Hi there

Well what a great start to my birthday - down 200grams. I am so pleased as I really wanted to be 55 point something to go to the surgeon next Thursday and it sure looks like I will be....

Hubby comes home from nz tonight after a week away - we have all missed him, and two of my lovely girlfriends (whose hubby's are away with mine) are coming for birthday dinner before the boys get home.

My beautiful children have little surprise presents for me so I can't wait for them to get out of bed...

Went and had my laser hair removal second treatment yesterday and that is going better than I expected.

SO all is good in our house,

cheers

I hope you had a great birthday, losing, and that it's still going on. We're all wanting to know what's in the presents now. What better way to start it than a good reading on the scales!

Hi everyone

Thanks for the birthday wishes. My beautiful kids got me a pair of shorts and shirt (they are from the kids range at Pumpkin patch - And they fit!!!!!). My girlfriend had a hand in sneaking them in so the kids had something, but my little girl who is six also gave me one of her favourite bears that she wrapped in her swimming bag. It is sitting on my bed. SHe is so sweet.
THen hubby got home with a bottle of scotch, some earrings and socks and two little hens (I love my chooks) - and pressies for the kids.

Had a really good night.

Jen2008 - Laser hair removal is the second best thing I have done for my body in years (first being cohens of course). It does hurt a bit but not so that you can't cope, And as soon as it is finished there is no rash and the hair grows and two weeks later it all falls out. IT is without a doubt doing wonderful things for my self esteem and appearance, and I look forward to every treatment (I will need about 8-10 and they are 6 weeks apart). Cost wise about $200 per go for bikini and underarms, but that is not even a consideration given the freedom and outlook it is giving me. I bought a sexy sleeveless dress to wear to Phantom of the Opera, and I haven't worn sleeveless in 20 years.

Hi

Thanks for the birthday message COnnie - I am starting to get a little nervous but it will all be good.......

Have woken up this morning with a very sore throat and not much sleep due to my daughter who has a tummy ache - no movement on the scales which is no surprise.

Have a great day

hi Losing it,

well done on your weight loss journey just wanted to ask you the following-please excuse me if youve written this before-but are you following the cohens food program eg weighing etc?its just that ive noticed you are doing such an impressive amount of exercise so wasnt sure if you were still on your iniital program?and if not are you eating all/mostly cohens food?or are you having treats as well-i ask this because you mention you are running and when i was running if i was eating limited amounts of protein/veg mostly the kgs just fell off me?but then again you are very slim and dont have so much to lose so have you increased your calories to accomadate for your increase in exercise?

thanks,Monique

Hi Monique

Its funny that you ask because I just finished a run. I haven't run in a little while - not really sure why but I feel really good for doing it.

When I lost 27 kilos on Cohens I was super strict and never deviated, and never excercised. I am weighing my food again and am slightly less strict e.g. I went to Outback Spectacular and ate what was on the menu. I don't sweat it as 95% of the time I am on weighed food,it all catches up with itseld.

When I run if I feel like I need an extra piece of fruit that day I have it -

I watch the biggest loser and see what they do on such limited calories and think so can I - however if I was at the start of cohens again today - I wouldn't change anything and wouldn't exercise. IT is so much better to wait until your heart can take it.

Now I just can't wait to get rid of the tummy that flops when I run - and feel like I'm in the skin that was meant for me.

What stage are you at Monique/

AJ you are always so lovely and I love having you pop into my diary - I will definately update you of how the visit goes on Thursday.

Have a good night

Sharon

Gosh there is only 2 days til I see the surgeon -

Funny I don't dream about it as much as I used to. But there is only 79 days to go so soon I will have to change my dairy to 2 months to go -

No change on scales - infact went up a 300g = fluctuation.

Have a great day

Sharon

Hi there

Ok so it is 4.45am and today is the day I go to meet with the doctor. Obviously couldn't sleep so have gotten up to do the washing.

I went and saw my girlfriend who he operated on 8 months ago and she showed me her scars - you could barely see them. Really happy I went cos she gave me a heads up on what to expect today and some questions to ask as well.

Feeling confident, informed and ready for what lies ahead - although also not keen on the recovery, but hey, it is part of it and I am trying to look at the big picture,

Ok I am off to do some washing -

Cheers

Hi there

I am excited - he is lovely, and very down to earth. I feel very safe - he showed me his work and told me of how many complications he has had in the last ten years.

I am getting 250cc round gel implants behind the muscle and a breast lift with a reduction in the size of the nipple. Also he is removing more skin than you can imagine from my belly. About 1-2 kilos worth. He said I will be a c cup and have a small waist and tummy like it should be. He was very impressed with our program and thought it was good that I am seeing it through to the end that I want. Hubby thought he was great and is very supportive.

So I go back and see him in 9 weeks and the operation is in 10 weeks and 6 days.

It feels real now and I am not nervous at all - YET!!

Have a good one

Sharon
