Yeah, sons are about as good as bags of sugar. Hard to leave them on the stairs though.

How wierd. Took the sprog to IKEA this afternoon for an ice-cream and a play in the room sets (!). We're half way round when he announces he wants lunch (it's about 4.30, and he had 3 lots of lunch at nursery) so he has a kiddie meatball portion.

And I am sitting there with my mouth watering desperately craving IKEA meatballs.

I mean WTF? I've happily watched others eating/drinking MUCH nicer things, and then I go and crave IKEA meatballs?

Luckily I had an apple in my bag so I ate that and had a little snigger to myself.

Repeat 3 times: IKEA meatballs do not taste as good as thin will feel!

Funny how it hits you isn't it. Happened to me at the cinema last week, when suddenly popcorn seemed like the most important food on the planet! Outside of those times I wouldn't even think about it. Weird.

Besides, you can make your own Cohen meatballs

Hey FYM!

My best friend had the opposite feeling towards ikea when she was little... a bad experience in the ball pit!!

I have never eaten anything at Ikea...! But my SIL is Norwegian and she LOVES some gravy thing you put on meatballs... maybe it's the same deal. She made it for me for dinner pre-cohens and oh yeh it was delish! Almost like a white sauce taste, but it wasn't white...

Hope your day is treating you well, FYM!

xoxo

Oh we spend HOURS in IKEA. My son loves playing in the room sets, getting into the beds while I read him stories, him making me dinners in the kitchens etc. We get some funny looks, but it's free and air-conditioned so what the hell. Even if you buy a toy and a meal, it's still cheaper than soft-play and can be quite imaginative. Yesterday he decided it was Christmas morning so we kept jumping out of bed and looking for presents!

You sound like a fun mum!! When you get to Perth we have a big IKEA store in Innaloo (people love that suburb name) so your son will get a whole new IKEA experience!

Already been there! Not that I'm some kind of nerdy IKEA-collector, you understand, but we built a house in Burns Beach and camped out there while we getting it ready to rent, so went to IKEA. Whereabouts in Perth are you?

For the first time in ages I'm not short of clothes in Singapore (where it's pretty much impossible to find anything that's not seriously daggy in my size).

In 5 days on the diet, I'd lost enough to wear clothes to work that I'd not worn for ages. Now in week 3, I can fit into another batch that I've not worn for years.

In about 2 months time I'll have so many clothes that I'll have to change every 10 minutes to get through them all!

That's excellent! Remeber to keep trying on, I find it amazing that in a week that I only lose 5cms I can go down a size - it doesn't seem to make sense!!

I live in Rockingham, have been here 4 years now and have grown to love it. Will you be moving into your house in Burns Beach?

Yep, can't wait (putting it mildly!).

I liked Rockingham when we visited (my cousin lives in Golden Bay).

LOL! That would have been funny. If I'm ever in Melbourne and playing in IKEA (!) and someone joins in, I'll know it's you.

I like that, you funny girl.... Of course, as a completely left-brain, analytical, male-type bloke/person my mind wanders in a frantic endeavour to work out how many container-loads of clothes would be required to make that happen....

And then, if true, you be "exercising too much" - so, DON'T DO IT

Rock on - you're doing fine,

Koh

LOL! Cheers, Koh.

Ok, weigh day. Now 93.3kg, which means:

Week 1: 5.1kg, 8cm gone
Week 2: 1.7kg, 4cm
Week 3: 1.6, 8cm
Total: 8.4kg, 20cm

That'll do me! Sleep problems again this week (sprog related). If I could just get him to let me get some sleep I could be losing 10kg/week, LOL!

Actually I'm trying to tell myself that "not TOO fast" is good as it'll give my body/brain time to adjust.

Have a good weekend everyone.

8.4kg in 3 weeks ? What's not fast about that ?

Even your slowest week, *1.6 IN A WEEK*. There are millions of people out there on fad diets and more popular diets who would need to cut of their laft hand to achieve that weightloss in a week.
