Asy, you are so incredible and your weight loss is so inspiring. You are one of the reasons why I know I can do this. Won't be long at all until you reach your goal - absolutely fantastic. You may have to buy a big stick though to beat off those admiring men!! Can't wait for those admiring glances myself.

Asy,

You should seriously consider getting that car via promotion of your weight loss.

Maybe the people behind Cohens are looking for a spokesperson? And as you are aware via our PMs, the website only compliments the deal.

Think like the business women you are. They pay you a nominal $ to travel to promote Cohens. To travel you need a car so they lease one for you with a buy back option after the lease.

Even New Idea , etc.. would be interested and probably pay $5k or more. An expert agent like Mark Markson (of Markson Sparks) could get you the best deal. Probably with follow ups. And you will be helping others big girls and guys like you were, to realise they are not trapped.

You probably have Wedding or Horse video of you at your largest. Compare that to now? Great for TV.

Lastly, you are a good speaker who exudes honesty and down to earth and (n all due respect) look like the average mum so people will relate to you.

Case in Point: Yesterday I saw a weight loss ad for X ( I cannot remember) and the 50ish women was saying I lost XXX with the help of my consultant. The consultant with size 10, tall, 20 something, attractive blonde. Someone got the marketing WRONG. It would only scare most overweight persons. If they wanted to attract guys they were on the right thing. My wife agreed.

So think about it. And great new about the pick up. Tell the better half to keep him on his toes!

Peter

PS thanks for the post to cheer me up after my disaster yesterday.

I agree asy. As we all know weight loss is a multi billion dollar industry and we have all contributed in some form. Almost every week there is a photo od someone who had lost stacks of weight either on New Idea, Womans Day, Womans Weekly etc. Or even get the "Slimming" magazine (I think that is what it is called), one of them is sure to pick you up. All they want to do is sell magazines............ a seing you would definately do that.

Must admit, I've been giggling at one of the other weight loss ads recently...

"I've lost 45kg in 56 weeks" (or something thereabouts...)

I laugh at them.

I've lost 80kg in 36 weeks (or thereabouts).

I know which one of us got the better end of THAT deal!

Just another roughly 12kg to go.

Can't wait.

Oh, and, seriously, if anyone has any media savvy and wants to give me a hand, please let me know. I really do need a car.
(I don't want much, really nice 4x4 would be good. I don't need a merc or anything exciting. )

asy

By the way, My other half's not in any danger. He's the most amazingly magnificent man I've ever met, and I'd never look anywhere else. The grass is quite green enough on my side of the fence!!!

Min-boggling to read these words. I had to read this a few times to comprehend. You must feel so much better with your health let alone how you look and dress.

You should enter the Slimming and Health magazine Slimmer of the Year competition. They don't have a car as a prize but you can get a makeover and this year they are offering new kitchen appliances to the value of $5,500, a weekend away and other prizes. You would have a good chance of winning.

Well, I can't sleep.

It's nearly 4am, I've hung the washing out, but I can't sleep.

This won't be doing my weight loss any good

I'll sit here and design a dog kennel and do the take off for it so I can cut the timber on the weekend...

Can't wait for the court case to be OVER.

Asy. I too have had a chuckle at the ads. The boys keep asking me "how long did it take you to lose " however much. It is a laugh and I agree we definately got the better deal. 80kg in 36 weeks, you really are my pin up girl as far as inspiration and determination ( and I mean that in the nicest possible way ).

You're strength and determination will get you through the court case too. Whilst I'm sure the stress of waiting and the not knowing what the eventual result will be I can't help but feel that all will go well for you and the kids. It just feels right that you all deserve the opportunity to move on and the area where the farm is, is so nice I can't help but feel a little (ok, a lot) envious. We have friends further south, down near Maclean, they are on the Clarence River and the area has been a place of relaxation and healing at times that I was tempted to move there at one stage.

Keep up the great work, both with Cohen's and the court case.

Lauren

Thanks guys,

Still not sleeping very well, but 3am last night instead of 5, so not too bad...

Am putting up fences today so hopefully it'll keep my mind off things...

A week and a half to go.

I'm looking forward to it being over, even though I really should be going for an adjournment on account of the fact that I have a new solicitor, the old one was shocking, and my case really isn't prepared properly... I don't want to because I want it done with.

I can't imagine what it's like to go through the stress of your situation, but don't rush into things because you want it over with (easy for me to say, I kinow...). You will want to have your case prepared so there are no hitches with it. If it needs another adjournment, then maybe consider it. You need to be as prepared as you can.....good luck with it all.

Try to have a camomile tea before you go to bed, it may help to relax and calm you or put some lavender drops on your pillow, I read somewhere it's very calming..

Well, I weighed myself this morning, but only on the house scales, which I know are wrong, they run about 2kg over correct weight (I'll buy some new ones soon, promise), and I weighed 87kg, which means I'm about 85kg...

I'm looking forward to a clinic weigh in on Monday to affirm that I'm under 86kg which makes me officially -80kg. Can't wait.

My next goals are little ones:

<86kg = -80kg lost.

<83kg = HALF my body weight gone.

<80kg = nice round number, and into the '70's

<77kg = Order refeed anytime

75kg = Official end goal.

Even though my 'official' end goal is 73-76kg, but I really don't know what it "should" be.

My height WAS 1.83cm before my back injury, now it's a little less, but the true height is 1.83. So, do I make it 1.83 or 1.80?

My shoe size WAS 13, now it's 12 (as previously mentioned), but do I make it 12 or 13 in the calculator???

At the two extremes, 1.83 and size 13, my goal is: 74-77
At 1.80 and size 12, my goal is: 71-74...

So, My "End weight" could really be anywhere from 71-77kg...

Still, I've discussed this at some length with Sue from the Clinic, and she's explained (very patiently!) about the "hungry enough to eat a horse" thing, so I'll wait until I've woken up two mornings in a row ready to find a horse and eat it.

I'll still order the refeed when I hit 77kg, as that's when it'll be able to be done for me, but I'll hang off starting until the above two mornings.

It sorta feels a little like when you're pregnant and can't wait to find out what you're having... (the parents on the board will know what I mean!)

I just can't WAIT to find out what my end weight will be and what I'll look like!!!

asy

PS: Thanks to anyone who bothered reading my ramblings... I'm a bit mutterry this morning!

On the goal weight, I'd go for 183cm, your true height, and size 12, your true shoe size when you are at a true weight.

Just an aside, do all the clinics weigh people ? Out here, there was no initial weigh in at the clinic nor are there face to face meeting invites.

I have never seen anybody. Have done it all by phone. Although after speaking to Kaz (consultant) the other night I am seriously thinking of making the trek to Geelong to go through the refeed thingy.

Yeah, I was thinking that too...

That puts the weight at 73-76kg, so my 'goal' of 75kg is pretty much perfect.

Will still be interesting to see where it ends up exactly.

Ok, here's a giggle for you all...

I had to drop in to my daughter's school today as she forgot her lunch (as they do...).

Tonight, she came and sat on my knee for a cuddle, and she said it was really funny at school today. I asked why.

She said "All the cool kids are saying you've had Liposuction".

Apparently it's the latest gossip around the grade 6/7 'cool set' (which she's not a part of, she's more the geeky type!).

"Stephanie's mum's had Lipo!"

I thought that was so funny! We sat and had a big long giggle.

asy

PS: I officially hit -80kg yesterday.
