My God Vee, look how you're still dropping weight!!!! You're gonna shrink away, lady!!!!

I can't believe you wrote about the books! Yesterday on the walk I was thinking...hm...I wonder if she got them????
See - no distance is big enough for our thoughts!!!!!
I am sooo happy you're gonna get them!!!!!

I'm going to her workshop next weekend, am soooo excited!

Wow, chicken sandwich - you got me thinking about that . I had some pineapple with yogurt yesterday (put half ricecake in a bowl and spread nonfat green yogurt over it, then 120 g pineapple and mix it, put it in fridge and when I came from a walk...mmmm...I also put the other half of ricecake on it, so it's a little crunchier...Mamma mia!)

You are so right about the quality over quantity - here is where the French women don't get fat - approach comes handy. To savour all the food, enjoy in it, even close your eyes, be sexy when you eat ... there was once discussion about this with Katrin ... When I was in France - I was amazed how they make amazing looking meals from nothing. We were visiting one guy, I swear - his fridge was empty...but when he came home, he made this incredible looking sandwiches...I was like...where did he get all this?!?!?!
But it was all just the presentation.
Big candles on the table, nice music, nice plates and it all looked soooo yumm!

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE bread and meat together...The mixture is just so amazing. I might try the chicken sandwich, too, when I get to have 2 breads.

Vee, I am sooooo glad you're doing so amazingly well. I trully am.
Please stay up here even when you're on maintnence, will you... please?

Default Day 9

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 63.6kg
Difference: -1.5kg

Scales were down again this morning! Wow, love this! I had a bit of a sleep in today, so was up later and had brekkie later. That always helps with a drop on the scales (the getting up later bit).

I had the most divine brekkie! Egg omelette with veggies (onion, capsicum and tomato) with a slice of bread, lightly toasted! It was sooooo good! Very filling and satisfying. (Sorry Jen, no bacon on refeed, but plenty of other good choices!).

I've got to have 2 bad fruits today, so going with a small banana and some more strawberries. I have to say, I'm loving my fruits! (I may have said this before, but I'm really enjoying them).

Refeed is getting more complicated over the next week with adding in new proteins and new veg so it's going to take a fair bit of planning to make sure I get it all right!

I just realised, today I'm exactly halfway through refeed!

Maya, I haven't had much chance to get into the books and CDs yet, only token flicking through so far. I'll listen to the cds on the train this week going to and from work! I'm so excited! You are so lucky to be going to one of her workshops! Don't worry, I don't plan to leave the forum that quick, I think I'll be needing it even when I get to maintenance!

Thanks also for dropping in Mette and Jen! Yes, Mette, I know I need to acknowledge my achievements, and I do, maybe not with as much fanfare as I should do!

Thanks Jen, you have this all to look forward to, and you are not so far away now! Look at how well you have done and are doing, with all your challenges!

Keep well everyone!

Vee

Having a rest day today & finally catching up with some diaries. Have been reading your refeed with great interest. I admire how you are coping with all you have been through & still going great guns......................
By the end of your diary, you had me dribbling, pineapple, bananas, strawberries. Interesting the chocolate didn't have the same effect, but not having more dairy now that's a B-----, do miss the yoghurt.....
Has your tiredness subsided??
Vee you should be really proud of yourself, I am & plan to watch your diary to learn more about refeed & your journey.
Blessings
Joroma

Good afternoon Vee, half way through refeed thats fantastic and it sounds like your loving it all and have come to a good place.

I think planning is the key anyhow and refeed sounds so good with the extra's...
Okay tell me salmon fish is that on refeed???

Great to see the body is still doing what it needs to do with weightloss also for you.

Im so happy for you... My husband was very impressed with your transformation when I showed him your pics.

You are such a legend Vee , it's amazing that you have any fat left to drop off, but it is still coming off, I am gobsmacked.

I was nearly drooling too just reading what you are eating. Chicken salad sandwiches and strawberries.....................OMG heaven.

I'll bet you were feeling pretty special after that meeting with the Doctor. I can't wait to rub it in my doctors face.......she said it was "Faddy" hahahaha I will show her.

Take care hon, try not to lose too much more, you will disappear in a puff of calcium dust

Time goes so fast, doesn't it? One day you're starting refeed and before you know it, it's over! I'm so impressed that you're still dropping weight! Doing so well!
I hear ya with the fruit! And the increased quantities! Even eating Cohens friendly now there's a lot more choice, and it's so satisfying!
Keep up the great work!

