Hi all

just back from a wonderful meeting with the Perth crew. It was lovely seeing you all, and Sandy, we missed you!

Yesterday I had made some lovely savory muffins with parmesan cheese and fresh herbs, and I couldn't resit, had two of them over dinner, felt lovely full for the first time in a while, but despite not having any cracker al day, I guess it's not on the list, haha. So this morning was 60.5 again (after 60.2 the day before). Doesn't worry me, have resigned myself to the fate that it's gonna still take a while and that I can only bear it if I do deviate once in a while or a little very day (don't get me wrong, the two muffind (small, but...) don't qualify as 'a little').

If it takes 2 months to lose the rest on my tummy, so be it.

Pandora, I had 2 de-caf shot of espresso yesterday, and didn't go to sleep til I don't know, very late, so very tired today. Might take a while to get it out of my system, or it's not the cause for my sleeplessness. Will give it a week. Had one normal espresso this morning, then a de-caf with the girls, and just another de-caf with my husband. Gotta stay awake for the Muse concert tonight, yeah/ Mustn't forget my earplugs, got really sensitive ears.

For lunch, I was out and un-prepared, so had a iceberg lettuce salad with some tomato and onion without dressing and a few pieces of chicken at Chicken Treat or one of those. Chicken you could search for with a magnifying glass, so when I got home, I found I had some 32 gr of chicken mince frozen, so added that. Man, the salad was so tasteless. Taking my own food to the concert, as can't eat before 730 which is when it starts.

Hope to have a downwards trend on the scales again tomorrow, though. Debs mentioned these gorgeous crackers which are Cohens approved, called Provita, from South Africa, I bought them today after she told me that IGA had them in the special food section and they are sooooooo yumm, like Granita or Granola or whatever they are called here, a bit crumbly and more chewly than the good old saladas. What a joy!

Will go and read others' diaries now before I make my self presentable.

Cheers

Katrin

Happy Sunday Katrin
Sounds like its NOT the caffeine thats keeping you awake! I so want to try thos Pro-Vita crackers, have only tried Woolies here and they dont have them. Cant think where i last saw an IGA around here? I will be on the lookout.

I have written in my diary re yr idea to have the occasional "planned" deviation. I know others will disagree, but we are both at goal weight (you are under) and a few extra weeks of 99%-100% days may even give us extra insurance to keep at no more than this current weight and we might have flat abs! I know we shouldnt exercise but what about a few sit ups every day, surely thats just lying on the floor and bending a little! Gotta get in the shower and get ready for church! Back later, how was yr weight this morning after yr muffins, they do sound yummy be the way! P

60.5 on the day after the muffins (plural...) and again today, not a surprise, cos after the Muse concert (at least I didn't eat any of the crap there) I had a chicken, salad, thin mountain bread kebab at about midnight. Well, at least kept me from eating during the night.

yeah, I'll read your post re the deviations. I am still torn between trying to stick 100% and not. Must be the general group pressure, of maybe they are - with Dr. Cohens - right. There is just no way I can continue if I don't have the odd deviation, or even a daily one, but was planning on being good today.

De-caf this morning, now out to buy food for real hamburgers for the two men, and a Cohens burger for myself for dinner. Some fruit for desert.

After a shocking night, I'll go to bed again at 8 at the latest, or may try a nap. 30 degress here in Perth today.

Katrin

What a lovely day I had. I did the best thing, and that is invest in a coffee bean grinder, and some lovely decaf coffee beans and that made in the stove top at home is just the best espresso and makes me feel less coffee deprived. With this one, I can't taste the difference!

Also, made the Cohens Supreme Burger ala Debs, yumm, that was so good!!!! Made 'proper' burgers for the husband and son, and they were eying mine, haha. For desert, they each had a big slice of cheesecake with passion fruit. I cut myself a slither (really thin) and then had two spoons, and gave the rest to them to finish, so two tiny spoonfuls of most delicious deviation. Then a cup of decaf espresso, just the smell when you grind the beans, most amazing!. And my allowance of mango.

Loads of water, too. Feeling a bit tired now and thinking about having a (very) early night.

See you all tomorrow.

Katrin

60.2 again. Deviation free yesterday, which was good. Another nice hot day in Perth, and I am looking forward to it. Feeling full of energy, and just came back from a morning run, followed by my plain yogurt, which I have grown so fond of, also to top up the proteins. Feeling like I could plant trees, very energetic.

