well done to you Suzie for only sniffing !!
Baking is the worst thing to have to do, especially as we can only sniff.
Thinking of you with your Dad surgery, hopefully it happens soon and you can have a great xmas together.

Hope your new scales give you a nice surprise still.
Keep smiling & happy days

I'm sorry, I just got that image of you with a choc chip cookie stuck up your nose! Imagine having to explain that to the doctor! "I was just smelling it, honest!"

Shame about the scales. It would have been so cool to all of a sudden be 3.5 kilos lighter! You'll get there soon enough, though! Keep up the great work, Suzie!

Default Week 19 Day 1

WOOOOOT??? 54kg this morning, that's a loss of 1.8kg and 3cm this week !!!

I'm a very happy camper at the moment, wasn't expecting such a big drop. I actually expected that my cm loss would be more this week and the kg loss less but you know what I'LL TAKE IT!!

Can't stop long, got heaps to do so I'll have a quick peek at a couple of diaries and come back on this arvo.

Have a skinny day everyone.

Suzie

Ooohhh there is a lot of dancing going on in my diary today very nice. Thanks for the well wishes Mette, Tara and Louise.

Tara I already have my refeed, I picked it up last week and have been holding on to it. The clinic said I have 6 weeks to start it so plenty of time. I'm a bit up in the air as to when I will start exactly, ultimately I would like to be 52kg when I start refeed and if I want to be finished refeed by Chrissy I would have to start on 5/12 which isn't far away - I don't know if I will lose another 2kg in 8 days....seems a very big ask.

But if I wait any longer to start refeed I will be doing it over Chrissy which I am not thrilled with to be honest. I'll just take it a day at a time and see how I go, Christmas does come every year so just got to tell myself I'm not really missing out . I know that I will cop a lot of flack from family if I am still on Cohens at Chrissy, they just won't understand when I'm at 52kg why I can't indulge a little on Chrissy day, they'll probably think I have developed an eating disorder or something , they are very good at being dramatic. Anyhoo, I'll deal with it all as it happens.

Must go get dinner for the kids.

Take it easy all.

Suzie

Doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks, Suzie. What's important is that you start refeed when you feel ready for it. I know I for one will have a Cohens Christmas, but with 30 people in the house, I'm hoping nobody notices that I'm not stuffing my face.
Take care, pretty lady!

Default Week 19 Day 3

Getting closer!! 53.4kg this morning .

I tried on the new white cargo pants I bought a couple of weeks back, they are a TEENY size 8 and they still are tight around my bum and thighs. All my other size 8's are quite loose but not these suckers...they are such a small make. My goal is to get into them and wear them on Christmas day, I think when I hit 52kg they should fit nicely.

Have a busy day ahead of me so can't stop long. Just wanted to check in quickly.

Take it easy.

Suzie

Hi suzie, refeed very shortly, that is very exciting, its sounds like your plan of refeed done by christmas is doable. I know you want to get downt o 52kgs, but dont forget that most seem to lose a bit more weigh on refeed, Anyway whatever you decide I suspect you will be looking fantastic on christmas day!

Hi Suzie,

1.4Kg in 6 days is sounding better than 2Kg in 8 days. May it continue in that way (but it's que sera sera really...).

Give yourself the best chances possible by getting early nights, staying happy, and chugging that water. Exciting times, Suzie - excitement can work in your favour too, so don't hold back (keep that seratonin doing it's thing). Have a nanna nap or two as well - can't hurt !!

You CAN be done and dusted in time for Xmas - it's line ball, so continue to hang tough to give you the best chance possible,

Koh

Thanks for the encouragement Koh and Louise. Louise, yes I may lose more on refeed but I don't really want to rely on that and be disappointed if I don't lose so I'll try and start at 52kg.

Koh, yes the scales have been nice to me lately which I am loving. I did have a little nanna nap today, just a rest not a sleep but twas nice.