The food was so satisfying again today! I'm totally loving this refeed!
Yes, there are still things that are tempting to me, but the pull is not so strong when you are feeling more satisfied!

I'm mixing my proteins now, added fish to my cheese meal and it also means I don't have to follow the 5 hour rule anymore! Funny that, I still can't help counting the hours to make sure 5 hours has passed. I actually made it a bit shorter between breakfast and lunch, about 4 hours just to see if it makes a difference!

I had a banana today as my bad fruit, and I had it with 3 CBs. It was really satisfying. I only had one slice of the 3 I'm allowed today! I replaced the other 2 with CBs.

I must admit, this bringing in of new proteins has me a bit flummoxed, just adding it in with the old protein seems rather strange. Oh well, not to worry, will just do whatever needs doing.

Thanks for the visits Jenny, Joroma, Maria, Jo, Koh and Mette!

Maria, you can have fresh salmon on refeed as a new protein that gets introduced. Which means you probably won't get that salmon steak you are hankering after until nearly the end of refeed, but if it's just the taste you are after, possibly somewhere half way through the program you can start introducing it, depending on the length of your refeed!

Jo, I still have a fair bit of fat that I could part with, but I guess it doesn't want to part with me! Perhaps as I get back into exercise I can persuade it to disperse and make room for more muscle!?

Koh, is exactly how I feel! With a big at the end of the day!

Mette, I'm amazed that the kgs are still dropping, but very happy at the same time! It would still be really really nice to get to the lower goal range.

Hope you all have a fab week this coming, brand new week!

Vee

Vee good morning,
Sounds like to me if you stick to the plan its all about slowly introducing the foods to get your body used to it and that if you do just that you will be more satisfied..
I know as I have been around many bodybuilders in my life time that the problem is they set a goal get to compete and then dont have any goals afterwards and doing refeed is exactly how I usually encourage them after a competition otherwise their bodies just blow out with the excess food they are not used to.

Its been fantastic to be able to watch yourself and the likes of Mette who have been supporting my diary also get through it with confidence. (Im not saying that it would be easier, just another stage for us at refeed I suppose.)
I cant wait to get to refeed as Im mentally prepared for that stage now. Ive got over the fear of failure as I have pushed through some barriers cause of beautiful people like you willing to take the time to share and contribute to each of us.

Have a great day...

Default Day 10

Starting weight: 65.1kg
Today's weight: 63.8kg

Difference: -1.3kg

So this morning my weight was up 200gm. I'm ok with that. It's amazing all I'm eating, it feels like it should go up 2kgs!!!

Today is a big day for adding in quite a few extras!
I get to add myfirst New Protein, I get to add milk and I get to add extra carbs like pasta/rice/pumpkin/corn etc. It's only a small amount, but add that to all the bread etc I'm able to have, and that is quite a lot of carbs in a day!

I have to say, I'm starting to feel restless about doing some exercise. I want to and I don't want to. I know my old patterns regarding the exercise is going to resurface and I really don't want to give them any control. I'm still happy to wait until I'm finished my programme and look at starting then. But it will have to be a gradual build up!

Thanks for the visits Fi and Maria!
Maria, I have no doubt that you could handle refeed, no problems! You have learnt so much about yourself in the short time you have been on the programme and you have also made such amazing discoveries as well as done a lot of hard work on yourself! You will get there and you will love it!!

Have a fab day everyone!

Vee

Hey Vee

It was so good to catch up with you today, you truly are looking great. You are such an inspiration to the rest of us, almost a year on Cohen's and 53kg gone OMG. I would have gone mental but I know you are proud of yourself and so you should be.

I bet you felt great today wagging work, just a little bit. And I felt great not standing in front of that stupid ironing board I got some done, and that is better than nothing right??

Take care and we will catch up again soon

Weight was back down again 200g today, even after I had to stuff myself so full of food yesterday, especially yesterday evening, I thought I was going to burst!

I think Shell's theory of you having to eat more to lose the weight has a lot of merit!

The problem with eating more though, is that you need a lot more time to eat it as well!

I didn't have the milk yesterday, I might give it a try this evening! in a nice cup of coffee. Today I have to increase my new protein as well.

Yesterday met the lovely Jo (Snugglebear), she is looking totally fantastic!!! Time flew by way too quickly!!

Thanks for dropping in Tiina, Maya, Jo, Yeti and Liddie!

Have to dash to work now!

Have a fab fat melting day everyone!

Vee
