Yep there is definately a trend emerging with that woolies bread. It looks so lovely and tempting when you purchase it, but obviously evil lurks within. You were brave to try Vee! I hope that the bergin bread is kinder to you!

I'm gone for few days and you are sooooo nicely settling in the land of Magic.

I am reading your diary word by word.

Soooo excited to read how you even dropped some weight and that you are sooo happy for the emotional work you have done. I can guarantuee you one thing... We can always add few pounds on (and get them off again)...but the knowledge we learn - no one can take that away from us. The wounds we heal from childhood - they will never bleed (so much) again.

I am soooo excited to read every day on your refeed, sweet woman! And hey, I saw your pictures - YOU LOOK STUNNING!!!!!! HONESTLY FROM THE DEPTH OF MY SOUL - I can't see where you could lose few more kilograms?!?!?!?!?! I think you look f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(you should write a book to inspire people how to heal themselves...for all those poor souls at Big Loser Torturement!!!!!)

PSssst!!! I am joining you in the refeed Land today!!!! Yipiiiiiii!!!!!!!!

Default Day 5

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 64.7kg
Difference: -400gm

Well looks like that Woolies bread is pure evil. Yesterday I stuck with the Burgen and had a 300gm drop. My days are cruising pretty well. I plan 2 days of meals in advance and then have those as planned. Today's differences are pretty much the same as yesterdays.

Thanks for the visits Jo, Mette, Louise and Maya!

Jo, yep, stay away from Woolies bread. The better breads are so much better value as well as being better for us.

Mette, I'm sure I'll be trying different things that I have been hanging out for, but I will do it in moderation and observe the effects of it, rather than just have an all out pig-out fest. Why would I want to undo all my hard work? You are a very smart lady with what you are doing!

Louise, hope you are travelling well.

Maya, so glad you finally joined me in refeed land!! It's pretty lonely stuck out here! Just as well I can delve into everyone's diaries!! Hope your refeed goes smoothly and that you are feeling more satisfied this time! Thanks again for all your help and insights!! You are a legend!

Hugz!

Vee

Good morning Vee,

I think I would be satisified with just more of the same food. I really really enjoy the foods I choose from my allowances.. Just more somedays would be great...

I love Burgen bread Im sure its the crap like the gluten and stuff in other breads. Im not a big fan of bread anyhow... LOL pasta and rice mmmm thats a different story.... But its interesting to hear you about it...

I agree with Maya... Write a book Vee... I will buy it. LOL as Im sure many others would...

Awesome work lovely lady...

I think the biggest thing for me getting to refeed is staying in control (well thats what Im worried about but by the sounds of it we are told what to do) or is it when they say increase a little of the good foods etc.. Is that your chioce or is there a weight for you?

Oh its getting the better of me... Im sure in good time I will find out!

Have a great day!

Hi Maria,

Refeed starts out with increases in quantities of our foods, know and increasing the old protein and the old veg. It then gradually introduces things like bread, good fruits, bad fruits, new proteins and new veg. On day 5, I've only had the old protein and old veg, the good fruits and the bread introduced so far.

I'm definitely finding the amounts more satisfying physically and emotionally.
They put the #$%^ fund raising chocolates out again in the general walkway at work (a different person doing the fund raising) and I have to admit, it's not tempting me as I'm more satisfied with my food now.

Thanks for your's and Maya's vote of confidence in me, but I would have no idea what to write, let alone a whole book full! I just feel I do what I have to do!

Have a great one!

Vee

Hi Vee,

Can't have you feeling lonely in refeed land.

I have learnt a lot from your struggles at the end of the programme around starting refeed so thanks for sharing so honestly.

Sounds like you have really learnt to listen to your body. Well done. That seems to be a big key to success in maintenance.

Looking good
Shanara

Hiya Vee

I was that excited to see you in refeed land that I almost bounced off my chair. Not a good thing when you don't have anymore padding on the old bum bones.

Well done for reaching this crucial stage. You have had your struggles but stuck to it. What a trooper. Caught up with what you have been doing, and well done for nutting out what is and isn't working.

I shall drop by more often. I promise

Hey Vee!

I'm so glad to hear you feel satisfied with new amounts of food!!!!
I can't wait to feel full again!

I know our "refeed rules" are a little different (american versus australian) - I have some work to do, so I wont post same questions that are already on here...but maybe I can ask you - are you planning to mix fruit? My consultant told me I can even make a fruit salad...

I can't wait to try bread.
I know a lot of people stay away from it, well, for me that would be silly, cuz our country lives off bread, so I will defenitely wanna reintroduce it back to my body. You know that bread is more digestable if you toast it? Always toast it a little.

