That guilt may not be a bad thing, Connie. Hold onto it and it will stop you overeating in maintenance.

You're sounding so much happier now. Refeed is certainly good for you.

Default Congratulations!

You have lost such a lot of weight Connie, well done. Sounds like you were very ready for refeed. I wasn't that hungry. But wow I am enjoying it. Blueberries, blueberries, blueberries.

It does worry me though that I am bolting down all that extra food when I used to labour over the lesser amount. I hope it all works...

What's your surprise for tomorrow? I had my first piece of bread today. No adverse reactions so far. I thought I might have as I had suffered for years from irritable bowel which disappeared on the plan. Will see how it goes.

I'm doubling my extra protein tomorrow and continuing on with the blueberries and slice of bread. Feels weird not having my usual quota of Vita Wheats. They had become my old friends!

Good evening everyone!

Refeed day 6

Weight: 63.4kg -0.2
Breakfast: Yoghurt + Pineapple
Morning tea: Apple + 1 cracker
Lunch: pepper prawns with balsamic salad + added old vegies and old protein.
Afternoon tea: mandarin + cracker
Dinner: Turkey breast steak and ratatouille, with added old protein, and added old vegies.

Didn't do bread today decided to do it every second day .....

Thanks Janine, I got an extra good fruit today so I now have 4 fruits and have made a lovely fruit salad with apple, rockmelon, pineapple and apple all chopped and in portions for tomorrow .... I am looking forward to that. Tomorrow is the same as today for me, but that's OK I liked today LOL and my added old protein and vegies is double what it started at so I am pretty full now LOL

Thanks for coming over Stoddy, You are looking Fab in your avatar I must say! ... not long and you will be here too!

Ohh Thanks Soon to be ... I am always humbled when people find me inspiring, but I am glad I can in some small way help others make the journey

hey AJ, Yeah I don't think it's such a bad thing to have. I am in a state of shock really ... still losing .... very strange LOL ... I realise it has to stop soon but I will enjoy it while it lasts

I am going to go and post this in the tips and recipes section, but my woolies supermarket today started stocking the Inghams fresh turkey breast steaks and turkey breast stir fry ..... Of course I bought all of the ones here But it may be worth a look if you like a nice turkey breast!

I went to Church today ( and apart from a revelation about maybe the communion being the elusive D on my blood tests - doh ), There was several people who asked my daughter if I was her Aunt from Adelaide, cause they hadn't been in a while ... even the minister ( who only does services at our church every 4 weeks and I missed the last one ) said during the service it was nice to see Kodie and her extended family at the church ... it wasn't until the peace greeting he actually realised it was me .... hehehe

Have a fantastic day guys

Connie

Down again, Connie, I see. Your body must like refeed.

I'll be looking for the turkey breast meats. I love turkey. Not sure our supermarket will have them though, it's a bit limited in some things.

Default Ohhhh My Goodness......... I have found euphoria!

I just ate my fruit salad for morning tea ... my taste buds are in heaven!!!!!!!!!!

That was soooo good!!!

I chopped up my allowance of pineapple, apple, orange and rockmelon yesterday and then divided it into 4 .........The one I just ate had been in a baggie overnight ..... the juice was all mingled and it was just delicious ......... Almost better than .... well you know ... I was making noises like Meg Ryan in when Harry met Sally LOL

Great that you are still going down, Connie.

I'm still enjoying my allowed fruits. Pineapple doesn't do a lot for me (actually it does, it irritates my tongue). Even so, I'm looking forward to refeed, whenever it may occur.

Ohhh....

and I forgot to mention I started seeing a counsellor last wednesday. Had a good starting session, and it seems I am still carrying some baggage from dad's death. Thought I had dealt with all of that ... but judging by the 45minutes of bawling I still have a ways to go.

I am very hungry today ... almost pre refeed hungry ..... wondering if it is the bread at lunch or maybe the sugar overload from all the fruit....

Will be interesting to see what stories the scales tell tomorrow.

Thanks for popping in ez and AJ, I was getting a bit lonely over here LOL

Going to bed now, have a great day everyone.

Connie

hey connie...

you may have a way to go yet mate, but if you bawled for 45mins, then you came a long way today...remember that

Default Weight

Lucky you losing on Refeed Connie. I'm getting a bit worried as I am stationery (or .2 up from when I started) and I need to lose 1kg to get to my goal weight.

I'm stilling thinking about food more on Refeed than I did on the full plan (excluding the first 2 weeks). I'm not actually that hungry but food comes to mind not long after I have eaten. And boy are we eating more and more. I'm worried that the mindset will continue so that I get back to the comfort eating. I liked the feeling on the full plan where you knew you couldn't eat any more, so you didn't think too much about it, had no cravings, wasn't hungry etc.

Hope it all irons out...

Hey, Connie, you are doing amazing !
Losing so much every day?!?!?!
I'm on day 10 and kind of stayed the same, a little above where I started (just had 3 pieces of bread yesterday, too).

I think refeed is working great on you which means you started it at the right time!! SOOO cool !

Hunger - I gotta tell you this morning was THE FIRST MORNING on refeed I actually felt full and not hungry for food. I had my yogurt and mango and a fig , left crackers or bread out totally.

But I know what you mean and I really think that hunger is just a sign that our metabolism is adjusting and actually burning the food we eat.

I decided today to count calories from the food on a refeed, cuz eventhough we are so worried to add up weight - if you really look at what we eat realistically - is it REALLY so much food?
It's still

no fat
no bad food
veggies, lean meat, fruit and few crackers

So, it's still a diet food...so I wonder why are we so worried about adding the weight?

I mean, I'm in the same boat...and also don't really excited to see weight gain every morning (almost).

That's why I think it's AWESOME to see your loss every morning!!!!!

Great job, girl!

Default Hungry

Day 5 of Refeed for me today. I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who is hungry on Refeed. How ridiculous, after all the extra food.

However, after I had my first little, hissy, low-blood sugar fit tonight before dinner, I devoured a stack of yummy beef pot roast that I had made in an oven bag (browned a chunk of beef in a pan, added water to get the juices then threw it in the oven bag with appropriate veg and baked on low until tender - delicious but difficult to weigh out veg component when soggy with juices). I have had a pain in the gut and felt stuffed since. I think it is slowly working its way down. How can we eat so much meat??

Two good fruits for me tomorrow - yah - will add pineapple to my blueberries. I have been alternating breakfasts throughout the plan with a one egg mushroom and spinach omelette, then the yoghurt blended into a drink with some of my fruit allowance (now my new blueberries - yum). I can't believe that yoghurt drink lasts me until lunchtime (with a cracker snack). Prior to the plan, I would have laughed if anyone had said that fruit and yoghurt would sustain me more than hour. Just goes to show what a well balanced diet would do.

I am going to attribute my hunger and low blood sugar tonight to bread (even though it was only 1 slice for the last 3 days) and replace it with crispbreads tomorrow to see how I fare.

Great to have all of you guys to bounce this around with. Otherwise I might think that I am nuts!

Just letting you know I popped in again, Connie. It's quite an ordeal for me, all that talk about food I can't eat -- yet.
