I am absolutely freezing too! I am in Perth aswell and it has been cold but I have always been able to manage perfectly fine. Now, I am cold all the time - even if I'm rugged up I usually have ice-block toes, fingers and nose. And I used to love winter!!

Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 21 - Monday 28th June

Good morning cherrubs!!

I'm baaaccckkkkk..... what a weekend!! OMG!! Wow!!

I hope that you all had lovely successful weekends too.

I feel really refreshed and really happy. I had the most amazing weekend at my sisters. My mum ended up getting the weekend off work, so she made the trip with me. We chatted away the whole way up and back and also listened to some music and had a sing along so the drive was just as much fun as the holiday!

So when I arrived, my sister had been out shopping and her fridge was full of all sorts of foods that I could eat - she even brought a bottle of diet sprite just for me.. awww..

So Saturday morning she taught me how to make THE BEST omlette I've ever had! I had to seperate the egg, and used and electric whisk to whisk up the egg whites until you could turn the bowl upside down and they stayed there. Then you slowly add the yolk and whisk very quickly. Then we chopped up capsicum and mushroom small and cooked them in the pan, spread them out and put the egg mix ontop. Then once it was golden brown on the bottom, into the grill until it was golden ontop. Slipped it out of the pan, folded it in half and it was the size of a 'real' dinner plate!! (not the bread plates I've been using now!! lol). It was sooo fluffy and yummy and full of flavour. LOOOVED it, had one Sun morning too!

Sat lunch, she showed me how to make an amazing chicken salad. I'm not a big salad person so wasn't that keen but she insisted I'd like it - and she was right!
First we ground up some chilli flakes, then weighed out my chicken and she rubbed some of the chilli and some salt and peper onto the chicken and cooked it then left it to cool. Second we cooked diced capsicum, mushroom and left that to cool. Then we had some slices of the baby cos lettuce (just the cruchy bits not the leafy bit at the top) and diced tomato (all allowance).

Then that all went into the container once the cooked bits were cool (so as not to wilt the lettuce). THEN we made a yummy dressing, now again, I hate salad dressing so wasn't keen, we she had a low fat Praise Mayo, a teaspoon which she whisked with a small amount of water and then some more of the ground chilli (all allowance of course!). So we took it with us to netball (where we were Sat) and when it came to lunch I poured my dressing over my salad and YUMMMM I nearly licked the container it was so good! mmmmm.... have it today for lunch again too!

So... my surprise... there is a restaurant where she lives which is very fancy and specialises in steaks. We all got really dressed up and she took mum and I to the restaurant. She had already been down there during the week to speak to the head chef and give him all my food and allowances, and when it came to ordering I ordred 'the special' *wink* *wink* and it was amazing!!
They cooked my weight in steak (which was YUMM) and my side salad was all weighed out and the right things and they gave me balsamic on the side. She also had the waiter put Sprite Zero (which she brought and gave to the waiter) into my wine glass. Then he came over with a champagne bucket of ice and put my Sprite in it!! hehe

I cried when she told me what she'd done, and to be able to go out for an amazing dinner at a wonderful fine dining restaurant was just pricess. Mum was in on it too, honestly I'm very lucky to have them (and hubby) supporting me so much. Couldn't survive it without them...

So I had the most amazing weekend away, and I feel refreshed coming back and getting stuck into my program this week. Tuesday next week is my weigh in for month one so that'll be exciting.

Ok, I've written an essay so I'd better stop now! Hope you're all not asleep and thank you for all your msgs over the weekend sending me your love and warm wishes. Hugs to all!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh DC - your weekend sounds fantastic and I am soooooo jealous. Reading about the restuarant and how much trouble your sister had gone to make sure you could eat and enjoy made a tear to my eye. That is so lovely - you are one lucky lady!!!!

I cant wait to try that omlette on the weekend - sounds absolutely amazing!!!!
Even the chicken salad sounds fantastic. Your sister sounds like a great person to have help with on this programme - tell her to keep them all coming as I am guessing we will all be following whatever she gives you with excitement!!!!

Wow DC, what an amazing weekend! I had a tear in my eye too - just so special that your fams would do all of that arranging for you.

So glad you had a good time - you deserve it! And please thank your sis for the recipes on our behalf. I think we will all be using them.

My first month weigh-in is next Monday - I didn't realise you only started one day after me. We really are in this together mate!

Talking Daisy Chain's Personal Diary

Day 22 - Tuesday 29th June

Good morning all!! So today is day 22, week 3, phew... I'm getting there!

Measurements again tonight so fingers crossed there is some more cm's that have dissapeared!

Dinner last night was pretty good, just some breast chicken with paprika (my fav!!) and then some mushrooms and tomato on top. Pretty yummy actually, especially considering I never used to eat mushies!
Didn't get a chance to have my second piece of fruit because when I remembered about it there wouldn't have been enough time before then and going to bed to let it process, so I didn't have it.
I know that it's optional after Day 10, but I find that I really need to keep up the same level of fruit and crackers or else I'll get hungry, and that's where my deamons come out to play!!

Anyways, breakfast this am was natural yoghurt. Now for those of you who have seen my earlier posts, you'll know that the nautral yoghurt was a massive challenge for me - gag factor was way up there - gross stuff!!
I even tried adding fruit etc but nothing worked, anyways, my SS (super sister as she will now be known as - lol) found a new one for me to try - it's Black Swan, no fat, Greek Style Natural Yoghurt. No added sugars or anything, and although not as good as 'normal' yoghurt, with some cinnamon added to it I've been able to eat it without gagging for the last two days. Yay! It's just been good to be able to have something different for breaky for a bit.

So what else... hmm... well today I'm off to DFO for a bit of a shopping trip. Not buying things for me...well maybe some shoes..??...but just going for a look around with a girlfriend. Should be fun. My boss is away for the school holidays so that's given me some time to do things I normally never have the time to do.

Ohhh Ohhh!! Something else - this morning I put on my grey work pants and they started to slip down to my hips too! Woot Woot!! Two pairs of pants down now!

Ok, have a lovely day all.

Feel free to use my diary to ask her qn's, as she's only new on this it's probably the easiest way, until she figures it out - that way everyone else can see the ideas or suggestions too.

Jazzi - feel the love right back atya girl!