I used to make it as desert - specially when you get butter on one piece? Put some butter and make some jam (just steam some of allowed fruit, and top the buttered bread) - yummm! You will never buy jam again it is just so delicious to make it your right there, warm. What a desert!!!!

OK OK, not there yet, better get excited about my extra few grams of protein and veggies...

Good luck!

Hey Vee

Damned those fund raising chocolates to hell!!!

Don't they know how important what you are doing is? You are doing so well, you are almost finished, aren't you excited? Don't bounce like Katie, you don't have any bum-padding either!!

Be kind to yourself darling girl

Jo

Thanks for all the lovely visits!! Great to see you Tara, Shanara, Hexi, Fi, Katie, Maya and Jo!

Katie, hope all is going good in maintenance land, will check your diary for an update!

Maya, yes, i mixed half a good fruit with half an old fruit (paw paw, bit of lemon juice and blueberries) and it was yummo! I'm loving having that extra fruit every day, and while I never was a bread person, I'm really enjoying good quality bread as a half sandwhich with either my veg and chicken or veg and cheese! I just use my mayo allowance as my butter. I'm very satisfied after lunch now!

Jo, I agree, it is most inconsiderate of them!!
I'll just have to be extra strong. Funnily enough, doing refeed has helped with that, and probably the fact that I'm not so hungry anymore!
Man, about that lack of bum padding, I have to keep getting up and go for a walk to relieve my aching behind. It aches if I have to sit for more than 20 mins! Never had THAT problem before! But I can live with it! LOL

Have a fab day everyone!

Vee

Vee

You may need to buy one of the little granny cushions and carry it around with you. Anyway OH & S says you should get up and walk around.

Can you move the chocolates out of your line of sight??

Hi Vee,

Wow, your photo diary certainly tells the tale eh? How nice that you are now the NEW Vee, and looking SO good

Seems like refeed is agreeing with you. And you just seem to go from strength to strength too - the extra food just satisfies more, and allows you to fight off any bl**dy fund-raising chocs that seem to be "forever around". Love it, Vee - stay strong through this, then, as you step out the door into Maintenance, just cruise - no need for speed - you have "the rest of your life" to try things out - slowly, so that you know what does what.

Know what, I get the strongest impression that I just wasted my breath (or keystrokes) as you seem to be so "even" about things, I'd think you have already sussed how Maintenance will be for you.

Hi Vee
Great to see that refeed is agreeing with you! Its funny, you say you never had a problem with an aching bum before, I used to get an aching bum regularly, and that seems to be a less common problem now!

When everyone is talking about Woolies bread, are we talking about the bakery bread or the stuff in the printed bags with all the other breads? We feed our chookies Woolies $1.09 per loaf white bread each day and every time I break it up for them I lust after it!! I so cant wait for bread!

Keep up the good work girl!

Pleased to hear you are travelling well, now you have gotten rid of the evil bread! Good on you for finding the chocs less tempting!

Princess sunbeam its that woolies bread in the plain wrapper that they make themselves, so many people say they are allergic to wheat these days but I wonder how many are just actually reacting to the preservatives!

Ha ha, Vee, now your bones are complaining because you took the protection away!!! imagine few kg less - you wouldn't even be able to sit down!!!!

I remember last time on diet - when I was lower with weight - I couldnt even sleep on my side long, cuz my hips would hurt.

So, are you saying you are not having 3 whole fruits a day and all the extra fruit, but split half and half?
I realized I did a mistake last time on my refeed, for some reason I was replacing one old fruit with one good fruit...and now I see it says ADD 1 good fruit...so I was gonna have 3 old fruits PLUS 1 new fruit...but I see a lot of people replace one of bad for one of good...

Sooo sooo glad I have you here...

Default Day 6

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 65.0kg

Difference: -100gm

Weight is up 300gm today. Not sure what caused that. Had my Burgen bread at lunch time yesterday. I may try just having my crispbreads today. It could also be the extra fruit I was allowed yesterday.

I was defintely feeling anxious about something last night at home, because after my dinner I was craving something else, anything would have done, but chocolate would have been best! I can't figure out what I was anxious about, but I know I was VERY tired and I needed a good night's sleep.

Thanks for the visits Jo, Koh, Jen, Louise, and Maya!

Jen, Woolies bread is that cheap stuff in the printed bags.

I've got another periodontal appointment today, and it not going to be pleasant!! Not looking forward to it at all! Finally the hormonal headaches have subsided. It only took 3 days!!

Hope you all have a great fat melting day!

Vee

I was looking at my weight graph for Feb, and it is like a mountain range.
Thought I'd put it here, as it is up and down quite a bit.
