will help too. 💖

Sort of relieved that its a Monday, good for me to count as my weekly weigh in, esp as a Mum, Monday s are always the start of the week.

So, all my effort now in finishing my plan, controlling my emotional binge eating sessions etc. Funny how I can still feel fat & frumpy even though I'm at least 20kgs lighter than this time last year. So, I just want to get it done & will then have to rob a bank to get my batwings & boobs fixed! (I know they cannot self correct after program)

I love my Cohens structure, meals & direction. I am also loving eating seasonally, stone fruits esp. My kiddies are used to me eating at other times, & my Cohens meals. Plus, they are all essentially teenagers & eat like them, so it is practical for their food to be filling but good. Mine is for losing weight after all.

So, let's all succeed everyone,
Take care
Luv Jen

Hi everyone

Going OK, still have the silly virus which is making me feel very blah. I know I'm not well when I do not want to eat(shock horror) or even drink any water, which is a huge indicator for me that I'm feeling crap.

I am just going to follow the program for as long as I need until I get to goal, no time frame. I figure why make it harder on myself when my body will do its own thing after all, I just need to follow the good doctors plan.

Take care
Luv

Just me

I seem to notice that I often contradict myself here, prob confusing a lot of us! 😅

Have decided to set some goals.
1. Be under 70kgs by my daughters birthday in early March
2. Be at goal and finished refeed by my boys' birthdays mid May. Yes, 2 Taurus teens 😈

I realise I have given myself a lot of time, but am just using a kilo a week as a rough guide. I thought this would give me that extra motivation, also not doing the weighing thing until I notice a physical difference, I just feel it will be detrimental at this point, grrr.

Emotional binge eating is my downfall, esp late at night. A bad habit I've gotten into of late that I need to break, it will be tough though.

So, all the best everyone
Take care, as always
Jen

Well, tried walking out my emotions, as has been mentioned to me by LF & my psychologist. It was better than bingeing or stewing emotionally. Very late, cool, could only manage a block, but baby steps here. Hopefully will help the 😴.

Have a good day everyone

Hi FindingMe,
It is good to see you thinking through "what you can do for your body" - I admire the effort, and it can work well for you.
Quote:

I totally agree......
Quote:
Have decided to set some goals.
That is cool too - IF they are goals that you can actually control.... like
1. Drink all of my water allowance - sipped thru each day, not chugged
2. Eat all of my meals, as prescribed
3. Work towards being as happy as I can be every day
etc

Those are goals that definitely will help you with the journey, FM.

Quote:
1. Be under 70kgs by my daughters birthday in early March
2. Be at goal and finished refeed by my boys' birthdays mid May.
Nice thoughts, and yes, they may well be achievable. I hope they are, and I'll be looking forward to your squeals of delight as you achieve each one.

These are rather "wishes", and not goals you can directly affect as your body will do what it does with whatever you give it. Goals are manageable - wishes are not. The big danger is that if you are getting further away from achieving these "goals" as time passes, you may be tempted to push a bit more in an attempt to meet them. Like, you might start running around the block instead of walking, or trying for three blocks... and getting anxious as these moves can actually SLOW your progress even more. Then you get tense and stressed - and that will definitely slow you down.

My suggestion would be - go for goals you CAN achieve, like the first three I suggested, (add any extra ones you wish to that list) and just accept whatever your body is able to do for you by early March or mid-May.

The more you are able to relax and let things happen while you simply follow the rules, the more likely you will succeed with those other "wished-for-goals" anyway.

Hugs,
Koh

Thanks Koh & hi to everyone

Getting there. I have been trying to figure out what has been different from now & being in the zone last year. Think I have found something, so will see.

I agree Koh, so for me, my goal is to stop eating at 9pm, as suggested by the good doctor.
The water, meals, fruit, crackers & timing are all good. It's the after 9 thingy when the wheels fall off.

I also have to have an iron infusion Next Week as even with supplements, my levels keep falling.
Good news, my cholesterol is down 4 points!
I really love this Lifestyleplan.

I know I seem to be the only one replying to things, or writing, so hoping I'm not annoying anyone. I just find facts useful, want to share& tell people that someone is there for them & trying to make this as easy as possible for us all.
I especially think the sharing of fellow members & their journeys that I am invited into, as being so meaningful, insightful & moving. Thank you all so much ❤
Luv, as always
Jen