I'll report if I ran out of steam half-way through the day! Might be due to a boring meeting I have at 130 to 400, which I have to sit through, followed (cos the last of these this academic year) by cheese and crackers (which I will stay well away from, just take my own cracker the delicious South African Provitas) and a mango, that should do me.

Talking of the Provitas: I reckon if I spread some Ricotta across, nu fuss, and top it with slices of mango it would be the best mango cheesecake. I'll try that out sometime.

Cheers

Katrin

I'm thrilled, I was 59.7 this morning! Yeah, I really can't remember the last time I was that weight. Must have been at 14 or so..... And that despite deviating a tiny bit on the meat for dinner yesterday, ie a bit more and also mixed proteins, bad girl. I guess I'll have a few days of bouncing back to the 60s this week, but hey, who cares, I can't believe I actually achieved this goal.

When I stood on the scales, I thought this must be someone else's weight, it's weird how the mind just doesn't follow the body....

I will have a lovely day, it's such a great feeling. Not feeling overly hungry either, so still good. Working on turning the last fat-fold into a skin-fold!

Sezi
Cohen's calculated the goal weight at 62 to 65. However, I want to loose some more, so without having a pre-set target, I want to stand in front of my mirror naked and think: awesome! Not quite there yet, but working on it.

BTW, Sezi, I've seen you've lost an enormous amount of weight in such little time. Youve been on it same time as me, and have lost more than 3 times what I lost. That is absolutely amazing, keep up the good work.

Just being realistic, as over the last few weeks my weight has been bouncing around about 300 gr between days, so whilst I have re-set the ticker to reflect the new weight, I know I will only ever be able to say that I'm a 50s girl when after re-feed I am sitting comfortably below 60. It dosn't change my perception of myself, though, I am proud as Larry!

But I'll drink the Pellegrino anyway

Woohoo, you've seen the 50's You may bounce but your body's seen those numbers now so there's no denying that you will be a 50's chick again. Well done Katrin. Proud of you!

Thanks, magenta. Yeah, it's good to know that I'm a 50s chick, even if very top. Also, I am glad I didn't stop at the lower Cohen's range of 62, as I know I will look best at about 57 or 58.

I'm stuffed, had a take away salad (only Cohens stuff, but only weighed it with my eyes, so might have been a bit over) and brought my own tuna. Delicious! And actually, it's rather nice to feel stuffed again, not the yucky greasy stuffed, just nicely full of good and healthy food.

Hi all

59.4 this morning, man, this is a good stretch!

Annie, despite being under the Cohens target of 62 to 65, I am still on the program. I am not 100% strict all days, but most, and think that I know that the weight I will be happy with is still to come. I am enjoying my Cohens food and the odd deviation. I just never ever want to have to lose weight again, which is why I'm aiming a bit lower.

I don't recommend that generally, and my consultant knows about it, too.

Yeah, I'm a 50s girl!

Katrin

Wow Katrin
That was a quick and more sudden drop! Over 60kg 2 days ago and puff almost another kilo gone, you go girl! And gives me faith that there is hope for me yet. Took yr advice and did my cms and 11cms since clinic visit 13 days ago! That explains the loose clothes and me feeling slimmer. I will email you shortly about some more personal stuff. You so deserve this success! Still not seeing yr pic here but sure its not far away, will check in the before & afters now! P

Hi all

just another addition (which I have also put on Pandora's diary): my husband, who's a maths teacher, calculated how much surface area I've lost based on the height and weight and all that stuff (don't ask me how) and it's 41 cms times 41 cms, that's a large surface = skin. And there is still more to go, as I have noticed over the last few days that there is more loose skin around that a few days ago, in other words, that skin will shrink into me and I'll lose some more.

Cheers

Katrin

59.1, I can't believe what's happening at the moment, as I deviate every day at the moment. Again, not the worst deviations, but as we all know, a deviation is a deviation.

But I am THRILLED!

Hi magenta

thanks for the nice words. Once I'm done, I might post a before and after shot in the photo section. I wish I had a bikini shot from before, but I don't know that I do. But I want to get my husband to take one once I'm where I want to be. Yeah, nearly time to move my ticker along again!

So wrapped to hear you are now almost 58kg! Such a sudden and dramatic drop but you have worked hard for it! Savour the moment in true French style! Pandora
