Re: Maintenance Challenge!
Feeling very happy with my food, quantity is good, loving my healthy fats, loving the different recipes; it's all helping to keep me on track - managed to say no to special morning tea yummies, just had a small piece of zucchini slice (LCHF compliant) carrot cake, and to devine birthday cupcake! That was hard, one of student's birthday, I took it to not hurt her feelings, waited til they'd gone home and turfed it! WIN! It smelt sooooo good, all through music class I could smell it, I was drooling! But I won. I have also decided to only change my ticker on Sunday's. Hope everyone else is doing well Today's weight: 69.7 Last Sunday: 70.8. Best refeed weight: 66.2 |

Re: Maintenance Challenge!
Start of Maintenance - 12 Feb 2015 - 52.3kg
Week 1 - 6 March 2015 - 52.1kg Week 2 - 13 March 2015 - 51.6kg Got to be happy with that! I also celebrated 1 month into maintenance on Thursday at 51.6kg. Like Ciors - I am also happy and satisfied with my current eating plan and food amounts incorporating good fats - I do not feel that I am dieting - but that I am changing my lifestyle! |

14/03/15 58.5kg
07/03/15 58.5kg 28/02/15 58.7kg 21/02/15 58.7kg Was surprised at the weight as again had a zig zaggy week. I need to get out of these binges during the weekend and mid week. Saturday weigh ins are working well for me as I was so tempted to have a glass of wine, cheese and crackers etc on Friday night but the thought of weighing delayed it until Saturday . However, I need to settle down and form good eating habits 7 days a week and not having to reset each week. WB |

Week 1 - 6 March 2015 - 52.1kg Week 2 - 13 March 2015 - 51.6kg Week 3 - 20 March 2015 - 51.6kg Another good week for me and I'm pretty pleased. I experimented a little more with good fats this week and I've been laying low with the wine (everything else just seems to fall into place if I refrain from the vino). Everyone is welcome - Greeni - we'll see you when your sister's visit is over. WB - well done on keeping it steady. I wouldn't worry too much about the resetting as I'm beginning to think that it is the new normal. As long as you're keeping it to 48 hours, it's a great way of keeping your body guessing and I do not see the harm. |

Week 5 - 3 April 2015 - 52.2kg Week 6 - 10 April 2015 - 52kg Today marks my 2 month anniversary in maintenance and weighing in at 52,5kgs. We had a lovely weekend celebrating amazing news, and I didn't feel too bad for letting my hair down and celebrate. I feel that constantly monitoring my weight allows me to 'judge' the day and plan ahead - so if I'm a little higher than my comfort zone 53kg, I just watch what I eat the next 48 hours. I generally stay away from refined carbs and alcohol, but relax the rules a little over the weekends. |

16/05/15 60.6kg
14/03/15 58.5kg 07/03/15 58.5kg 28/02/15 58.7kg 21/02/15 58.7kg 2 months have passed and a 2kg gain so back again to regular posting to get me back on track. For some 2kg may not sound a lot but it is amazing how difficult it is lose and the difference it makes. I am a person who works towards goals so my next goal will the holiday in 4 weeks time. While it will be a winter holiday so no swimsuit required, I don't want to wear loose tops to hide the muffin top over the jeans See you next week - will be aiming for the 59's WB |

We both have been doing extremely well in remaining so close to end of refeed weights - but we both know that it is much easier to keep 'on top' of 2 than 5 (or 10). And for us shorties - 2 kilos shows very quickly (mine shows chubby cheeks). As I mentioned in my own diary that I had my 3 months in maintenance land at 52.2kg. This is already way better than I managed in my first maintenance. Good luck All - I know there's a few ladies who'll be joining us soon - hint hint - AZ, Tes, Elaine, Audrey... |

Hi N2M - awesome work maintaining. You're an inspiration to me and I can't wait to join you all in this part of the journey.
Not a bad idea to weigh in and keep us updated on your progress. This is an important part of the journey and would be good to get a sneak peek into the trials and tribulations. Hugs Andie

I just need to remain more accountable - it really does wonders for staying on track. Tes - I will see you in here very soon! |

Re: Maintenance Challenge!
n2m you are really doing so well. If you could advise people on managing maintenance specifically relating to portion size. Would you tell us to stick to Last refeed quantity obviously less fruit and not as much carbs. I think portion control is an unknown as there is specifics around food types and timing and combinations. Portion is really what got me here in the first place. Do you say mix it up and do some weekday OP eyeballed portion sizes or how do you manage this?
