DAY 7
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 64.8kg
Total change: - 0.6kg

Can't believe it's day 7 already! Time is going so fast with the program (so how can it be that it feels so slow at work?) and I'm thoroughly enjoying the extra food! Especially the pineapple! It really is at the stage at the moment where I feel truly satisfied, and when I was planning out the last 10 days of refeed today I couldn't help but wonder how I'm going to get through all that food. Oh well, the good Dr knows what he's doing, and it's all been so gradual so far that I doubt my body will have problems adjusting.

Today was much like yesterday, foodwise, just with increases in the existing amounts. I'm meant to increase bread tomorrow, so I'm going to follow my consultant's advice - and Shell and AJs - and get some bread with no preservatives and try a bit of that. I'm not going to be eating huge quantities of it because I just don't like it that much, but I should let my body get used to new things. Or would that be old things, seeing as how I used to eat it BC?

Work was better today too. It could just be that my head is adjusting itself, but the environment felt a lot better and the commute didn't bother me for once. I was just less stressed overal, which was great! Maybe it was because of being back down to 64.8 this morning? It was certainly a nice start to the day.

Thank you so much for stopping by Merryn, Rose, Vee and Jenny!

Merryn - you're a cheeky lady! I have to say though, while they may not be quite as spectacular as yours, I do love the views between Wollongong and Sydney. You'll be joining me in here before you know it too!

The same goes for Jenny and Vee! You guys are so close! Can't wait to do the refeed dance with you!

Rose, thanks heaps for stopping by! I'm glad we're on this journey together, and it's really interesting to see the litte differences in our programs! Good luck for the rest of RF for you too!

Time for bed for a tired little Mette, I think.
Take care of yourselves, and big fat-melting hugs all around!

Hey Mette

You are doing so great, not that that surprises me at all. 7 days did go really quickly.

Take care and be good (yeah right)

So happy to hear that the food is satisfying and that the days on refeed are going quickly! It's funny how the state of our mind can determine how good or bad the commute to work is!! At least you have your Eee PC to play with!! And just keep thinking about the money you are earning!

Glad to hear all is going so great in refeed land and that you are still dropping weight!

Vee

DAY 8
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 64.8kg
Total change: - 0.6kg

No change in the weight overnight, so my body seems to be happy in this weight range. I'd like to be able to do some proper exercise soon, but at the moment there's not enough hours in the day as it is. As Vee said though, thinking of the money coming in!

I did my weekly grocery shopping and cooked my lunches for the week today. My god, there's a lot of food there now! And I took the plunge and tried some new bread today. It was the Burgen rye bread, and I haven't had any ramifications from it. Happy with that! Still not going to be incorporating a lot of bread into my diet in the future, but as you guys and my consultant have pointed out, refeed is a time for the body to readjust to the new foods. So that, along with more increases in my quantities have been the new additions for the day! I get to have a 'bad' fruit tomorrow, which will be interesting.

We went to a retirement party for one of Keith's workmates tonight. I don't like being the 'odd one out' who doesn't eat when it's around strangers. And the restaurant didn't even have any diet coke, which usually gets me through nights like that. Oh well, I got through it, and the food really didn't tempt me, although the prawn cocktail entree looked pretty good. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future to have a restaurant meal. The important thing is to focus on finishing refeed!

Thank you so kuch for dropping by Jo, AJ, Kay and Vee, and anyone else reading this! Just think... Only 10 more days until the next stage of the journey - the rest of my life. So glad you guys are here to share it with me! Big hugs to you all!

Meals out when you are in refeed are mentally the most difficult of all, Mette. You've finished losing weight, but you can't yet eat what others are eating. Well done on getting through the meal.

it's exciting to read about how your body is adjusting to the reintroduction of food. i've got a long way to go before i get to refeed but it's good to know that it works!

DAY 9
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 64.8kg
Total change: - 0.6kg

Weight is holding steady, although my scales decided to give me a heart attack this morning, where the first reading said 65.8!! The next two said 64.8 though, so I'm hoping it was just a glitch.

I have spent a wonderful, relaxing day with Keith, just what I needed. Ready to face another week, and at the end of that week, there will only be 20 more commuting days left And my lunches are ready to go, and my fruit and everything else is organised. Makes it nice and easy for the week, and the meat for my dinners is divided into bags so it's ready when I get home. Nothing much to report Cohens wise apart from switching a good fruit with a bad fruit today. Bit of a change which was nice. Very satisfied with my quantities!

Thank you for stopping by AJ, DD and CC! Your support is really appreciated!
Take care, everyone! Big fat melting hugs to you all!

Nothing like a bit of relaxing to cause the body to release fat, Mette. You might find you have lost a bit more tomorrow.

DAY 10
Starting weight: 65.4kg
Today's weight: 65.2kg
Total change: - 0.2kg

Up 400 grams this morning. Again fluctuating within that 400 gram range. Was meant to up my bread intake today, but replaced it with crispbread instead. My body is happy with just the 1 slice. Still very happy and satisfied!

Nothing exciting to report today. Only 24 times left to do the commute! It'll go fast! And only 8 more days left on refeed. It'll be good to have it over with so I can make simpler meals. The whole ensuring there is the right amount of the different meats in the bag... well, it's just easier to stick with one kind of meat per meal when time is so limited.

Thank you so much for stopping by Louise, AJ, Vee and LiLi, and anyone else reading this. Hope you all have a fantabulous week! I'm off to bed. 4 more early starts this week before another wonderful weekend with Keith

Mette, you're doing great!!!!
Sorry it's so busy for you, just during the refeed...and good job with all the organization! It is kind of weird preparing all of it, but once you have it tak-tak-tak handy, is just sooo great, isn't it?
Keep thinking about the weekend and the week will just fly by!!!!!
Hugs and kisses,

Maya

Mette, I can relate to your busy life through refeed, as I had the same problem. Refeed really needs to be relaxing time, as you've found, but sometimes life intervenes. Congratulations on how well you are managing it.

Good on you for getting through the work function without mishaps. I had a dinner tonight which was cancelled due to the flooding, Im quite happy not to have to deal with it for a change. I didnt miss the bread that much but might I say it makes a nice change to be ablt to put some of my lunch on a nice fresh slice of bread, I was getting a bit bored with the diet. It sounds like you refeed is a bit longer than mine, I have a 16 day program.

Have a great week and a lovely weekend with Keith

Looks like refeed agrees with you Mette. Not long to go now and you will be done, yippeeeeeeeee

Counting down the commutes, doesn't that just remind you of how much longer you are going to be punishing yourself. Close your eyes and think of the money.

Take care honey