I woke up this morning with a yucky throat, have lost my voice a bit, hoping it goes away soon and doesn't get worse. And my food scales have packed it in!! They are only a few months old and I just put a new battery in a week ago so I don't know what that's about. I've had to resort to my old scales that aren't digital and measure in 25g increments . I really need to get new food scales tomorrow, don't want to stuff around with my refeed weights.

I've been thinking about chocolate at times today.....so close but yet so far . I bought some cherry liqueur chocs for chrissy (I buy stuff every week and put it away) and they have been calling my name. But I know they aren't going to grow legs and walk away so they can wait. I haven't felt any real hunger approaching refeed but I have been thinking about chocolate quite a bit.

I'm off to check out some diaries.

Seeya

Hi Suzie!

So close for you now! Hope you are feeling better soon, as that throat etc is not sounding too good! Your drops in the last 6 days are terrific! Well done! At that rate you will be where you want to be in no time!

Hi suzie, how exciting to have your refeed and to be only 1.4kgs away, i can understand you not wantint to start refeed too early and not lose the maximum weight, I have similar feelings. I just have to figure out my starting weight, as long as I dont get really hungry first. It is nice to know that you can have some treats for christmas!

Default Week 19 Day 4

Well I have completely lost my voice this morning, not sick just lost my voice. Hoping it doesn't last too long.

No weight change today. I tried on my white pants again today, I was hesitant as didn't want to be bummed if they didn't fit yet but....drum roll please..........they fit quite nicely so I must have dropped some cm's!

My thoughts have been quite scattered of late, I think reaching the end is freaking me out a bit, yes I have been hanging out for it but it's also a little scarey. Today I was just trying to sort out what weight I would like to maintain at when I finish this as weight does fluctuate obviously. I am thinking between 52-54kg, once I hit the 54kg mark it will be time for strict Cohens diet until I'm back to 52kg. I just really need to set clear goals and limits for myself so there is no room for the weight to creep up, that thought scares me. At 54kg I am fitting into all of my size 8 clothes, even the smaller makes and at 52kg they will still all fit very nicely so that is where I want to be and that is where I WILL stay!

I saw a lady yesterday who I know did Cohens and lost quite a bit of weight and it appears most of it has come back to her, I said to hubby "I will not let that happen to me, I have come to far for that and am never going back!"

Must go make dinner etc etc.

Suzie

Sorry your are voiceless at the moment! Kids probably are not!! LOL

I think that as you have set quite clear goals and strategies for yourself, you will not return to the situation where all your weight piles back on. You have learnt so much on this program and you have realised that you could not go back to your old eating patterns. So long as you remain as vigilant as you intend to, you have nothing to worry about!

It is indeed rather scarey to leave the strict structure of the program and venture into the unknown territory of refeed and maintenance! I think many of us somewhat freaked out by it! The main thing is not to let it overwhelm you, yes, it is a new challenge, and yes, you can handle it, after all, you handled starting the Cohen journey and continuing with it successfully!
We all have faith in you!

It must be very exciting to be so close!!

I'm sorry you lost your voice, Suzie! Hopefully you'll be better soon!

You're right, you will never let the weight get back on! You've come too far and done too well to let that happen!

Hope you have a great week, pretty lady! Not much longer till the magic 52!

Hi Suzie...
Just popping to say Hi, as you've been so kind and dropping in to my diary of late!
We are leading parallel lives I think... Not only do we both have 1.4kgs to lose, and are looking forward(?) to refeed on Friday <brought mine forward a day>, BUT I also lost my voice over the weekend! How weird. I'm not sick either, just have a sexy squeak whenever I open my mouth!!

I'm not sure whether I'll start a refeed diary yet, I'm kinda wondering if I might like to just fly below the radar on this, and get it done quietly at home and in my own headspace - rather than sharing every detail in cyberspace... Anyway, I am very indecisive at the moment (and bloody hungry too!!).
Good luck with the rest of the week, and don't stress too much re losing the rest before you start refeed. I think if it's meant to come off, then it will continue to do so through refeed anyway. Otherwise, your body will decide for you where it's meant to be.
Good luck!
Ruby
